roadrunner probably sees some really wacky stuff in roadside attractions on its travels through the desert (some examples: Mark Twain's toilet, World's Largest Beetle, a shack built out of dinosaur bones, Hotdog-Shaped Diner. roadrunner could've even seen a living, breathing Mike the Headless Chicken during his display tours). which is probably why it stopped for the "learn to play the piano" and "get your photo taken free" traps that coyote set up, not to mention all the "free birdseed!" rest stops.
nothing about this would trigger any red flags after being exposed to so many oddities. alien-dinosaur-sasquatch museums and such.
