Jesus on abortion

I am not sure that Jesus himself said anything about abortion. The Bible does talk about the issue of killing a foetus, or the value of it. Not only is abortion by various means permitted, it is also demanded and often forced on the woman, another kind of anti-choice.

And yet for some reason, Operation Save America says that "We believe that Jesus Christ is the only answer to the abortion holocaust. It is upon our active repentance in the streets of our cities that the Gospel is visibly lived out." Jesus said nothing about abortion as far as I can tell. And God is not exactly the person you want to ask for advice regarding abortion. Or infanticide.

The problem I have is Christians who cherrypick and quotemine the Bible, then freely interpret it to fit their own views. The Bible is not a science book, and even if it was, it would be extremely outdated anyway. So why do you cling to it as the truth, Christians?

Cracked has a new article up titled 6 Pro-Gay Marriage Arguments for Fighting With Crazy People, which is pretty funny and provides you with arguments against some of the craziest "arguments" against marriage equality.

Of course,there will always be crazy people who don't think they're crazy, and bigots who believe their bigoted views are just as valid as the... nonbigoted ones. Here is a post by "Observor":

Good idea, numbnut. Let us see some good comedy based around vile views. Because when you have declared that you are a bigot, we can all have a good laugh reading your jokes about why you're against equality. Seriously, when your views are like that, do you really think people will think you're a good person?
