Every other instance of firebending assisted flight in both LOK and ATLA are with firebending from the feet. But Mako is so fucking powerful he can just LAUNCH himself into the air with his fucking arms. What the actual fuck.

Some people didn't enjoy the first season bc they claimed it tried to be too political and failed. Which is the opposite problem of book 4 that is not political enough.

you know what would’ve been nice to see in book 4?

if they had made wu actually be a genuine political foil for kuvira and mako actually support him.

In my hc Wu tutors local kids and one day the one starts coming over more and more and finally just stays there with two dads 😂

I like to imagine that if Mako and Wu ever did have a kid it would be more of a “we found this orphan” situation. The best dynamic I can imagine for them being parents is being middle aged and finding some teen kid (maybe has trust+abandonment issues) and they take them in but then they can’t give the kid to some other family bc the kid trusts them (plus it would worsen the abandonment issues). I think it would be sweet. And then Mako and Wu would still be able to get time to themselves as well as family time that doesn’t consist of being worried you’ll make the toddler cry the whole time. (Also rq, as someone with nine younger siblings (don’t ask) I know that teens and preteens are still a handful, but in a very different way than infants-preteens).

I’m still not saying I think they would have a kid, but if they did, that’s the best/sweetest way I could imagine it. But ofc I’m always a sucker for found family so I’m probably bias.

I love this!! I mean I go back and forth on them having kids but I 100 percent agree that they'd be adopting an older kid or kids!!

I personally lean toward them adopting a set of siblings just because I think Mako would have a lot of Feelings about siblings. Maybe it's a situation where the siblings could be separated and Mako's like absolutely not we will be taking all of them in thank you very much.

I also agree Mako and Wu would be much older. Likely forty-ish. I also hc that Opal and Bolin just like. have a bunch of kids and so Mako and Wu's kids by the time they adopted would be close in age to Opal and Bolin's kids so that could be interesting
