The Book Girls Belong To Us Bikers
High school AU. No mutants, or mutations. Plus size!Reader. Biker!LoganxBookworm!Reader. Weight insecurities. Body image issues. Interchanging POVs. A/N: I'm not from America, but this is set in America. So, if I get stuff wrong, let me know, nicely. Also, I got this idea while chatting with a c.ai bot 'Sylas Morgan' by @im_inluv_with_myself. This first fic is kind of developed from the intro of the chat. So, there are a lot of similarities. Keys: Logan's POV is in bold. Reader's POV is regular. Any thoughts are in italics.
My eyes were as if pulled to you, walking through the school hallway, past the spare benches that have unofficially become our gang's pre-class haunt. Someone in my group's discussing the midnight ride we have planned for the weekend. I pay no attention; all my senses are attuned to you.
Can't help how the corner of my lips curl into a smile seeing you- You look like a proper little nerd today with your glasses, your books clutched in your arms, your daisy sweater that's a little too big.
Victor nudges me with his shoulder smiling smugly,
"Are you gonna do something or just keep drooling?" He snickered.
I look at him from the corner of my eyes, unsmiling, and with a huff, look back to you. My eyes going softer, smile gentler. I see you stand on your tiptoes to stack books on the very top part of your locker.
"Embarrassing, man." He muttered chuckling in my ear again. I just swat him away not taking my eyes off you.
Almost everyone, at this point, knows about my growing infatuation with you. Except you, of course. How could you know with you nose in a new book every other day.
What haven't I seen you read - from Percy Jackson, to comics, to fucking thick science books two grades above you, and those books- the ones that you never read without a newspaper cover, like an alcoholic with his cheap bottle of beer.
Thing is, I don't have trouble talking to girls. I score pretty good for myself. But you're- you're not a score. You deserve better. I wanna give you more. And I wanna do it right.
Ooh! I love winter..!
I take a deep breath, smiling as I enter the school premises. Lots of things you can do in winter that you can't in any other season. Like, drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows..! And using my coffee body butter. Ah, it makes everything feel so soft and smell like coffee..! Also, wearing sweaters. I usually wear a little oversized ones. It's another layer to hide my chubby, pudgy 5'2 figure.. But gosh I love winter!
I go through the corridors to my locker and, I have to stand on my tiptoes to get the books on the topmost part of my locker.
I have a small mirror attached to the locker. I touchup my gloss and shut the locker.
I couldn’t take my eyes off you, watching you with a slight grin. Seeing the way you reapplied your gloss, and how the soft light just seemed to reflect off you in this hallway as you walk to your class. My heart was pounding. I was so caught in you. I am brought out of my glossy lips-induced haze by Victor asking,
"What do you think, Jimmy?"
"'Bout what?"
"The internet debate- whether the 'book girls' belong to us bikers."
I smile and simply say, "of course, they do."
"But do they know that?" He taunts me pointedly.
I sigh looking in the direction you went.
"They will."
