āThe world beyond the walls is overwhelming, Master,ā he said.Ā āIāve traveled quite a bit. I know what Iām talking about. I found friends on the trail, but then I lost them. Almost everyone. I donāt know if you have anything to envy.ā

With CDPR confirming Witcher 4 production starts 2022, and that Geraltās story is over, Iām kinda praying for Young!Vesemir š Iād much rather have that than a new protagonist we donāt know, and I think it would be interesting to explore the earlier history of the wolf witchers, before the fall of Kaer Morhen.
I mean being real I would have preferred a young Geralt, but I doubt weāre gonna see him as a protagonist ever again.
But a young Vesemir would be nice and tie in with the anime as well. Iām somewhat worried they will go for a completely new protagonist and potentially a different witcher school and location as well. While I see the appeal of new things, I feel if thereās a new character, new school, new country then thereās nothing left to spark an emotional attachment for the player when going into the game. It would be nice to still have some ties to the old story that we know and love, something to keep us emotionally involved from the get-go.
Also young Vesemir was a fucking babe.

I propose that instead of having the traits of domestic short-hairs, Cat witchers are more like purebred Siamese:
Extremely loud. Love to talk. Love the sound of themselves talking
They attach to one person and become wildly clingy and co-dependent
Gotta have something in their mouth at all times. Candy, mint leaves, coc-- ...coconut
Have an exaggerated physical characteristic eg: larger eyes, ears, nose
Always hungry. Will eat food out of your hand as you try to put it in your own mouth. If you're eating a sandwich, they're eating the other end
Very curious. People mistake this for intelligence. Nope; they can and will get stuck in places because "I wanted to see if my head would fit"
They don't actually mind water. Unless it's rain. And then they are super dramatic about getting warm again
Don't understand the concept of personal space. If there are no seats and your lap is empty, guess where they're gonna sit
Hidden talent: yodelling
In conclusion: they are dumb as hell, but very personable and handsome. They are hyper-aware of the latter two things.

Yearly Cat Caravan Tradition: Bonding by hearing the latest gossip on the non-Cat witcher boyfriends and roasting the hell out of Gaetan and Aiden
This is my take on all the Cats' faces! (Yes some did change from last I drew them and I'm sure they will change again š)
These are all canon Cat Witchers, either mentioned in one of the games or extended content, and their origins are below:
Gaetan, Aiden, Kiyan, Axel, Cedric, Schrƶdinger, and Joƫl are from The Witcher 3
Guxart is from the WiedÅŗmin Zdrada comics
Dragonfly is from WiedÅŗmin: Gra WyobraÅŗni
Kylar and Kinka are from Gwent. Kylar gets his name from The Witcher: Old World board game, and while Kinka is officially "Cat Witcher Mentor" in Gwent, I loved the Cakeshop's name for him, so I kept that here :3

Can I just say that it makes me feel icky that the twn fandom portrays Geralt and the other witchers as uncultured, uneducated cavemen who never wash themselves. Himbo trope and memes aside, witchers are smart as hell, they are educated - they know alchemy, basic magic, human and monster biology, geography and much more. They need all that knowledge to survive, education is a huge part of their job. Just because theyāre not familiar with every culture and customs in the world, (which is understandable, because they never stay in one place for too long)Ā doesnāt mean theyāre stupid. From a young age, theyāre taught to keep their emotions in check, go through very traumatic things as part of their training, so yeah, theyāre a little awkward around people and they grew up isolated from the world, so their manners might be lacking a little. That still doesnāt mean theyāre some kind of uncultured cavemen. They developed their own culture, but are generally open-minded, so they donāt mind learning about other cultures or religions. Iād say theyāre more educated than some home-schooled posh bastard, because theyāre well-travelled and keep learning new things on The Path. The twn fandom does witchers a huge disservice.

I declare this Letho finished!
I started this back in June, maybe, whenever it was that I got CSP and started playing with the brushes to find which ones I like.Ā This is the gouache brush and I love how it blends colours together, itās so soft and smooshy and tactile to use. However Iām convinced Iām using it in the most inefficient way possible!Ā
I see looking up tutorials on these brushes and how they work in my future. Maybe. One day. If I rememberā¦

There is one particular ship dynamic that never fails to wreck me, and Iāll call it Soulmates, But Not Like That. Not in aĀ āsome higher power has decided that we are destined to be togetherā way, but something that is almost the opposite of that. Itās that character who has been alone for a long time, and has maybe convinced themselves that they will be alone forever, and who has a lot of barriers to intimacy with most of the people around them, for whatever the relevant narrative reasons are. And then they just happen to cross paths with thisĀ ONE FUCKING PERSON who works for them, through some very specific combination of personality and circumstance and life experience and mutually compatible damage. And there is always the shock of what are the fucking odds, and underneath everything the terror of what if this doesnāt last. what if thereās no one else. I would just go back to being alone. I donāt know if I could do that after knowing this. Because when you finally let down that wall of emotional self-sufficiency the thought of having to put it back up again is painful. And in real life I donāt at all believe that there is only One Designated Person for anyone, but in fiction I do tend to gravitate toward characters who believe themselves to be The Only One in some way, and I will always be emotionally compromised by that dawning sense of oh. You are like me.

"And Yaevinn?"
"He was here a second ago, keeping an eye on you until I arrived. Then he had to go."
Although Geralt promised the wounded Yaevinn "I'll come back for you", before he left to face the enemy, it was Yaevinn who returned to watch over the unconcious Geralt (who was fighting for his life, trapped inside the Grandmaster's illusion). Geralt woke up just a moment after he had left, too late to say farewell..šš
mirrored companion piece to this.

What weāve seen from the trailers so far Ciri seems very feminine compared to her book counter-part. At this point in the books sheās just a kid doing her best to be a witcher. When Triss first sees her at Kaer Morhen she mistakes her for a boy, until she actually takes a good look at Ciri. Sheās dirty, dressed in patchwork armor/clothes, and has a bad haircut.Ā Ā Ā Ā
(let me know if you need direct quotes from Blood of Elves)
Maybe they are using her design from the Witcher 3 as kind of jumping off point but that seems weird to me... Its more likely they are trying to figure out a way to make what happens later on in the books not as pedophily by making her seem older but I donāt know.
hey! witcher fans of the netflix/games/books variety, can you do me a favor and tell me what your opinion is on ciriās posters for season 2?
i am writing an oped on the feminization of ciri when shes supposed to be roughly 13/14 and i need other peopleās opinions for this.
tagging a few people who i think might be able to help, but if not, no pressure! but i need this in asap
