It just got REAL!

It's only been a week and one day since my baby proposed and we have done so much wedding planning it's ridiculous. We wanted to get the ball rolling early because we want to solidify a date and venue so that we can save as much as possible until the big day. One word- crazy. So many people have opinions and it's not easy when they are close loved ones. You don't want to let them down hard and you also don't want to compromise what YOU want on YOUR big day. I do know that it only gets crazier so I've been very laid back thus far lol. It's a blessing to have someone with the same vision as me because we agree on almost everything and we both know what we want. At the end of the day we both are strong willed and we don't care if people don't see our vision! That's the beautiful part about planning a wedding. It's the perfect time to make choices as one and be in agreement. I'm so ready for this journey. I'm in love with it all.

By the way, Carrington is 1 now! 14 months to be exact and she's giving me a run for my money! lol but she's a love bug and there's no denying that she's surrounded with love everyday.

This has been such an amazing 8 months. For the past 8 months and counting, I have been dating the man of my dreams. This man has swept me off of my feet, supported me when I needed him the most, and continued to be the rock in my life. He cares for my daughter as if Carrie is his, and he loves us both unconditionally. I can officially say… WE ARE TYING THE KNOT!! Last evening he proposed to me. I walked in the house and he said baby sit down I need to talk to you about something serious. I thought someone was hurt L or sick… he looked so serious. I started to get nervous because just the day before he found out that a very close loved one passed away. I just wasn’t prepared to hear anything else tragic so I started to busy myself – hanging up clothes and putting laundry away. He was like “Cree, just sit down! I need to talk to you.” I gave in and sat on the couch still hoping there was no bad news. Then he walks over to his laptop and turns on our favorite song, “In Love with You,” by Erykah Badu. He walked over to me and got down on one knee. He said “Cree, we have been together for a little while now and I have been really wanting to ask you this, will you –“ I grabbed him and hugged him and said yes, of course! I didn’t even let him get the whole question out. We hugged and kissed and I just couldn’t believe it. I kept saying “This is real, you really did it.” I am still in awe, seriously. There is so much more that I could add but I’m still on cloud 9, so this is about all my body will allow me to type! I cannot wait to marry the only man that has loved me unconditionally, looking for nothing in return. He has truly turned my life around and I am so thankful for that. Soon, we will be as 1! Aaahhh! I could scream! Next step, wedding planning

It takes strength and power and GOD for a man to raise a child that is not his.

I have finally accepted the stressful and tiring parts of motherhood and now I find joy in them. I love being a mommy.

I hate my exes. All of them. For various reasons.

But most importantly for leaving such an impact on me that would alter how I approach relationships now.

When I get sad I want to eat

I am so thankful that I have the will power to tell myself no, but it’s getting harder. I want cake or brownies or chocolate chip cookies… pretty much anything chocolate eases the stress.

Update.

My baby is growing beautifully. She will be 9 months in about a week. She's standing up on her own and trying to walk. She says mama, and yells very loud lol. She can play with other kids so well, I'm proud because she's an only child. She can feed herself when she's not being lazy. She can clap. And best of all, she kisses me! Yup! Mouth wide open and she makes the mwuuuah noise while doing it lol. I love my daughter!!!!!
