Actor Jonathan Joss was just murdered for being gay and married to a trans man. On the first day of pride 2025. He was best known for playing John Redcorn on King of the Hill.

I had no idea he was gay but he was married to a man named Tristan Kern de Gonzales (on valentines day 2025!)

They lived in San Antonio Texas where his family is from and he grew up. He was 59.

In Janurary 2025 his home was burned down which made news. It killed some of his beloved dogs. He didnt elaborate beyond he believed it was arson (gofundme is still up and i suggest donating to help his funeral costs and his husband

Now we know he and his husband had been threatened by several neighbors for being queer. They told pigs, pigs being pigs did nothing before or after it happened.

As they weeped and mourned in shock, a neighbor, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, came out and aimed at de Gonzales…but Joss jumped in front of the bullet and was instantly killed.

Ceja, homophobia murdering coward, tried to take off but de Gonzales had called pigs who vaguely tried to do something. He was arrested and his bail set for $200k. Or as my sister said who the fuck sets bail for a murderer?

This is why we need pride people, and not rainbow capitalism. Please donate to the gofundme and let san antonio cops knows what you think. De Gonzales said multiple neighbors had threatened them…id like to see those people investigated for arson.

Which explains the ramp up of hate and why the murderer shot at de Gonzales (Joss pushed him out of the way). So this is also a transphobia related murder

The tenth annual Dean/Cas Pinefest is officially open for registration!

Now entering its tenth year, DCPF is an annual big-bang style challenge for authors & artists in the Destiel corner of SPN fandom.

Since 2016, this little community has come together to share a staggering 10.6 million words of Destiel fic, and close to a thousand accompanying works of art. It's truly a joy to see what everyone creates every year, and we can't wait for this next round to begin!

Registration will remain open from now until September 30th for authors, with fic drafts & claims information due by November 30th.

Artists may continue to sign up until November 30th, and will have several days to peruse all available fics ahead of anonymous claims on December 6th.

After claims, author/artist teams will have roughly 3 months to complete their fics and artwork before posting commences on pi(e) day – March 14, 2026!

And to mark the occasion of our tenth year, we're introducing themed badges for authors and artists who hit certain milestones during the challenge, as well as the Evergreen Mini-Challenge! This is a series of optional creative challenges that can be filled beyond the usual scope of fic and art. Think of it like a pine-scented, destiel-themed GISH, with more open prompt parameters and a much less stressful time frame.

obsessed with the production of Hamlet I just saw. It opened with movie studio nepo baby Hamlet eating out Ophelia. Polonius and Claudius did a fuck ton of cocaine. Gertrude was constantly wearing the most femme fatale film noir costumes I’ve ever seen (and it was Gina Torres, so my GOD did she rock it). The Murder of Gonzago was a tiktok, complete with emojis. At one point Hamlet tried to give Ophelia a giant pink teddy bear while wearing sock garters, a robe, and nothing else. Fortinbras was a fixer for the studio and wore a fedora and trench coat. The duel at the end was an interpretive dance featuring the choreographed application of fake blood. Hamlet was even bisexual.

The Countdown trailer looks like fun. Actiony action thriller!! Explosions!! Banter!! Team building!! Saving people!!! The action thriller business!!!! Jensen's character seems to be slightly chaotic while being effective. And I'm a bit light-headed over getting to see him in a production of this kind of scale with the big stunts.
