Head Canon

Post endgame.  Tony rarely takes off his shirt after fighting thanos.  Only people close to him have seen what the stones did to him.  He’s missing his arm from the elbow down because when Bruce and Stephen got to him, it was so damaged there was nothing they could do.  Above his elbow, starts the vein burns that were the stones going through his veins.  His heart is replaced with the reactor again, the new tech of it which houses the nanites that create his entire suit and his arm that is always there.  

The scaring is extremely bad and after a year, he recovers to look like himself but he’s aged extensively.  So now he looks older then he actually is.  Because of his injuries, he rarely has relationships either.  He’s more settled and he’s raising Morgan.  Although he’s not with Pepper, she does run most of the Company with Eira though.

“Yeah, did that once with me too. Pretty sure I aged like a year from panic,” she said, handing him over his coffee. “DUM-E needs a new arm build, I checked all the internal stuff last night, but I was too tired to start on him. There’s a crack on the inside framing that’s keeping his safety protocols in place. You know, the ones that turn on when he plays with acid? Can’t override them until that crack is fixed.”

“Well, that sounds like you’ve got your work cut out for you.” Tony patted her on the shoulder before taking a drink. “Wait, why was DUM-E playing with acid.  Did she seriously do that shit in here again?  I swear that girl is gonna be the death of me.” He mumbled as he walked over to his station.  “JARVIS, please let Kar know that if she’s going to be playing with chemicals to keep it in the chemical lab.” 

Yes Sir, I will tell Miss Stark directly.
