A D&D Campaign and a New Commander Deck

First big write up! I wanted to talk about a passion project of mine.

A buddy of mine pitched to me a Magic the Gathering inspired D&D campaign, where we could jump from world to world as Planeswalkers. For non MTG players, it basically means we are playing as multiverse hoppers and can go to differently themed worlds.

We started of w/ Strixhaven: School of Mages. A world based on having a wizard university where different colleges/majors have a different mascot and colors. How familiar I know, but I actually love the concept of picking your major and having competitions w/ other majors, it seemed like a ton of fun!

I went for a Quandrix Student background, which means I am a Math major (how out of character, I know) and am playing a Cleric! I've never gotten to play a full multipart campaign, so I was excited to do so as a cleric! My backstory is that I am from Arcavios, so I have been waiting my whole life to go to the college. I had some kind of accident as a kid where I traveled to a different world (Theros, or Greek Mythology World) and landed at the temple of Kruphix, God of Horizons, which I think would be an Athena-ish god of knowledge equivalent.

This is all great setup! I had my backstory, my deity, my plans, but I wanted to add something a little extra to spice things up: A matching commander deck! This will be in my next post, but, I thought to myself "What if I make a deck where we only add cards from worlds my character has visited! That means that he would grow and gain more insight and see more as he travels, which would be an awesome way to restrict deckbuilding!"

The deck that has come from this is what I'll be writing about in these posts, since I want to look back on these fondly, share my journey, and maybe even inspire someone else someday.
