I'm taking A&P I rn and this is how I feel learning about all the cells in my body. Don't get me wrong I am suffering but like.. they deserve some credit. awhileee ago I was like talking about mesmerizer with my friend whenn it was like BIG (not that is isn't now..) and I was like "oh yeah it's about how social media has a bad influence on our mental healths particularly tiktok" and my friend was like "oh damn did not think of it that way" I still think about that conversation.. is Mesmerizer not about doom scrolling? Cause the visual portion is skinny like a tiktok and I thought Miku and Teto being hypnotized was the algorithm. Miku being completely brainwashed was supposed to represent the people fooled entirely by scrolling nonstop not thinking of it and Teto being the ones conscience of their behavior but participate anyway.

being an artist and revisiting media you liked when you were 11 is like. oh ok. this shaped my sense of humor and the way I write characters and the way I pace narratives and the tropes I'm drawn to. and I vastly underestimated how much of an impact it had on me because I literally have not thought about it for 15 years. but it was there inside me the whole time. ok. ok cool! c ool
