OHHH these are good.

mask: Does your OC wear a mask, literally or figuratively? What goes on beneath it? Is there anyone in their life who gets to see who they are under the mask?

Well, Coda is always in a form that's not really his true body so in a sense, yeah! They're a weird fucked up beast under it. I think the only one who's seen him like that has been Escher by accident but otherwise they haven't willingly revealed it to anyone. In terms of figuratively woah boy they are putting on like 10 fronts. They're doing a constant balancing act to appear palatable and personable while still being realistically vulnerable. They're kind of unpleasant under all that- judgmental, misanthropic, and self-serving, and haven't really opened up about that to anyone, at least not all the way. Zollisk's gotten bits of it, but not the full scope.

future: What's the worst possible future for your OC? Are they taking steps to avoid that outcome? Are they even aware it's a possibility?

Well, right now it's ending up trapped back in Elysium as the Lady's consort. And they are closer than they have been in a while to that!!! A lot of it is out of their control, but they're doing their god-damn best to protect themself. Their reveal of what they did to escape Elysium the first time was more tactical than anything, actually, since they're a) preventing Lady from using information against them b) building a degree of sympathy w the group by going "ohhh i feel so bad about doing all that i was basically forced to" so if they encounter any of their other past misdeeds, they'll hopefully keep that narrative about 'em in mind.

I think an extra bad fate would be ending up as the Dark Lord of Elysium. They'd be in their own special eternal hell without any sort of support system. yipee!!

MMM. I think for them it's between freedom and redemption. They want to live free from guilt and control, somewhere they feel safe and secure. They're open with it, on some level, since I think that's a pretty normal desire, but not exactly the depth of it? Ideally anyone who's ever hurt them would be dead and gone, and they'd be magically healed of all the trauma that ever happened to them but that's. not likely. As is being redeemed by the celestial plane because :^) that ain't happening. They would do anything to get that tho!! Literally anything!! They've done so many horrible things, what's another one.

(Andrea's answers may not be quite as detailed since I want some stuff to be revealed in game+ not all players use tumblr so I don't want like a weird distribution of information asdfasdf)

Andrea handles loneliness pretty well, actually. She has a hard time really connecting with people beyond a base level, since she's pretty aloof, so she's gotten used to her own company. The past few years have definitely been the loneliest of her life, since she can't afford to make a lot of connections due to. You Know. But also she is now no longer completely alone!!! Having a devil live in your heart/head full time sort of prevents that. She's definitely most vulnerable on her own, since she can't afford weakness on the job. She has. so much stuff repressed.

desire: What's one thing your OC wants more than anything in the world? Are they open with that desire? Why or why not? What would they do to fulfill it?

Andrea doesn't really let herself want things. She's in a bit of an odd situation w her conditional immortality, so she's kinda. prevented from doing most normal human Things like going to college/having relationships/etc, since they're very likely to get caught in the crossfire of her existence. There are some things she wants, that she thinks she doesn't, but that's a surprise tool to help us later.

Peach- How do they show their kindness? How kind are they truly?

Man this is weird, 'cause Coda sort of has that 'nice but not good' thing going on. They aren't cruel or sadistic (anymore) most of the time, but a lot of their niceties are just obligatory by social standards, rather than actual acts of benevolence. Deep down they wanna do genuine good but don't know where to start. When they are honest about their kindness, it's sort of awkward and clumsy. They don't know where to start with that sort of vulnerability, but it's earnest when they mean it.

Mango- What colours best represent them and why? Does this differ from their favourites?

Hm, I think any sort of glaring, eye searing gold/metallic color represents them well. Some sort of sheen you'd associated with cheap jewlery made to look fancy, bc of all the smoke and mirrors they put up. I think they genuinely like softer, darker shades- blacks, greys, etc- bc it's easier on the eyes.

Hot Pepper- Who would your OC declare their sworn enemy if they could meet them? Besides Strahd?? lol. Part of me wants to say whatever clown they come upon next bc I have to commit to the bit, but like. maybe any sort of person that relishes in suffering or is bonafide evil. He's honestly not that hateful, but when someone gets on his bad side it's DEATH.

Eggplant- How are they used by others? How easily are they tricked into this?

OOO. Man. He definitely has a history of being taken advantage of for his child-like naivety. Both major 'villains' in our campaigns (strahd n the dark powers (sort of)) have done that. But nowadays he is intentionally trying not to do that, while balancing being a trusting, kind person. It wouldn't be too difficult to take advantage of it, but he is very clear that if you Betray His Trust you go on the shit list.

Watermelon- What will your OC take to the grave?

For Akeru mmm. I think the funny answer is that this isn't her natural hair/eye color, because in any 'non-anime-colors' setting it's like 'no shit you don't have red hair and orange eyes' but she would insist she has like alexandria's genesis too c'mon. But a more serious one is her childhood. She grew up in a pretty unremarkable, quiet environment that she views as horribly boring, on top of like. the actual severe neglect she suffered, and anyone knowing that would kill the image she's curated of popping out of the ground horrible and fully grown

Hm, Coda is most definitely susceptible to pspsppsing, is the thing and they would probably fall for a trap like that out of like. courtesy. Music's a big comfort to them, so if they're able to , they winddown with it. They also try and get somewhere where they're alone, they have a hard time settling down when there's a lot of people around.

Hmm, I think he tries normal human solutions for like, five minutes, before he just sort of gives up and clambers through a window? or tries to, he doesn't really have the strength to muscle himself in.

I think the Sunsword is a definite one. Along with that, probably a bunch of trinkets/ingredient type things he has on him. Then his journal, which he used to communicate before he got telepathy and also used as a diary, sort of. Probably used to make you feel real bad for killing him.

For Coda, you'd definitely get their Viol since its sort of their signature weapon, plus some sheet music for it. Then their little hairclip, since its a Cool accessory, which gives you the ability to change shape/gives some sort of charisma buff. For misc stuff, mainly golden, shiny treasure stuff.

UHHH hm see Pageturn is mainly in a fantasy setting, so I'm not sure what sort of lyrics he'd associate with. But, I'm gonna cheat and say he definitely has the feeling of those 'I Want' songs you get in disney movies and musicals, probably something like 'I'm Still Here' from Treasure Planet. PLEASE don't get Coda started on his music taste. They've been around for long enough to have seen a bunch of music and they flock towards the weirdest genres. You invite them to your house and ask them what music they like and they produce a CD from somewhere and go 'haha I Vibe With This one :)" and it's like. Persian War Metal-Free Jazz Fusion and it somehow doesn't have any actual lyrics but they keep insisting that they REALLY identify with it. I'm also gonna say that I associate them with Imposter Syndrome by Sidney Gish a lot! Particularly "For human grossly underqualified/For canine grossly overqualified", they've got issues abt identity and humanity, baby.

Oh god, Nightingale probably has some sort of elaborate night time ritual. Part of it's definitely some sort of uhh,,, 'spiritual business', but he's also probably got a good grip on Ideal sleeping conditions (blanket material, temperature, number of pillows, etc). On that note, he usually has a fucking Mech of pillows around him when he sleeps, like, he's ENTOMBED in them
