It's been over a month and I still can't stop thinking about that one line in the intro of Superman(2025).

Like, what the fuck could that possibly mean?

I'm a big enough dc fan to know that the fictional history of people with superpowers goes all the way back to ancient Egypt and beyond (Vandal Savage, anyone?). Also, the 1930s-40s is generally seen as the first major wave of costumed superheroes and villains, because, you know, that's when all the original comics were written and set.

So what the hell is James Gunn implying happened in approximately 1725 that means no, *this* was the start of the age of superhumans, superseding everything that has happened before and since?

Fun fact: the dc universe version of earth is physically larger than the IRL one because there needs to be room for all the extra fictional cities and countries

So I have that "need all the facts before I have fun with a simple idea that doesn't even need any of those facts" issue.

But in a different wiki is only 27 light years away from earth. And then another .3 something lightyears. (Pluto is less than 0.0005 light years from earth (I believe))
