RAINBOW CHASERS

Chasing a rainbow  was something I wanted to do for a really long time. Finding a pot of gold at the end was my kind of thing. I was fortunate enough to get this opportunity last week. This is how it actually went.....

It was a pretty good afternoon and it was cool and rainy. Suddenly I saw the most magical rainbow in the whole entire world. I knew at that moment that this rainbow would be the one to chase. I got on my bicycle and I rode off swiftly.

The rainbow led me through the woods where, to my greatest surprise stood a leprechaun. Well, until that day I had always thought that leprechauns only live in Ireland. I was mistaken. I bent down toward the leprechaun and asked him politely "Are there any rainbows around here mister? " and he screamed right in my face his reply "NO! YOU PESKY HUMANS NEED TO KEEP YOU HANDS OFF OUR RAINBOWS!". I blinked and I left without a word.

Cycling along, I ran into a pack of unbelievably PINK wolves. And all of them were talking to each other in English! Slightly creeped out, I went on. The further I went the weird the animals became...If I’m not mistaken, I saw 3 yellow elephants, a blue pig, and a green and purple zebra... I don’t even live where elephants and zebras are around!

All of a sudden the forest opened up into a clearing. It was unlike any clearing I had ever seen in my life. Everything was pink and glittery and the end of the rainbow was exactly in that spot. I looked around and I saw the most massive pot of gold. It was bigger than I ever imagined. I ran toward it touched the cool and smooth surface of the pot. Suddenly the ground opened up and I fell down into a pile of something mushy.

I opened my eyes and I saw that I had fallen into a pile of something rainbow colors swirled all over it. Just then a horse in the prettiest shade of purple trotted over to me. I gasped. It was a unicorn. The majestic creature looked down at me with a pitied expression. "Oh, I see you've fallen into our sewers. Let’s go get you cleaned up." she said and with her magic carried me away.

So this is the reason why I am writing this story sitting on a cloud along with my unicorn friends...

Wings Of Fire, The Jade Winglet As Humans Fanfic

Moonwatcher stared blankly out of the window of her school bus. It was the first day of school and Moon’s anxiety wasn't making anything easier. Her mind was full of thoughts such as “Will they like me?” and “Will I ever get a friend?”. The school bus lurched to a stop and moon hit her head on the seat in front of her. “Ow!” she exclaimed. She looked down the aisle and a a bright bouncy girl hopped onto the bus. Her frizzy and curly hair was dyed in different colors and she was wearing a T-shirt that was so bright that it hurt your eyes to look it. The bright girl looked around and sat down next to moon. “Hi!” said the girl. “Im Kinkajou. What's your name?” she asked. “Im Moonwatcher” . “Nice to meet you! Which grade are you in? I'm in seventh grade! I'm so happy and i'm so excited!”. Everything this girl said seemed to end in exclamation points. “Me too.”   “Oh! Which homeroom are you in? I'm in Jade.” “So am I!” Moon exclaimed, relieved to have a person she knew in homeroom. Finding a spot to sit was a first-day-of-school chore that Moon hated. “Can I see your schedule?” “Sure.” Kinkajou and Moon compared schedules and talked a little bit about things they were looking forward to. Kinkajou was excited about all the new people she could meet , cheerleading, choir and band. Moon, on the other hand , was excited about getting to go to the high school for math classes (she was in the advanced program), orchestra and robotics and programming class.By the time they reached school, Moon could feel the happiness of friendship. Even though Moon had gone to the orientation, the middle school seemed even bigger and imposing when there were students milling around the campus. Moon’s heart began to beat faster and her head began to fill with worry. She wanted to turn around and run home. Butterflies fluttered in her stomach. Actually, it felt like there was a herd of elephants rampaging around in there somewhere. Moon and Kinkajou turned a few corners and went up a flight of stairs(trusting Kinkajou’s navigation skills) and instead of their jade homeroom, wound up in a corridor with the orchestra training classrooms. “Um, Kinkajou, I don’t think this is our class…” Moon trailed off. Then she opened her backpack and pulled out a makeshift map. “I made this during orientation but I’m not sure if this is right.” Moon said. “Why didn’t you tell me this before?’ said Kinkajou “Well, I trusted your navigation skills.” “Oh. let's hurry before we get late” “Yikes. Let's go” Together, Moon and Kinkajou puzzled over the map and found their way to the classroom just on time. They chose a good spot to sit in near the window and they were assigned lockers. “Hello everybody. I’m Ms.Sunny, your homeroom teacher. In this classroom, you will have your homeroom, flexi and english language arts classes. I hope this year will be a fun and productive one for all of you.“ the teacher talked about how she expected discipline from all the students and went over the supply list and the dress codes. Moon was attentively paying attention while Kinkajou zoned out after a few minutes.   Soon, everybody began to head to their first class. Moon had science and kinkajou had math so they walked off in separate directions.                                            ******************* Their science teacher was Mr.Clay. he organized the class into groups of four. In her group were 2 boys and one other girl.  The girl’s name was Carnelian and her hair was the brightest shade of orangey-red Moon had ever seen. She seemed sullen and cranky. There was Winter, the boy whose hair was so blonde, it looked white. He had a  I’m-so-pissed expression on his face. Well, she would have to deal with all the grumpy kids this year. Qibli, the other boy, seemed to be more good natured one and he smiled at everyone. He had black hair and caramel colored skin that clashed horribly with the dark yellow shirt he was wearing. That day, they started a unit about space(Moons’s favorite topic). They also had a test coming up the following week. The day quickly sped along and before Moon noticed it, it was lunch. Moon and Kinkajou sat in a table with Carnelian, Winter, Qibli, and 2 other boys named Turtle and Umber (because there wasn’t enough tabled for everyone to sit separately). Kinkajou and Qibli went on and on, trying to keep the conversation going. Moon picked at the sushi she ordered. Kinkajou reached over and picked one up. “Is this sushi vegetarian?”she asked. Moon nodded. Kinkajou took a tiny bite. “Umm, you're not supposed to eat it that way.” “Oh. then how?” “You need to plop the whole thing in your mouth so that you  get all the flavors in the sushi.” “Okay!”

By the end of the day, moon had made lots of new friends. She slowly walked over to the dormitory and collected her luggage. She took the elevator to the 4th floor where her dorm room would be. She walked down the corridor and opened the door using her special key. To her surprise, inside were kinkajou and carnelian waiting eagerly for her. “Hi guys!” she said. Moon sat on one of the three beds in the room and beamed at her friends. “Nice dorm, isn’t it?” said Carnelian. Moon nodded. The room was spacious, with big windows, offering beautiful views of the mountain and the waterfall near the school. Each girl was given her own corner with a bed, bookshelf and a cupboard. They even had their own private bathrooms!   Together, the three girls organized (Kinkajou decorated) the room. For dinner, they had room service while they did their homework. Then, they planned outfits for the next day(Carnelian insisted) and finally they all went to bed.

Tips for School

Here are a few tips for school that I wrote myself. enjoy😀😀!

When tensed, draw.

       drawing and coloring always helps me calm down after a very long and stressful day. I personally like to doodle but you can draw anything else. even scribbling wildly makes me feel better too 😉.I also like to untie knots. I like to keep a simple black ribbon, a sketchbook and some good colored pens in my backpack all the time.😎

when you feel frustrated😖...

      yeah, I do feel frustrated a lot. especially when I realize I have a lot of work left to do. I do like letting go by screaming (you don't make much noise if you scream super high pitched...). Its just a way to let your emotions go.you also could try beating up your pillow or talking to someone else who would understand your problems.😉

distractions

      anyway, if you are in middle school, you may tend to have a smartphone. usually , the average parent may think it is distracting. If you are addicted to using your phone way too much, I recommend you to use an app that locks all the distracting applications for a certain amount of time. this totally helps during examinations and other times you need to be working hard.

note taking

      well, I think that taking notes during classes actually helps a lot. It forces you to pay attention during class and it is just an easy way to prepare extra study material. I personally don't take notes in class because all my teachers just read the information in the textbook out to us😕.

nail biting💅

nail biting is a common habit among many people. well, here's a way to stop it. if your school allows nail polish, wear some glittery and gritty polish. that way, when you put your finger in your mouth, your teeth will feel something gritty and you can catch yourself before another nail disappears.

finding time for study and play.

      it is important to study before finals but it is also important to take regular breaks. I recommend a 25 minute study session followed by a 5 minute break. when you are done, you can take a 30 minute break before revising again.
