my mum has a very normal office job that includes phone calls with clients. most of them are older and can't write emails.
today, she received a phone call from the son of a client, informing her the woman suddenly died. the son had one last unfinished business: reading my mum the last email she ever wrote but didn't live long enough to send. It was an email thanking my mum.
you see, one day my mum took the time out of her day to teach her how to send emails. she stayed on the line with her, encouraged her, and sent practice messages back and forth. she didn't have to do that. that's not part of her job description. but because of my mum's patience, this 80 year old woman was able to communicate with her wider family and friends, including some living abroad, more frequently.
kindness and patience are never wasted. we all can make a difference in someone's life.

If you combine flavoured fizzy energy drink bit by bit with flavoured unfizzy sorbet and mix it together, you can make a kind of fizzy, doubly flavoured energy drink sorbet and the texture isn't super different from the sorbet texture (unless you add loads of energy drink, or all at once)
I'm having a normal one if anyone is asking

its funny when events that probably couldve been traumatic dont bother you so you'll end up casually dropping stuff like "so after that time i almost got lost at sea as a kid-" and theyll be like WHAT and youre like. oh yeah dont worry its just part of my lore. its honestly not even a top five interesting backstory moment. focus please.

the worst part about ocd and ocd-like tendencies is that you think hyper-analyzing your thoughts and constantly psychoanalyzing yourself will fix you but that's actually part of the disorder. it's the disorder. disordering.

The irony of a scambot/spambot replying to this post with a crypto link lol.
Fascinating - by which I mean worrying - that a lot of the posts in scam identification/awareness tags seem to be AI-generated likely-scams.

The intake report for Yuno really makes me wonder about what exactly Milgram is and how and where/when it operates, y'know

For someone who has been able to write in comprehensible simple French for several years, I'm sure not very confident in it

베르길리우스 - Vergilius
[ID: a digital painted side-profile sketch of Vergilius, aka the Red Gaze, from LCB. He has light grey skin, dark grey hair and red eyes. There is a scar across the bridge of his nose. The collar of a dark grey shirt is shown. He appears to be looking towards the 'camera' with a neutral expression. There is a scribbled red border around him, as well as a grey-blue fragmented background. '베르길리우스' and 'Vergilius' is written in red next to him. The artist's watermark is in red against his hair. /end ID]

When I was about seven, in year 3, I had a spelling test. It was one of those ones where you have to write down a word being spoken to you, a dictation test basically, we had dictation classes a lot when I was little. One of the words I wrote down was 'yolk'. I was pretty pleased with myself for recognising the word, and if I recall correctly, we didn't get sentences for any of these words, so all I had was yolk.
It was marked wrong. Because I didn't spell it yoke.

Unfortunately I never name my files properly. So.
I should dig out my Sancho doodle, maybe give her a bit of colour... her hairstyle in particular is fun to draw, all swoopy
