Respectfully who put Jason Todd in the DC KO bracket. Against like Supergirl and Wonder Woman and Zatanna Zatara and literally everyone on that bracket. Like he’s cool but what will a bazooka do against the world’s most powerful metahumans. He is going to die.

Goddddd I fucking love comics Venom. Local guy never got any attention from his dad and makes it everyone else’s problem. “We were two wounds on the same altar.” Alien creature really really wants to love but doesn’t know how to. Horrible mischaracterized divorce for 20 years. “This city is like a living thing- it has the capacity for great good or great evil.” The symbiote has done terrible things but almost every writer explores this wrong. What if a guy compulsively blamed everyone else including his own other half because he refused to admit he could make mistakes. “We will earn love.” And I haven’t even read past 2017 yet.

Whenever Booster gets flirty Ted's glucose monitor starts going off. Ted thinks it's a buggy mess, Booster jokes it's because he's so sweet, but the real reason is that's the writers getting ready to bury Ted.
#the writers' heavy breathing at the thought of widower booster#the only reason why maxwell lord went evil was to make booster sad and angry#my ted...ted...ted...#ted stop playing gay chicken look behind you omg it's the isekai truck#he can't hear us he's too busy playing grab-ass with booster#shit it's got a gun!#boostle#booster gold#ted kord#blue beetle#my post

If they make Boostle canon I just know they'll kill Ted off again. Like they already did it before for Booster character development, a Booster-loving Ted Kord would be too tempting.
#ted goes “I love y--” and then he's hit by an orbital laser#if they played gay chicken then bury your gays activates and ted has a heart attack#i think alive boostle will only happen where booster is a non-character like teen titans go#im only half joking#booster gold#ted kord#blue beetle#boostle#my post

What is the FFs general relationship with Tony Stark like?
Well, Reed is unquestionably the closest to him. I mean, I know that fandom has this bizarre, mystifying belief that they don’t like each other, but that’s not at all what their friendship is like in canon. Far from it, in fact. They are very good, very close friends who care very deeply about each other and always have each other’s backs. I’d even say that the Starks and the Richardses in general are old friends and allies – Reed and Tony’s dads were close friends and partners for years while they worked for the Brotherhood of the Shield. (I don’t know if Reed and Tony met as kids, but it’s very possible if not likely that they did, given that their dads worked together.) And it’s a relationship their kids continued – Tony goes to Reed ALL THE TIME for help and advice when he needs it (which has been going on for decades), and Tony’s been there for Reed both as Iron Man and as Tony (pre-secret identity reveal). Personally, although I’m not a Tony expert, I think that Tony sees Reed as…goals. Not in terms of his intelligence or success or anything, just because Reed has managed to make a close, loving family for himself – a spouse, 15 kids, a brother-in-law, and a best friend who all adore and would never leave him – and I think Tony desperately wants that too, although he’s never quite been able to manage it for himself. They also both are very idealistic and forward-thinking and want the same things for humanity – to push them to be the best they can be. They’re kindred spirits in that sense. I truly get no sense of rivalry from them – they just genuinely love and admire and want to help each other, both in their personal lives and also their quest to make the world around them better.
They didn’t have very many on-panel interactions prior to the 1980s, but more contemporary writers have since retconned a friendship between Reed and Tony that dates back all the way to the early days of the Avengers and the FF, which makes sense if you think about it – they’re both scientists, and Reed at least has always had very close ties to the rest of the scientific community. Reed and Iron Man, however, interacted significantly less often and weren’t as close.
Reed and Iron Man first meet in Avengers v1 #3, where Tony asks Reed for help finding the Hulk, but Reed’s unfortunately in the middle of an experiment and can’t help:
Cut for length!

Tony Stark's Red Thong Of Justice
So, you all know the about Tony’s Iron Man Thong, right?
If not, I am here to share it with you.
This is the story of the time the Avengers went up against the Molecule Man. The time Steve rode Tony like a horse. The time Tony fought crime in a thong.

Stevetony AU where throughout their lives they keep seeing each other in their dreams at the same age. For Steve it's something to look forward to even on days he can't get out of bed, a boy straight from the most farfetched scifi novels, talking about the most outlandish future, but so earnest and eager he can't help but be drawn in. For Tony it's one of the few real relationships he has, sometimes the only one, and he clings onto it even if it's pathetic the one person he feels comfortable with is the imaginary friend he sees in his dreams, the one who always finds him interesting no matter how much he talks.
When Steve becomes Captain America it's a shock to Tony as his suspended disbelief comes crashing down. An unknown phenomenon connecting him to a random boy the same age as him from the early 20th century is completely nonsensical, but Tony's been growing up with Steve all his life. He's been averting his eyes from the truth to keep his best, oldest friend.
But a closeted, bisexual man seeing Captain America, who confesses his lifelong crush before going off to war? It's undeniably pure delusion. Tony's mind has been eating at itself since he was a child, since Howard and Maria took him to his first party and he stood outcast from all the children his age, and now it's come to twisted fruition, combining his idolization, secreted lust, and interminable loneliness into a fantasy to fill the gaping emptiness in his self. He'd thought he had already long-fixed his broken facade, had learned to charm and mask and lie to earn the friendships he'd desired all his life, chased away the loneliness completely, but apparently all his relationships were so unfulfilling his brain had conjured up this messy fusion of fulfillments anyway. He wishes he'd never loved Captain America if it meant knowing Steve isn't real, has never been real, and these feelings are worth as much dust in the wind.
Steve tries to convince Tony by revealing what only he can know, except everyone who could verify is already long dead. Nothing about Captain America's and his associates' lives can be used because Tony had read it all already, and nothing of Steve's can be used because the government has already hidden all of it.
Tony tries to distance himself from Steve. Their dreams are tense, unhappy affairs, with Tony only giving in to their friendship when either of them have their worst days, days when either of them are desperately seeking comfort. They never take that next step further, until one day Tony stops dreaming of Steve. Weeks, then months pass, and Tony tells himself he's relieved, and not mourning the best man he's ever known with a grief he can't explain to anyone.
#stevetony#stony#tony stark#steve rogers#marvel 616#anyways i didn't bother putting in the happy reunion because i got tired#and you already know how that goes right?#ok fine i guess an extra detail is they get married within a year#advanced future acclimation: wedding planning#steve proposed in his cap uniform#he'd like everyone to know he was planning to do the formalwear and private dinner date and then he remembered how#tony thinks the best item to bring a room together is a portrait of captain america#many jokes abound on how steve is hitting boot stereotypes the first chance he gets out of ice#next thing you know he's going to buy a mustang with terrible APR#my post
