Come one and all! This tournament will pit all 67 of King's iconic novels against one another to find out once and for all what the BEST King book is. This list excludes short story and novella collections (such as Night Shift and Different Seasons) as well as different versions of the same book (the original The Stand vs the complete and uncut edition). Since a traditional bracket has 64 competitors, there will be a preliminary round aimed at cutting the pool down, featuring The Long Walk vs Rage, Roadwork vs The Running Man, and Holly vs Never Flinch). The tournament is seeded by publication order, split into two main brackets of "early" (1974-1997) vs "late" (1997-present) king with 32 entries each. May the best book win!

Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came [Proxy Commander Deck]

The start of yet another proxy commander deck, this time it will just be a mish-mash of all my favorite things in some incoherent mess. The first two are from my favorite book series, Stephen King's The Dark Tower.

Here, we have the Dark Tower as "Command Tower", pretty obvious choice there.

Secondly we have Blaine the Mono as the "Aradara Express." Crew 4 makes for a good reference to Roland, Susannah, Eddie, and Jake riding Blaine.

As for the rest of the numbers on the card? 5 + 8 + 6 = 19. Perfect.

Flagg is an agent of chaos who came to rule over the antagonist forces in Las Vegas after the plague fell in The Stand. He communes with dark forces and can command crows and wolves to act on his behalf simply by thinking about it. He has domain over those who would deceive and sew ruin amongst others, and recruited his second-in-command from a prison cell where he otherwise would have died. Before the plague fell he sewed chaos by participating in opposing political movements, inspiring people to kill and maim others in the name of their beliefs.
