10: what is the song i have to listen to so i could know you better?

To really know G, the side of me no one really gets to see.. [exhales heavily while he speaks] Well, it’s a song by a Christian rock group. It’s called Hurt by Thousand Foot Krutch. It’s got such contrast points in the song, from dark and hard to soft and light, and I think that really encompasses what I go through constantly. These amazing high points that are always brought down by an internal fight. It hurts. [shrugs]

11: do you prefer being outside when its sunny or when its dark?

“ They’re not called lunatics for nothing “

Definitely when it’s dark. I’m a big night owl. [cracks a smile] Anyone close to me know I finally wake up at night. Even if I don’t go out, I’m up and about, working on something. But when I do go out, the night is the right time for manics and mayhem.

28: picture yourself at ease. now describe what exactly did you picture - with who you are? where? what exactly put you at ease?

“ Oh that’s something.. Haven’t been at ease in quite some time ”

[smiles softly as his thought comes to him, nods when he’s ready to talk about it] I saw my mom and brother. We’re at home-- our old house, in Oakland. Melissa’s there too. We’re all grown up now. We’re just sitting around the living room, talking, laughing. [goes quiet and smile fades away] I think Melissa being there.. helps. Everyone is just so happy. No more hurt. That’s what I want. Yeah.
