A TELEPATHIC MESSAGE FROM THE QUIET COUNCIL OF KRAKOA –

The Quiet Council has a new configuring in light of certain events, i.e. the absence of Destiny and Mystique. We now sit as follows:

From the personal journal of M. Sinister.

Did you miss me? I hope you missed me. I’ve missed you dearly. It’s a big, bright beautiful world and the pit of Krakoa was oh so very drab and dark. Really, I would not recommend. All I could do was hold on to the hope that my mechanizations would come to fruition in my absence. It’s a rather big ask of fledgling little Sinister’s, but what’s a genius to do? Faith, trust and a little bit of genetically altered spliced D.N.A. will get the job done.

My, what a moment we are living in. I’ve come back to a great number of wonderful happenstances. My puppets have done as they were designed to do: they have acted like  a plague and infected the weak so that they too could become strong. More and more of the so called heroes have fallen under what will eventually be revealed to be my sway. The Five are entirely corrupted now and resurrect tarnished genetic samples without a care in the world. Prominent Avengers have joined the alliance and are hardwired to fight the X-Men without knowing why. How terrible it will reflect upon them; resurrected by the mutants they were, and yet, they turn to violence against them. Following the initial fell swoop that culled some of the Avengers at the Avengers Mansion, we have been sneakily arranging the death and replacement of whoever we can get our grubby little hands on. The now corrupted — although I prefer to think of them as purified — have been recorded below for future prosperity.

Where do we go from here? Well, pet, the only place is up. As I write, the Avengers and the X-Men are priming for battle. We will walk away victorious while they will lick their wounds publicly. We win, they lose. Ha. Of course, we have our adversaries. Raven remains the treacherous thorn in the side she’s always been, and her wife threatens ruination for all. They’ve absconded in the night like fugitives. Less subtle is Storm. She’s always been all thunder and lightening. Her teaming up with Raven and Irene could put a stop to the entire ordeal, so we’ll have to remain ahead of them. It’s tricky when one is a precog, isn’t it? Nevertheless, we will persevere. 

Now that I’ve returned, expect to see me more often, dear diary. I will diligently keep record of all that transpires. The Fall of X is a wondrous place to be, isn’t it?

A private conversation between Emma Frost and Charles Xavier, 5 April 2026.

XAVIER: Sinister was out of the picture. There was no reality where he could remain untried for his crimes against the Council, even as the four newly improved members stood and watched as the Pit swallowed Essex whole. It was time for a new age for Krakoa, and Charles wasn’t going to waste any time before ushering in the new era. He stood in the House of X, gazing into his figure in the mirror at the red diamond that was now planted on his forehead as he heard the telltale sound of Emma’s heeled shoes stepping through the doorway. “Emma.”

FROST: Diamonds are a girls best friend. Emma Frost knows that better than anyone. Diamonds are a girls best friend, and that’s part of the reason why the red stone now embedded in her forehead isn’t a bad thing. “Charles.” She observes him gazing at himself for a moment. “It would appear we have something in common, darling.” The animosity she had felt towards him and Erik as of late has been dulled by Sinister’s sway. “We need to talk about this evening.”

XAVIER: "I was so afraid of this, but it's so.. beautiful. I feel so free. It's intoxicating." Charles admitted quietly as he turned his admiration away from the red diamond on his forehead and onto the blonde in front of him. "It's a shame to keep it hidden," There was a pause. "But you are right. We need to set our sights on the future. Is everything arranged?"

FROST: Emma is rarely a fan of keeping things hidden. She’s not one to air out all of her dirty laundry unnecessarily, but brutal honesty often leaves her lips. “As arranged as they could be.” The blonde nods once. “No one will know it was us.”

XAVIER: If he were in his right mind, or more accurately his own mind, Charles would be appalled by what they were currently plotting. But in that moment a smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he nodded at the blonde's words. "We should find it simple enough to promote the Phoenix Foundation once everything is said and done, then."

FROST: “Should we feel bad, darling?” Emma asks, the ice in her gaze softening momentarily. Should they feel bad for murdering innocents? “Personally, I don’t think so. Not after our innocents were taken and abused.”

XAVIER: Charles took a second to ponder that. Once again, prior to his new awakening he might have had more reservations about detonating a bomb on several members of the Avengers, on their supposed allies. But in that moment it just felt right. "It's all pieces to a much larger puzzle, Emma. You know that. Their lives will serve a greater purpose." A more Sinister purpose, he almost added. But that felt a little on the nose.

FROST: “I do love it when you speak so logically.” Emma demurs. “I’ll see you this evening.” And with that, she left.

Well, hello there. Surprised to see me? I’d wager not as you are me. You know I just can’t resist a clever quip. There’s something important to be said, however. By the time you read this, I will be dead. No, not really. I’m being facetious. I may as well be dead. I’ll be swallowed whole by Krakoa like a fish into the belly of a whale.

This, my dear me, is a necessary tragedy.

It would seem my plotting is successful. You see, I have cloned Moira Mactaggert ten times over. Due to her handy little powers, that’s ten chances to reset the timeline should things not go my way. And oh, my. Things did not go my way nine times over. That’s how many Moira’s I had to waste in order to successfully kill Emma, Charles, Hope and Exodus in one shot. The latter two proved the hardest. For a woman made of diamond, Frost shatters easily. And Chuck? Bah. What’s left to be said about Charles Xavier that hasn’t been said already?  No, it was that damned Hope Summers. All of Krakoa mourned her. Perhaps she is the Messiah. It matters not now that she’s my puppet.

Yes, puppet.

You read that right: puppets tangled in Sinister’s strings. If you must know, I did a little oopsie. The D.N.A. that Krakoa gets from my labs has been corrupted. I may have spliced some of my own D.N.A. in with theirs. They’re not clones, per se. I’ve left enough of them there to remain autonomous. They’ve just been improved. Bettered, so to say. They will now do what I cannot.

I’m afraid, my darling other, that it’s time to go. They’ll come to collect me and off to the pit I’ll go. High-ho, high-ho. It’s now up to Emma, Charles, Hope and Exodus -- my friends in high places. My last Moira is hidden, and I expect her to be there when I am released, for I will be released.

Nathaniel Essex, the genius known as Mister Sinister

THE PREAMBLE:

The minutes from the Quiet Council of Krakoa’s meeting as explained by Mister Sinister.

 This meeting was called to take a vote. After several high profile mutants were kidnapped and absorbed into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Pleasant Hill, the Council made a wartime decision to execute the reality warped victims and resurrect them as whole beings once more. This was done without an official vote. Word has officially leaked to both Krakoa and the Avengers, neither of which are happy. Now, a new problem presents itself. The mutants who weren’t saved are now trapped under a faulty spell by the Scarlet Witch and Wiccan that has returned them to themselves but left their Pleasant Hill counterparts in their heads. The Council must now decide if they will once again execute and resurrect, or if they will have to find another way to fix things.

The following come from the private journal of Nathaniel Essex, the mutant known as Mister Sinister. These private musings are indicative of his personal views. They also seem to imply that Essex is working on some other plot, but no other journal entries have been recovered.

THE PROCEEDINGS:

It seems everyone was quite naughty in my absence. It figures, of course, that the meeting I missed would be the one where they finally reveal their bloodlust. Oh, Quiet Council. You dirty, corrupt thing you. How bad you’ve been. But alas, the Council sits whole again with the exception of Storm. Her hands are in so many pots that I hope she won’t see my true designations until it’s too late. In any case, she refuses a back-up. If she happened to eat it (oopsies!) there will be no resurrections for the so called goddess. This is very good.

Back to the matters at hand.

The Council’s little transgression has been revealed to the world. The snapped necks of Jean Grey, Hope Summers and darling Destiny may have solved the problem in the moment but now have created a larger one. Harm no man. A ridiculous rule, really. Man has harmed man since before Cain offed Able. But no, no. Krakoa is oh so very good until it has an excuse to not be. It’s almost commendable how gray the moral center of Krakoa is.

Today, the Council takes an “official”  vote on if the murder spree can continue. At least four mutants have returned from that little town corrupted. Shall we snap their necks as well and give them a good ol’ resurrection? The proceeding are as messy as always.

The Question: should we stick with the tried and true method of snapping necks and resurrecting the poor souls? 

The responses are as follows:

Charles Xavier unsurprisingly says no. There’s much he’ll do for his nation, but I believe the word “optics” comes up. Oh, Chuck. Still operating under the guise of a man with morals.

Vote: 1 against, 0 in favor.

Hope Summers votes yes. It happened to her and she lived through it, pun intended. She’s a true thorn in my side. If my plans are to come into fruition (they’re secret, so don’t ask what they are yet), then I’ll have to dispatch her first — and quickly. I’ll have to get rid of her religious nut of a guard dog as well. 

He — Exodus — votes yes as well, by the way. Considering Hope’s vote, that’s unsurprising. 

Vote: 1 against, 2 in favor.

Nightcrawler and Colossus are as unshakably upstanding as always and vote no. Kurt is a man of a God (a God that’s not real, mind you) and has morals. Colossus is being mind controlled by the Russians — but we don’t know that yet. For Nightcrawler, it’s more than “optics”. It’s morality. The Council has a duty to people to act with the upmost sense of justice. Honestly, the entire spiel is rather long and self indulgent. I’m not sure where he gets it considering the fact that his mother is so amoral. It’s clearly not genetic. Considering the fact that Storm is on Arakko, her vote is forfeited. That means the Summer faction of the Quiet Council is in agreement.

Vote: 3 against, 2 in favor.

We turn now to the Winter faction, where yours truly sits. I have been in close conference with my dear old acquaintances, Destiny and Mystique. As always, Irene says the same thing: if we are to win, we must work together. She’s a tricky little precog. Working together is not always what it seems, though. I know what she’s told me in cryptic words. I cast my vote:

Mister Sinister votes no. This is the only way, apparently. I trust no one but I will not be caught playing the fool. Not when I have so much I need to accomplish. That’s why it’s a surprise when Destiny casts her vote.

Destiny votes yes. That little snake. I can’t see her face behind that damned gold face plate, but her head tips to the side. I know what that means. Hold the course. 

Mystique votes yes. She would have even if her wife hadn’t. Raven’s always been incredibly trigger happy. With my dissenting, the Winter faction stands divided.

Vote: 4 against, 4 in favor.

The final decision will be decided in the Spring faction where the Hellfire Trading Company rules supreme. If there’s anyone to finalize the vote, I would have preferred it not to be them. Shaw drinks and it’s only 9 am. Ariel-Sprite-Kitty-Kate is as self-righteous as Kurt is. And Emma? What is there to say about Emma Frost that has not been said already? She is a Frost through and through: ruthless, selfish, cold. Her predictable nature will no doubt be shown in her vote.

Kate Pryde votes no. She has to speak about it, of course. Krakoa wasn’t forged as an independent nation so we could murder with impunity. Impunity. Someone clearly did well on her vocabulary test. The poor dear has eighteen failed resurrections. Perhaps one can’t blame her for being hesitant when it comes to using it as a solution, but I think her reluctance may be a sign of a bigger weakness overall.

Vote: 5 against, 4 in favor.

Sebastian Shaw votes yes. Again, unsurprising. He makes a point to note that people die all the time. With his vote, the motion is tied. The White Queen will end the tie breaker and we’ll continue to snap the necks of... Oh? But what is this?

Vote: 5 against, 5 in favor.

Emma Frost votes no. What is this? A no? Her own daughter is among those suffering, but she stands in opposition? This — this — is a surprise. I spy with my little black eye Destiny nod at her from across the chambers. It would seem Irene’s voice is in more than just my ear. The White Queen provides little reasoning and the vote ends.

Vote: 6 against, 5 in favor. The Vote is over. The motion has failed.

I’ll spare you, reader, the rest. The Council continues the session before dispersing. Oh, how badly I’d like to know what Destiny has told the White Queen or what’s been promised. I doubt Emma will tell me, that shrewd bitch. I’ll have to wait, just like I must for many other things. The Council has reached a decision that leaves some unhappy. I wonder how unhappy they’ll be when my dominos fall into place soon. I wonder how proud they’ll be when I bring them to their knees. Yes, I wonder.

But that’s for another time, isn’t it?

With some of their own abducted by S.H.I.E.L.D. and assimilated into Pleasant Hill, the Quiet Council of Krakoa met for an emergency meeting to discuss how to proceed. Although they came to a solution, it turned out to be rather unconventional and paved the way for conflict in the future.

It’s that time of the year once more. The Hellfire Gala is upon us and we are elated to welcome humans, mutants and all others to Mykines Island to celebrate the partnership between humans and mutants. This year, we’ll be honoring those who benefit from our medicines and petals. Of course, I’d be remiss if I did not mention the recent bombshell that Cyclops so lovingly blew up in our faces regarding the secrets of mutant resurrections. We expect people to attempt to crash the Gala in an attempt to prove a point, and as a result the Five have been prohibited from attending. They are to stay in the Healing Gardens with a chaperone at all times.

Like last year, I must thank you and X-Force the services you’ll provide to keep the event safe and secure. Unlike last year, however, I request that you do not let anyone get murdered again. What happened with Wanda Maximoff cannot be repeated. Keeping that in mind, please reach out telepathically if there is an EMERGENCY of any sort. Both myself and the Cuckoo’s will be keeping our minds tuned in.

A blast from a past and the slutty sister. Which is worse, the kid of the traitor? Some people can’t stay in their lane, and it looks like one glowing eyed mutant is willing to break up the space/time continue to get some ass. It’s a frosty ass, so who can blame him? Too bad the Cuckoo hasn’t flown the nest. Clone sisters can be incredibly territorial. 

Telepaths and Red Heads and Goblins! Oh My! Clones remain the hot topic, dearies, and some are far from good. It’s the land of second chances, blah, blah, blah. One is back and recreating family ties. Dear ol’ hubby has moved on and the boyf seems pretty cozy. What’s a girl to do? Go mad? Maybe, maybe.

Some older news: He's the best there is at what he does. She's married with a kid. The husband knows exactly what's going on, but who is he to point the finger? He's up to much the same, and more. Maybe this is just the new normal on the mutant island.

A PRIVATE MESSAGE FROM CHARLES XAVIER & EMMA FROST -- 

TO: the quiet council of krakoa, the x-factor team (eye boy, prodigy, northstar, aurora, akihiro & marvel girl), the x-force team (sage, domino, wolverine, kid omega & beast), the x-men (cyclops, marvel girl, wolverine, synch, polaris & sunspot), the combat captains (magik, bishop, psylocke)

AS WE’RE SURE YOU’VE HEARD, 

Wanda Maximoff has been killed on the Island. As it stands, we have no idea who did it. Her death was a fight. Maximoff was dragged backwards by her neck and broke her nails trying to claw free. While Magneto was the first suspect, he was with the White Queen during the fireworks. X-Factor is currently looking into if he had any motive to lure Maximoff to her untimely death. They will also be leading the investigation with Polaris briefly returning to the team to help.

In the meanwhile, the Healing Gardens have been locked down. Maximoff’s body was being stored there but has appeared to disappeared in the days since. As it stands, the Council is in debate on if Maximoff should be moved to the front of the resurrection queue. Due to an undetermined error, the only back-up that is on file for Wanda is an outdated one from our reality, Earth-616, and not hers, Earth-199999. This would resurrect Maximoff with memories that take place before the Decimation and lack her own experiences. We will be holding a vote on how to proceed and conferring with the Five.

Although we hate to admit it, we are at a lost. The Avengers have been notified and will be arriving on Krakoa within the next day. We must have answers and a plan of action by then. Please advise with any theories or potential solutions.

A TELEPATHIC MESSAGE FROM THE QUIET COUNCIL OF KRAKOA --

As many of you may already know, there was a tragedy at the Hellfire Gala. In the few days since, the Council has been trying to make sense of this senseless crime. While we have been trying to keep details as private as possible due to security reasons, recent threats of a leak have left us no choice but to divulge what we know.

At approximately 12:05 am, simultaneous with the fireworks celebration, Wanda Maximoff was attacked in the Grove and subsequently murdered. Maximoff had not been originally invited to the Gala but had received a personal invitation from Council Member Magneto. Lehnsherr and Maximoff were alone in the Grove prior to the murder; after being summoned by the White Queen, Lehnsherr was escorted from the Grove by the Stepford Cuckoos. At the time, Maximoff was alive. It is likely that Lehnsherr did not deliver the final blow, but the Council will be looking into it to see if Lehnsherr had any involvement.

In the meantime, we ask that no one panic. Krakoa is still as safe a place as ever. The Quiet Council will be doing everything in its power to look into the situation. All questions will be answered as efficiently as possible.

CLOSING NOTES --

Following Marvel Girl & Cyclops’ rescue mission to Krakoa, all Champions have been returned to Krakoa. With them comes the mutants of Arakko, the two halves finally whole once more. We suffer the loss of Gorgon and Elizabeth Braddock with heavy hearts and will attempt to resurrect the former, despite the scan now being corrupted.

For now, we will welcome the Arakko mutants onto Krakoa and into our world as we find a place for them. The fighting is over. We hope, now, to enter in a new time of peace.

IN REGARDS TO THE X-MEN --

After JEAN GREY/MARVEL GIRL received a telepathic call for help from her son, NATHAN SUMMERS/CABLE, she and SCOTT SUMMERS/CYCLOPS petitioned the Council to send a team to Arakko to try and help our mutant champions. This request was denied. The Council has been firm that there will be no X-Men team on Krakoa, as suggested by Grey and Summers. When they continued to insist it was decided that if they wanted to form one they would not be stopped, but no member of the Council could serve on the team.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: Jean Grey has stepped down from the Summer Faction in favor of the X-Men.

Kate Pryde and Kurt Wagner were advised to not do the same. Grey and Summers plan on leading a rescue team to Arakko to provide aide for the mutants there. Under the cut you can find a partial transcript of the meeting.

The X-Men, it seems, will return.

GREY: We’ve heard from Nathan. He reached out to us from Otherworld. We think badly. Our connection was severed before we could find out everything. But that’s not the whole of it, Professor. Krakoa is... at risk. 

SUMMERS: We are losing. Badly. Unless something unexpected happens, their army is going to be coming through the External Gate -- and under the rules we agreed to -- there’s nothing we can do to stop it.
