Summary: I got inspired by the musical ‘Hamilton’! Especially “The World Was Wide Enough” and “Who lives, Who dies, who tells your story”. Great musical and many connections with the show. Hopefully y’all like this. SPOILERS S3 and S4.

The expedition to take back wall Maria. 

But it also a dangerous expedition…

Two days before the expedition.

Erwin looks up from the paper work from his desk as he heard three knocks. “come in,”

You entered the room, wearing your night gown and robe. He looked up, his eyes soften.

“Erwin, my dear, its late… come back to sleep.” You tiredly rubbed your eyes, trying to focus what your husband was doing.

He sighs and turned his attention away from you. “Darling… you know I can’t. I need to finish before the… expedition” He rubbed his forehead tiredly.

You sighed and started walking behind him. You rubbed his shoulders, you can feel how tensed he is but also relaxed. “Erwin, please… I don’t want to keep seeing you overwork. It’s a bad habit of yours.. you know?” You kept massaging his shoulders. 

He smiled a bit, knowing that your correct. He’s so blessed to have partner that respects his work and who also cared about him. He gabbed your left hand and gently starting rubbing it. Then he stood up from his chair and tuned to look at you. Your arms fall beside your hips.

His big figure looming over you, but yet, you felt protected by him.

Erwin suddenly pulls you in for a kiss. You were surprise with the sudden move, but quickly relaxed, melting into the kiss. It lasted for a good while until he pulled away. He pushes a strand of a hair behind your ear, you looked up and saw he was tearing up. 

You quickly got worried, “Erwin, are you ok?” Your eyebrows furrowed.

He quickly blinks as tear fell. And smiled at the same time, “Yeah, I’m more than ok…. I’m just grateful that I’m fulfilling my dreams with you…”

You starting tearing up as well, you wiped your tears as they were coming down. Looked down with a sad smile, knowing that this might last night for the both of you. You took hand only hand and placed it to your right cheek. He carefully cherished. 

“Please come back to sleep with me…” You desperately asked.

He sighs in defeat, then smiles. “How can I say no to you my love. Let me just… finish this letter really quick, give me like five minutes”.

“Fine, only five minutes. And if you’re not in bed with me, I’ll drag you by the ear” You jokingly said.

he chuckles softly, “I promise ill be there”, he watches you walk towards to door and opened it.

“You better” 

You finally closed it. 

Within those five minutes, Erwin wrote his last letter to his partner…

When Erwin finally comes back to your room, he saw you fully knocked out. He can hear you softly snoring. He smiles and changes into his pjs.

He gets in the bed pulls the cover the both of you and pulls you close from behind.

He sleeps in peace for once.

-The expedition-

Erwin explains to Levi what the plans were. Before that, both of you got into an argument. He forcibly put you to fight with Jean, Connie, Sasha, Mikasa, Armin, and Eren. 

He just wanted to keep you safe.

He looks at the beat titan and back to Levi. He sighs, “Levi… please make one more promise for me”

“… What is it?” Levi glared at him. 

“….. please give this letter to y/n, and please protect her.” He looks at Levi.

Levis eyes widened a bit. He grabs the letter and puts it in his pocket. “…. I promise…”

In the next few minutes, it was the last moments for Erwin, he knew it was time. 

 “BECAUSE MY SOLDIERS DO NOT BUCKLE OR YIELD WHEN FACED WITH THE CRUELITY OF THIS WORLD”

“MY SOLDIERS PUSH FORWARD”

“MY SOLDIERS SCREAM OUT”

You felt cold breeze behind your back, your turned worried. ‘Please Erwin… stay alive’

-Moments later-

When seeing Armin burned, it was truly a horrifying thing to see. You felt bad for Eren and Mikasa. The only thing you can do is look down and pay your respects. Suddenly Levi comes in, you look up to see. You looked into his eyes, trying to figure out if Erwin is alive or not. He ignored you…

You guys were diseccione about the titan serum and Armin. It was pretty clear that-

You hear someone grunting in pain, you look into your left and your eyes widened. You see flock but carrying…

 “Captain…. Levi… I finally found you. Commander Erwin is badly wounded. His stomach is gouged… and his organs are demolished…”

Your ear started to ring

It can’t be…

It can’t….

You fell onto to your knees. 

it felt like time froze.

You were shaken when Hanje grabbed your shoulders and told you to come with them.

Armin s emerges from his titans form. 

You sat there…

In pain

“He’s already dead…” 

You turned to look at them and started walking towards Erwins corpse.

You sat beside Erwin. Both Levi and Hanje looked at each other, knowing to give both of you space.

When they both left, you finally broke it. Tears started to fall. Your body shook. And then the cries.

Hange and Levi cringed at your cries. Both of them knew you were hurt.

“WHY ERWIN!!! WE MADE PROMISED!!!! WHYY??!!”

A days later

You were sitting at Erwins office, packing his stuff was hard as you kept crying, remembering the memories with him. You looked up and Levi opening the door. 

His eyes softly landed on you

He walks towards you and hands you the letter.

He leaves with out saying a word to you and you quickly open it…

“My Dearest [Reader],

As the quill dances across this parchment, I find myself immersed in the bittersweet task of bidding you farewell. The time has come for me to face the uncertainties that lie ahead, but before I embark on this journey, I must pour my heart out to you.

After Erwins passing, it took a toll on you.

You’ve became distance, cold, and angered. By time, you started a new reason why to live. To keep pushing. 

The another conflict came up

To kill Eren…

Both of you and Levi were injured when Zeke pulled the thunder spear.

It was a bit challenged to move and kill the past titans. 

As it came by the end, you saw Levi sitting agaisnt a rock, saluting…

“Levi?”

Levi kept his stare in front of him as a tear fell down.

You turned to see all of your fallen friends…

And Erwin….

Your eyebrows furrowed as you started tearing up. Erwin moves his gaze to you and softly smiles.

“Oh Erwin…” Tears started falling down, as you saluted back.

Another 3 years later

After the rumbling, you moved to Marley to pursue what you always wanted to do…

It was tell the story of everyone’s…

And to even tell his story…

“The Scouts returned, weary but victorious, their mission a testament to the courage and leadership exemplified by Commander Erwin Smith. The echoes of that expedition lingered in the hearts of the Scouts, a chapter in the ongoing saga of humanity's struggle for freedom.”

You finished telling the story, your audience were amazed. It was obviously children who were listening. They then proceeded to ask many questions of Erwin. But one stood out,

“If Erwin were to still be alive, what do you think he could’ve done”One kid asked

It caught you by surprise. “He could’ve a lot of things actually… I’m not sure of what, but I just know he would’ve done so much more” You answered thoughtfully.

“Ok kids! Thats it for today! Now time to go get lunch” You smiled at them.

You hear Levi approaching with his wheelchair.

“I’m surprised you actually did it…”

“Did what? Opened up an orphanage?’ You looked down at him.

“No, telling his story” He looks at you.

You smiled, “I had to stop wasting time on tears and actually get things done. The things he would’ve want to be accomplished”. 

Levi took his gaze away from to pay attention to the nice view of the sky.

“I agree on what you said, all of those fallen soldiers, they could’ve done so much… same goes for Erwin.” Levi spoked

“What if my story doesn’t get told Levi. And when time is up, have I done enough? Well they tell my story?” You asked

He sighs and tuned to look up at you. “Dont worry, you have plenty of years to accomplish things and to tell YOUR story. Both of yours guys story”.

You smiled and looked up.

‘Oh i can’t wait to see you again, it’s only matter of time’

40 years later

“Don’t mama, we’ll keeping telling your story” Your daugther reassures you.

You smiled and took you final breath.

You open your eyes, its your younger self.

In front in a nice beautiful scenery of a nice spring day. The birds chirping, the flowers blooming, the wind blowing. You take a deep breath in and let it all out.

You had your eyes closed for a good 6 secs until-

“Hey”

You fluttered your eyes open to see Erwin besides you.

You turned your head to look at him.

He still looks the same

“Hey handsome” You replied 

He finally turned his gaze to you. He smiles. 

“I’m glad you took your time my dear” He walked towards you and put his forehead against yours. 

“I had to, it was the only way to tell stories. Especially OUR story”. You smiled

“im glad you’re here. My love” Erwin whispers the last part and kisses you.

Strange…. (Reiner Braun x Reader)

Reiner angst story

Summary: Reiner falls in love with reader, when he wasn’t supposed to. He felt like a sin, but it felt good. Once thing turned bad, the reader is left heartbroken. 4 years later…

Reiner felt bad for doing this, he knew the consequences of falling in love with the enemy from the other side. Annie and Berthdolt warned him about it. But as usual, he didn’t listen to them. 

He didn’t want keep hearing the truth.

With that, Reiner fell in love with you, the moment he laid eyes on you. 

He then got to know more about you. 

Your mother and little sister died during the fall of wall Maria. You were devastated when you witness their death, and especially when you couldn’t do anything. With that, it only left you and your father. Which, thankfully he survived. 

Your father was terrified when you told him you wanted to join the scouts. But he understood your reasonings. Him dropping you off the campsite, watching his little girl growing up to be a strong woman.

Once you told Reiner your story about that day and the reason why you joined, he tensed up. He was mostly silent.

He was thinking how sorry he was, but yet…. There was no other choice for him.

As the years goes by, the more you guys got closer. 

Him consulting you with griefs of the fallen soldiers. Also hiding the fact how much he wanted to confess what he was really there for…

What hurt you the most the night when he confessed his love to you.

That night was night to remember.

It was the night after Annie came out as her female titan form.

He secretly gave you a note, telling you to meet him in the back of the barracks. 

You saw him sitting on the grass, looking up on the stars.

He turned around when he heard your footsteps approaching. He got up and opened his arms to you.

You smiled softly and walked towards him.

He hugged you softly and carefully since he was tall and big. 

He noticed that you were shaking. So he pulled apart and saw you were crying.

“Hey hey, whats going?” He lifted your chin up, he saw tears flowing down from your eyes as you had a look of sadness.

it took you a good while to look up. You took a deep breath and started explaining, “I’m just so tired of seeing so many… people… die….because of this war. I feel like we can’t do anything for it to stop. And… I don’t want to lose anyone…..especially you..Reiner” You spoke softly. 

He tensed once again, hearing your confession about this whole expedition and the war. He couldn’t bring himself to tell you…. He hated himself for that. But instead, he did say,

“I know what you’re going through… dont worry… and dont worry about me Y/n. You know this, and ill keep saying this. I’ll protect you from anything. You are my everything, and ever since I laid eyes on you, I just know something inside of me told me to care, protect, and love you. I just want you to know that no matter what happens, please know that I love you…” His eyebrows furrowed while speaking. His tone was deep, calming, and reassuring to hear.

Your tears kept coming in when you heard his confession. It felt a relief knowing there was someone supporting you.

The both of you leaned towards at each other, your nose touching his. “Is this ok?” He ask for reassurances.

You nodded. Both of you closed your eyes and leaned in. You felt his soft lips on on your lips.

As said, it was a night to remember.

When Reiner and bertholdt, you saw the ‘true’ Reiner. You felt betrayed by him, then you asked yourself, was this all an act. Was your love towards even real? Did you even love me…

As the months went by, you went into depression. You questioned so many things that you wanted answers for. 

4 years later,

After the whole invasion of both Marley and Eldia. Then the rumbling, you had to face and work with Reiner in order to stop Eren. You couldn’t even look at him, not even the slightest. 

Armin eventually told Reiner how after the whole him betraying thing had took a toll on you. You became more protective of yourself. He also found out that your father died from an illness that he was fighting for pretty long time. He felt sorry for you, so sorry. He wanted to go up to you and say so many things, like in the past.

When it was the night where Hange cook stew for the group. Yelena spilled mostly everything what she knew of everyone. 

“And here we have the stone cold Y/n, you came from a beautiful family. Sad how they’re not here anymore. It’s like your hiding how truly weak and wrecked you are to fall in love with a enemy-“ Yelena cocky attitude gets caught off from Reiner.

“Shut up Yelena. Nobody here wants you to talk.” He defended you, or at least tried.

You finally looked at him surprised,. He took noticed but you quickly looked down at your stew.  He sighed in defeat.

“Ah, then we have Reiner Braun. I don’t know why you would want to fall in love with someone who you knew you killed their family…” She goes on by spilling the Marco incident. 

That night was a disaster. 

But Reiner still wanted to talk you…

When you guys were about to leave the air craft, he grabbed your shoulder. You turned to see who it was, but quickly glared at him. 

He sighs in defeat, “Can I please talk to you?”. He desperately ask.

You tensed up by hearing those word but quickly relaxed them and the nodded your head.

You turned around to hear what he needed to say. 

“Y/n…. I’m so so sorry…for the pain I caused you…I want you to know that it was never an act. It was all real… my love was real… I still care about you…. I still want to be the one to hold you and to protect. And please take your time…. And I’ll understand if you don’t want to talk to me ever again. I just… wanted to let you know… I love you…” 

He was crying while he poured out his feeling. You finally saw him, what he truly was. You lifted your hands to wipe his tears. 

He looked at you in a surprise.

“We’ll see after this whole thing Reiner….. I stilled had hope for this to come back…” You finally said as your lips quivered and eyes tearing up. You opened your arms to welcome him a hug.

He accepted and hugged you. With hat hug, it felt a huge relief for the both of you. You left him kiss the top of your head. You guys held on to each other until it was time to depart.

Once the while rumbling ended. Reiner ran to see you struggling to walk since you go back from turning into a titan. You a huge weight onto to you, and then relaxed. You started crying hard, saying “I tough I wasn’t gonna make it” or “I was worried about you”. He turned you around and kissed you so deeply and hard. You kissed back.

That kiss meant everything for the both of you…

After the rumbling, Reiner and you found a small place for the both you. Two years later, he finally proposed. Having Mikasa as your maid of honor, since she has been there for you. Even after Eren death. And Reiner made Jean the man of honor. And then Levi walked you down the aisle with his cane. It was beautiful. Then 3 years later, finally had a kid of your own. 

With that, both of you and Reiner couldn’t be happier than ever.

The Night We Met…. (Jean Kirstein x Reader)

SPOILERS FOR THE LAST EPISODE!!! ANGST! DEATH MENTIONED.Hey y’all, this is my first time writing in tumblr! Hopefully y’all like this!!! And please give any tips and ideas! Also, is femreader (she/her pronouns) Also this is inspired by “The NIght We Met” by Lord Huron.

The Rumbling…

Everyone was scared, terrified, hopeless, even…. broken.

Y/n has been part of the scouts going way back, since the incident of wall Maria. But even before, she knew mostly everyone in her group, Connie, Sasha, and Jean…

Reason why she knew them was because it was the first day of training and she had no partner. So, Shadis instead put her with Jean.

He was fumbling with his words but also being cocky as well. Underestimating you.

So when it was time to tackle each other, he was caught be surprise how you brought him down in the matter of seconds.

He looked up in pain but fought it over with a cockily smile, “What’s your name again?”

“None of your business you horse” You glared at him and left him there.

“HEY!!! ARENT YOU GOING TO HELP?!”

With that small introduction, it has been you, Jean, Sasha, and Connie. The four of you were the most annoying but yet strongest group.

4 years later, it has the toughest but yet, the best years of your life and Jeans.

Ever since the battle with Reiner, Bertholdt, and Zeke, you two have been getting closer than ever.

Him being more protective over you, he wanted to keep you safe, and made a promise to Marco to look out for you since the two of you were close as well.

During the first trip to Marley, it was crazy for you. You guys stayed there for about for bit while the others had to get things done before the battle. You and Jean decided to sneak out to a bar.

He was practically dragging you to the bar, the both of you laughing and almost out of breath.

He opens the door for you, “Well thank you, you good sir” You said

“No problem, my lady” He jokling replied.

You guys were there for a good while, just drinking and talking while there was slow music in background. That’s when the bartender announced there was only 10 minutes left.

Jean placed his cup down and looked at you. He couldn’t stop looking at you, how you looked so beautiful. And then he asked, “Hey, wanna dance?”, he held his hand to you.

You looked at him in a surprised but then relayed and nodded. You took his hand and he led you to the middle of room.

You guys both swayed to the slow music, while you had your head in his chest and he had his hand placed in the back of your waist. You can hear his heart race a bit, but took a deep breath and relaxed into him and closed your eyes.

In that moment, it felt like it was only you and him. And no one else.

“Hey Y/n…” Jean said suddenly,

You looked up, “Yeah?”

He looked down at you, then took another deep breath. “I’m afraid..”

“Afraid of what?” You took your head off from his chest, and looked at his eyes.

There’s a moment of silence, of only both of you looking at each other. “I’m afraid of losing you…”

A worried bit you asked, “There’s nothing to be afraid of Jean, I’m right here, with you.”

“ I know, but I’m afraid that im going to lose you , I promised Marco to look over you. To be more protective, but there was so much more into that promise. I want to keep safe, warm…. Loved” He spoke softly.

“Jean…”

“I know, it sounds crazy, but every since that day we met, I just knew that you were the one. You brought light to me when I was going through. You, you were the one to bring a smile and cared for me. And I want to do that you, I want to be there for you, I want to hold you and tell you everything is alright. I want a future with you….. I love you Y/n, ” Jean looked at you with gentle and soft expression.

You didn’t have words to say, you were speechless.

He took noticed and then sighed, “look, im sor-“ He got caught off by you kissing him on the lips. He kissed you back.

The kiss lasted for a good while until you pulled away and looked at him, “I love you to Jean… Ive been waiting for this” You smiled

He chuckled, “Same here….”

Jean couldn’t focus,

The rumbling has ended, but he was desperately trying to look for you.

You guys parted away, since it was a it easier to battle.

But he was worried, until he heard his name being called.

“JEAN!!! COME HERE, RIGHT NOW!!!” He heard Connie yell.

He hurriedly ran to him and then he saw the most terrifying thing he ever imagined.

A blade from the ODM gear struck you through. Connie was holding your head for support, he was crying.

First Marco, secondly Sasha, and then you…

Jean felt like he couldn’t move, until you opened your eyes and saw him.

“Jean…” You weakly said and tried to reach out for him. He hurriedly got down , Connie lifted your head to jeans lap.

“Hey beautiful…” He tearfully said,

“Jean… I’m sorry…”

“Hey, don’t say sorry, my love. You did your best… You know I love you right?”

You looked at him and smiled. “Yeah… I love you too Jean….. I dont want to go Jean” You were afraid to leave, to leave Jean.

“Hey, hey…. I’m going to be alright, you did your best my love”. Jean tears started to fall.

You smiled once more, “Hey Jean… please give me one more kiss..”

He gladly does, knowing it was going to be your final moment.

You felt his lips on yours, you raise your hand to touch his jaw. Suddenly, you get all the memories you had with him. When you guys first met, to grieving over Marcos death, to goofing around with Connie and Sasha, to him confessing his love to you. You smiled through the kiss. Taking your final breath.

Jean felt your body and hand go in limp.

He broke away from the kiss to look at you, how peacefully you looked. He pushed your hair behind your ear.

His body shook, and then started to cry more.

His cries can be heard from a good distance.

Connie stood in shock, his best friend has died.

And then a mist appeared. Both Jean and Connie looked up, saw you and Sasha waving at them. Smiling.

Then disappeared,

Jean can know live with that fact that you’re going to be ok.

“Please take me back to the night we met”
