On December 8, 2023, the day they buried MacGowan, we were nearly thrown out of a performance of Handel’s Messiah for snort-laughing (we’re hilarious people). Then we drank our way down Granville St, where we ended up in an Irish pub drinking double Jameson and pints of Guinness. A tableful of Irish women, a little bit South of sober, yelled at the bartender to show some respect and play some Pogues.
