i’ve been trying to find this one fairly elaborately made essay on how binghe is transfem and for some reason it’s been just. gone everywhere. i’ve tried searching for keywords but it just hasn’t made an appearance
all i can remember is that it talked about how the sword in xianxia is symbolic of the masculine ideal (and with it the implications of being ‘corrupted’ by it or destroying it) and it having cover art featuring binghe. it was all in black and white except the cover art which had red as a secondary color
if anyone can help i’d rlly appreciate it!! i really liked that essay back when i first read it and would like to read it again now to gain a different perspective kinda
