Meet the New Community Manager

Hi, my name is Suzanne Nguyen and I am the new Community Manager for The Workben.ch 

I have moved to Sydney from Melbourne as I wanted to expand my creative practice. I am happy that I found a space to work and draw. While I'm not looking after the space, I work as a story collector, artist and designer. The stories I collect becomes the basis and inspiration for my art making process. One of the things I hope to do more while I am at Workben.ch is to collect stories about Sydney, especially your story.

Fast Company have picked up some stats from [Deskmag's Global Coworking Survey from 2012](http://www.deskmag.com/en/1st-results-of-the-3rd-global-coworking-survey-2012) that show how important coworking and collaboration are to growing small and medium businesses. > Compared to a traditional office, Deskmag found that an overwhelming majority (90 percent) of coworkers said they got a self-confidence boost, likely due to the fact that many spaces are filled with supportive communities that enable creative collaboration. > By running his small businesses in a curated coworking space, [American small business owner Dodd Caldwell] says, “I get the advantages of the culture of a medium-size business without having to deal with most of the downsides that come with it, like bureaucracy.” > One of the main advantages to coworking, Caldwell says, is the ease of collaborating with other companies sharing the space, many of which don’t have more than three people. “Sometimes that's just tapping someone outside of your team on the shoulder and asking their opinion. Other times, it may be a 15-minute whiteboarding session with a developer on another startup.”
