It pains me to see any human being to be living this way, to struggle to survive, to not know if you shall eat or live or die the next day, to be living in constant fear and waiting for some kind of relief. If it hurts you to see someone suffer like this as well, as I'm sure it does, imagine how much worse it must feel to those living through it! It hurts my heart, and I want to help, but I can't do it alone! My Palestinian friends needs your help! And you can help! Together, we are not powerless!

The Al-anqar family (who is vetted & #4 on this spreadsheet by gazavetters) needs our help to get to safety with their family. Thanks to the generosity of kind people, such as those on tumblr, they have made it to €30,608 of their €50,000 goal! However, they still have €19,392 more to raise in order to reach their dream of safety and security, and you can help them do it, even if it's simply through a reblog and/or a small donation. News: I am doing an art raffle so that my friend @safaamq10 can get to safety with her family. Safaa has also been vetted here.

If you donate a minimum of $5 USD to Safaa and show proof of your donation to her gofundme, then you will be entered in to win a fully colored, full background, fully rendered art piece (such as the examples you see above) from me featuring whatever you want (within the set rules). Safaa is also vetted by Ahmed here on her previous blog that was deleted by staff.

If i do the zine I'll probably need help setting it up, so if you know about zine making hmu lol.

For those who don't know, I also do beadwork and I'm pretty good at it (If I do say so myself)

and the "Fancy Shawl Butterfly" series was an art request series I've been doing since 2022 where people would send me a butterfly or moth species, and i would draw a fancy shawl dancer inspired by it. It's one of the most popular things I've done and I've had questions about potentially releasing it as a zine. I figure I could release one as a good cause, and even add other never before seen dancers to make the zine even more special

I dont have an excuse I just think it's a fun concept, so here's baby Faye & Kratos

I hate to be that person, since I know you've got tons of notes on that post and you shouldn't have to educate other ppl, even part natives like me, in your post about us, in the first panel there are a lot of obv racist portrayals, where the skin is a unrealistic red that goes past undertones, and even past what someone with severe sunburn would look like. But the example at the very bottom (first panel), I can't see it too well but I can't tell whats racist about it? do you mind explaining?

That's fan art of the character Connor Kenway/Ratonhnhaké:ton from Assassin's creed 3, a Mohawk character. This fanart of him is too red AND whitewashes him:

Connor on the right is medium-brownskinned with red UNDERTONES, while Connor on the left is literally red/pink. And nobody in real life is pink all over, but its extra unrealistic (and racist) when applied to a native person. Even with people who have a ruddy complexion in real life, they are also not pink all over, but just more "blushed" on certain parts of the body (ex: cheeks, chest) and again, you could not make this argument for Ratonhnhaké:ton anyway since he is neither pale nor has a ruddy complexion. The comics, however, did an accurate and non-racist portrayal of his skin color, and should be emulated.
