Tbh, I found Route 0 oddly weak compared to the other routes. None of the jokes felt as funny as they did later on. (In fact I didn’t laugh at ANY of them) They pointed out so many meta twists like the simulation and time/dimension travel twists are pointed out so much it’s obvious it’s not gonna happen. The Nozomi/Karua twist got foreshadowed too much so it was pretty obvious that’s the case, and everything was paced kind of weirdly tbh. Didn’t really leave me with a strong impression of the game until later on. It just felt weird because the general quality felt a lot better later. Also the Tsukumo twins got a disproportionate amount of focus compared to the other routes.

darumi is my favorite character not only bc she's great herself, but also because she really embodies everything hundred line stands for: the weird, the freaky, the queer, the unacceptable. she's into more degenerate stuff than anyone in the fandom and wears her oddness proudly, despite her past she has a heart of gold and is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people in the SDU. she's like a little microcosm of both kodaka's works and all the people who enjoy them.

Hot take: Takumi being presented as an 'everyman' from the start doesn't strictly make him one. Even from the start there are signs that he's more messed up than the average person, despite how he thinks he's 'normal', and these only get more blatant later. If anything he is an amalgam between 'normie' and 'normie power fantasy', and doesn't fit neatly into either one.

People need to stop using 'but the memories aren't real!' as a gotcha. The memories are real to those experiencing them. They have complexes, traumas and troubled relationships from exactly those memories. Takumi is not an exception to any of this just because he is the player character and his situation is unusual, he still had no awareness of it and is just like anyone else.
