got hit by a case of the motivation thanks to some very kind people. also i can finally properly include jabberwocky moreau & now my life is complete. snippet below :)

Neil barely catches it, seeing as he’s busy being attacked by a tiny, whining, bedraggled animal, jumping between his feet. It flits around so quickly that he doesn’t dare put down his bag for fear of hurting it. “What did you do?” he manages. He directs this at Jean, who’s just closing the door– because, well. Either he or Kevin is responsible, and Kevin seems like the type of person to be allergic to animals. The tiny thing sits down on its haunches and snorts up at him. “Nothing,” Jean says. He scoots the little dog out of the way with his foot so Neil can get past.  “Caved to the big brown eyes– twice,” says Kevin, coming around the corner with his reading glasses on the bridge of his nose and laptop balanced on one arm. He types out a decisive sentence with his free hand. Neil’s comfortable writing Kevin off as a lost cause for the moment. “Why is there a dog here?” Jean crouches down and lets the dog sniff his fingers for a moment before scooping him up. “This is temporary.”
