“Well, if you can’t find what you need here, then I doubt you’ll find it anywhere, Magilou.” Akane sighed, looking off into the distance through the expansive isles that seemed to never end- forever twisting and turning into a maze of furniture and small decoratives. 

Surely Magilou’d find something here.

“That sounds like a plan. After all, you have no way of knowing if your decorations will coordinate with your large furniture until you’ve gotten the big things out of the way. Here, you just point to what you want, and I’ll take note.”

After a moment of fiddling with their phone, pulling up their notepad application, Akane looked over to the other, a gentle smile prodding them forward, “Shall we?”

Magilou happily skips after Akane. There was so much to choose from! So much to decide on! She’d need to settle with first planning the room on what she needed in way of large furniture, and where it would go. She already had a vague idea, it was just time to find the pieces that would put it together.

“Ooo~! That bookshelf would look really nice~! And let’s see, that dresser!!”

Magilou kept pointing excitedly to what she wanted. Most of it was either already pink or purple, or white and could easily be painted however she wanted. She pauses for long enough to give Akane enough time to write things down. 

“I’m a visionary, Akane. I have a vision. It’s for my bedroom, but Empyreans, it is a vision.”

She stares off dramatically into the distance until she realizes they’ve caught up typing and continues her game of “point at things because she wants them.”

Dio was a diva, that was for sure, but even he was prone to wearing casual clothing from time to time - especially in the winter, where he almost never went out. This was an exception, but he still couldn’t bring himself to wear anything spectacular. Just for today, he’d let Magilou attract all the attention. 

He wrinkled his nose at the mention of Rika. That snake had been on his nerves lately, showing up randomly to his house and going out of her way to annoy him. It just pissed him off. “What does she have to do with anything?” he asked, a bit sharply. “She doesn’t live here.” And for good reason! 

The scarf was tossed around his neck, Magilou circling him with a bouncy twirl as she did so. He smirked, bringing a hand to her waist and pulling her in for a quick kiss. 

“Thanks. Really completes the look. I’ll let you be the fashion master today.”

Ooo did Magilou strike a nerve with Rika~? Dio could be so cute when he was irritated~ Still, she kisses him back, despite the devious smirk on her face.

“Today~?? Dio, sweetheart, don’t kid yourself. I’m always the fashion master in this relationship~” 

She checks the time on her phone before letting out a gasp.

“Dio, we don’t have time to argue over who’s the pretty one!! There are sharks that need to be petted and I’m going to touch every single one!” 

She tugs him along behind her as she hurries along her way to the aquarium. There are so many things to pet and so little time!

Aria take out her phone as she start to ask question. Every answer Magilou answer Aria type in her phone as the first place she look Magilou dressing room. Specficially checking each of her outfit to see if by chance she left it in the pocket.

“Is the earing expensive? Any of your employee recently have money problems? Any other workers can go into your office? Where the last time you seen it? You got any secruity cameras around this place? Also you mind if i question some of your employees myself?”

A load of question….but it’s standard prodceure. Aria a good detective but she can’t fucking solve a case without asking some questions. It’s not like she can automatically know where the earing is.

Hmmm...Employees? Magilou would have to think about this a bit more. What with people leaving and coming into the city all the time...

“Mmm, I wouldn’t really say it’s that expensive. It’s more of a sentimentality value. ...It is several hundred years old, though, so I’m not sure~ My office tends to be open, it’s not like I really keep much in there, and Cereus prefers having the door open.”

That’s how pets always seem to be...Or maybe that’s just how cats, Normin, and Mimikyus were.

“I had it the other week, I know that much. And sure, feel free to talk to whoever you want, and check the security~ Whatever it takes~”

“Phone thing? Well… you take your phone and… um…”

Now that he realized it, though he had a phone, Maxwell wasn’t too well-versed with it either. It took him quite some time to simply learn how to text and even then there was still some difficulty.

“Well there’s this screen on the phone that you tap… and apparently then there’s this thing you can look to search for stuff… you though have to tap out the name of what you’re looking for into it and… uh… you know what I mean, right?”

Magilou is giving him possibly the blankest expression possible. Technology just isn’t a thing where she’s from. Isn’t there a world map she could consult?? Eizen always had one of those, didn’t he? Hell, she’d even take Laphicet’s compass. 

“Right so you...tap...the name...”

She’s trying. Really, really trying. It’s not her fault she’s as bad with technology as a 60 year old.

“Oh~! It says that it’s nearby~! I think...Is that street near here?”

Magilou is trying to get a grasp on the whole “mahou shoujo” thing. It’s not something she’s entirely new to. After all, a witch is just a type of magical girl, right~? And Ojamajo Magilou is here to...be stuck upside down in a tree. Yikes.

She’s still trying to figure out how to use the broom that came with her costume, and she sighs heavily. Time to ask a passerby for help.

“Hey uhhh would you mind giving a witch a hand getting out of a tree?”

Magilou’s new costume certainly seems to be musically based, which is maybe a bit odd, but she’s more than willing to embrace it. It also super fits her due to its witchy nature.

But catching sight of someone with a musical sort of theme going on makes them the perfect person to harass help out!

She dismounts from her broom, ignoring the monsters she should probably be fighting.

“Heya~! Need a hand at all~?”

Still, with a wave of her wand, she knocks those sad little monsters away. She cheers, and then turns to see Travis. Perfect.

Magilou has never been one for like, actually being good at romance, but she can appreciate a rose, and a kiss.

“Oh ho~ Thanks, Dio~ I got you something too~”

After all, it’s customary for her to give him chocolate, right?

Though not a romantic by any means, Dio was able to remember what day it is. Leaving a single rose for Magilou on the counter, he waits for her to return to the house before scooping her up for a kiss.

{ this idea kind of came to me on twitter but…as you guys may know (or may not know!) i’m a journalism major, and the idea of making a sort of “news specific” blog is something i’d kind of like to do? i know for me personally when a lot of shit is going down from a bunch of different blogs, it can be hard to get all the details! 

the idea for the blog would be for people who are doing their own events (whether a party, ball, or blowing up a sector) to send in short reports of details that could then be posted to the blog and also in the ca news tag for easy access! of course anyone who wants to help with the news blog would be allowed to as well, and if you ARE doing something “newsworthy” it wouldn’t be required to give a short report (or even just a heads up like “hey i’m doing x thing check out my recent posts”), just if you want to to help ppl know what’s going on! 

this is a big group and i thought the idea might be helpful…? i’d most certainly be glad to put together informational reports for events, even if you just send a quick heads up, rather than writing it yourself in the news tag! so idk! what do y’all think of my journalism loving ass’s idea }

Akane didn’t actually do much to add color into their own living space… it wasn’t that Akane didn’t have style, rather that Akane didn’t spend much time worried about the aesthetic of her surroundings. Though, once Junpei’d commented saying that minimalism had nothing on Akane… so maybe it was best to find something to bring some life into things?

A little bit of personality never hurt anything, and Magilou seemed to have plenty to share. 

“Of course,” Akane couldn’t help but stifle a bit of a laugh, “Though the only real difference between building and buying is who puts in the effort- at the end of the day you either have something that works or snaps. It’s kind of interested in a way- a great parallel Magilou,”

The store itself was massive- almost absurdly so.

“I bet one could fit an entire sector in one of these, don’t you think?”

Akane could get surprisingly deep when it came to buying furniture. Magilou nodded appreciatively to the insights. She didn’t care much if she was the one building the furniture or not, but it would certainly add a bit more excitement to the whole process!!

And in regards to the size of the store, Magilou had to agree. In fact, it almost seemed as if it was larger on the inside than it was on the outside. In this city, Magilou couldn’t be too surprised.

“Wow, it almost feels like a sector all its own~!! I’ve actually never been here before, do you think we’ll find everything we’re looking for? I’d like to start with getting the large furniture we need, and then I can add accessories later~”

Travis barely reacts to the first line. Just figures it’s Magilou being Magilou. Y’know, a total drama queen. Her mood swing upon seeing him only serves to confirm it.

… And her tone of voice causes the otaku to grimace. This is a trap. He knows this is such an obvious fucking trap. But he also knows that it’s pointless to resist, so off he goes.

“Sure, whatever. But it’s your fault if I punch in late.” He’s already late, but who’s noticing?

He’s already late. Magilou knows how to keep impeccable time, even if she’s moping in despair. And if he’s late, that means less time she has to pay him for. It’s overall his loss.

But she has more important things to care about than if Travis is super fucking late or not. First is...

“Cereus! Get off that counter right now, young lady!”

She shoos the Mimikyu off the counter, who bounces off to play with her stuffed tiger instead.

“So, Travis, come here. I have something I need you to taste test~”

She hands him a rather...vibrantly pink-ish purple mix of alcohol. It also has glitter.

“You know, shouting out loud isn’t going to help you out in finding it, Miss,” was Maxwell’s quick response, having been caught off guard by her frustration and shouting.

“Have you considered checking your phone to see where it’s located? Maybe look up the name of the store and you might get lucky. Or maybe instead go to another Sector. I hear Sector 005 is pretty good on its selection of goods.”

Her phone could do that? Magilou pulled out the device in question, giving it an intense look. She had actually no idea how this thing worked, aside from basic texting and calling. You didn’t come across many phones in a world that relied on magic.

“Uh...Okay...and how do I do that...the...phone thing?”

She might be skilled in magic, but she’s pathetic when it comes to technology. Sector 005 would be her backup plan, since she was already in 001.

Honestly? Aria actually haven’t been to Magilou movie club for a while. To occupy with trying to understand this city as by chance she cross Magilou hideout and the owner just happen to be outside. 

“…..Sure.”

Eh she a detective. She always take case as long as her client manage to pay up. Any client who try to cheat Aria out of a pay normally ends up in deeper trouble. Aria just happen to have the city healthy inspector phone number memorize.  

Also one look at Magilou. The whole witch hat and how she normally talk and Aria already got a feeling the owner might try to cheat her sooner or later.

Still….taking the case means Aria gonna give her hundred percent for it. Her pride as a detective demand that much. No matter how embarrassing or stupid it is. Taking the case means Aria promise to find Magilou object no matter what.

Wonderful! Now Magilou would find the missing object in question no matter what! And if it had been stolen, she was going to make someone pay. Like, either a replacement, or she’d fight them. Whatever happened, happened.

“So, it’s this earring I wear sometimes, right?” 

Magilou gestures vaguely at where the earring should be, had it not been missing.

“It’s a light lavender-silver kinda color, and about this big.” She indicates the size through gesturing yet again.

“I wear it at the club sometimes, as it goes with some of my costumes! But it’s really important to me, and I can’t find it~! I’ve looked all over the club, and Dio’s house, but I have no idea where it went!!”

“Yes, it’s Zal. You’re… Magilou right?” Zal was also pretty sure this was the woman trying to set trees outside the winter ball on fire. If that didn’t speak to the general nature of the city, she wasn’t sure what did.

“I’m not currently busy at the moment, no. And yes, there actually is. I’ve never been to it myself though. Never interested me. Why do you ask…?”

“Perfect.”

The way Magilou said that single word, anyone with half an ounce of sense would start running for the hills of one of the outer districts. But Magilou had her newest victim accessory to a crime companion,and a plan. 

“Yep, that’s me~! Magilou~!”

“Well, I need to go to the zoo, and I’d like you to accompany me~ There’s just ah, something I need to pick up~ ...You do think there’s tigers, there, right?”
