Last week I had the privilege of visiting the Vertallee Letterpress studio space. The first day I went, I forgot my SD card. Whomp whomp. But Brad (one of the owners) was cool enough to let me come back the next day & take pictures of him & Casey working. One thing I got just by watching them is that their attention to detail is crazy. Plus, everything is printed on a windmill press, so the quality is way up there. I’m actually glad I had the camera mishap the first day, because spending time in the studio with them, listening to NPR, & taking pictures the second time around was nice.

How I believe the hideous "duck face" trend started. A girl was trying to balance a pen on her upper lip. It fell. She got stuck that way. She embraced it. She foolishly embraced it.

First things first, that smile is fake. Moving on.

Just woke up from a ridiculous "nap". Slept too long. BUT I had a dream that I was in this park sitting at a picnic table & Jelisa & her friend Holli walked by. They looked all super fit & stuff with fancy pants workout clothes & snazzy shoes & stuff. They also had yoga mats. They were both laughing really hard over something & Jelisa was holding Holli up because she was laughing so hard. Then I woke up. Random dream of the day brought to you by me.

I need applesawce.

I think I'm going to get some of these rolls of film developed soon.

I'm bad with getting photos to people in a timely manner.

God blessed me this weekend. Wasn't expecting it at all.

I visited the Foxtrot Bravo Alpha design studio today, & first things first--they're amazing. They're the people who are doing all the branding for South by Southwest plus more. Crazy. I am in no way a graphic designer, but it was really cool to see all their ideas & designs for previous SxSW conventions & the one coming up next month. Plus, their studio space is really cool. Had a chill time today.
