Petra flashed a smile at Dorothea, but she shook her head slowly. “I am feeling like perhaps you are exaggerating, Dorothea. I know I am looking nice, but perfect might be a word with too much strength to describe me right now.” Despite being very comfortable and confident with herself and her own appearance, there was still a level of humility and…practicality from Petra, not to mention Dorothea did sometimes have the tendency to oversell things, though only things she liked, and only in a positive way. The native of Brigid felt like this was surely another one of those times. “In fact, I would be saying that of the two of us, you are the one looking perfect.

Despite not having been on a real date with Dorothea before, Petra didn’t look particularly flustered or nervous herself. There was a great deal of excitement, however, which might have slightly manifested itself from time-to-time in her fidgeting more than she usually would, which was not at all, so there was a chance the other would notice it. Suffice it to say that Petra had been looking forward to this for some time now, but had never felt anxiety over it, partly because she knew it was coming, and partly because it was what she had wanted all along, and she was certain by now that any time with the brunette would be a good one.

“I am…still not knowing how to dance well, so you would have to teach me, but I would like that very much. I hope you are not minding if I rest against your shoulder while we are riding, though. I am still feeling just a little bit of tiredness, and I would rather be rid of it by the time we’re there.”

She shook her head, for once she wasn’t exaggerating, in her eyes the Brigid Princess did look perfect, perhaps it wasn’t simply because she was so beautiful that anyone would think so, perhaps it was because of the feelings Dorothea had held onto for so long, almost seven years now.....long before it would normally be considered proper, and was finally able to explore, perhaps it was simply because she was looking at her once again for the first time, in a new light, but she meant it. To her she was the living embodiment of perfection in this moment.

Of course there was also the fact that she knew, how she knew, that Petra had flaws, that she wasn’t perfect in and of itself, she wasn’t putting the woman on a pedestal, she wasn’t worshiping her, she wasn’t deifying her, she just was voicing how amazing she looked in this moment. Still she said nothing about that, and only flushed at the compliment being thrown back at her.

“I wouldn’t mind, but the kind of dancing I was thinking is simple and easy enough...” Still at the thought of being used as a pillow, she couldn’t hide her flush darkening just a touch, “And that does sound quite heavenly, I wanted today to be relaxing anyways.”

“Petra you look.......” The words failed her, she was perhaps the most beautiful creature that Dorothea had ever seen in her life, when she finally worked up the courage to ask her out for Devotion Day she never expected a positive answer, but more then that she never considered what she might wear when she met up with her, and in her native wardrobe she looked......well sexy was one way to put it, though that would be like saying that Edie looked strong, or saying that Hubie looked dark, in other words it was watering it down far too much.

But it was more then that, she wasn’t just sexy, she was beautiful, graceful, elegant, gorgeous...... “Perfect.” That was the only word she could come up with that was even remotely close to accurate. The dark skinned songstress’s face was heating up so fast, and so strongly, she could swear she was going to burst into flames any moment. 

Dorothea knew she was pretty, but she could swear right now that compared to the other she was about as attractive as a horses arse. 

Dorothea was wearing something she had made specifically for this date, a lovely dress that was custom designed to fit her and compliment what she saw Petra normally wearing, colour wise at least, when she was in anything native of her own, but compared to this...... 

“Ahem....I didn’t want to just go to a play, or to dinner so....I scheduled a carriage ride to take us to a place Edie recommended, it’s a grotto where we can simply do whatever....I was thinking maybe we could dance, then have a meal, and just...enjoy the day alone with just us?”

“O-Oh- Umm…I-” She did need to practice drawing anatomy and Dorothea did offer to do this but the Priest was a little embarrassed at how…personal this was to the Singer. “I-If y-you think I-I am w-worthy then I-I shall b-be happy t-to draw you-”

“If it’s with you I don’t mind.” She was one that used public bath’s and the like fairly often but there was a very real difference between just taking a bath and specifically posing and showing her body to someone specific. For someone like her, that truly valued her beauty and voice as all she had to offer, showing herself off like that was something truly special.

“Of course we’ll have to find a room to rent for a couple of days, I have plenty of freedom if I tell Edie I need a couple of days to myself she’ll give it to me as long as there’s not a battle being prepared. Or we could just ask her for a room for you.”

Flayn blushed a little bit as she realized exactly what she was asking before waving her hands around. “I-It’s just so that you may be a model! Umm…I need to practice drawing anyway…I want to help my brother write his fables after all!”

“Wouldn’t want to be a model for just anyone though Flayn, you are one of the few that I would allow to do that with. But of course, that’s only if you want to, and promise never to show anyone else it.” Showing her body off like that was something very special indeed, and she did like Flayn quite a bit, the fact that it would infuriate Seteth would be a small bonus admittedly.

“Oh! That makes a lot of sense! Do you think maybe one day we may be drawn naked? That sounds like a great achievement!”

That was.....surprising. She wanted to be drawn with her nude? She wans’t against it. “I’m not very good at painting.”

“But if you want to draw me, as long as you promise no one will ever see it other than you and me I wouldn’t be against it.”

“I see…but isn’t it normal to paint someone in the nude? As long as it’s in private then it should be alright.”

“But she doesn’t seem to mind so I see no issue with it.”

"Dorothea, why is someone saying you are not having attractiveness? Perhaps they are needing glasses. I am not believing anyone who knows you would be think that." (Petra, sorry this is so heckin late)

The flush that hit her face was instant and massive, she couldn’t even contain herself or breathe really at the compliment. “I think that people are allowed their opinions but….the only one that really matters is the one that I was just given in my eyes….you are amazing Petra, and thank you.”

She did want to but she wasn’t sure Flaynn would come, the girl really was so nervous and worried about upsetting the church even now, she supposed that did make sense in a way, much how for a while she was constantly afraid of upsetting certain people even if she didn’t really need to be. 

“I’m right above you.” The singer hummed out, legs kicking lightly from the branch almost ten feet above her, Dorothea might not be the best at some things but when you were an orphan you got really good at climbing and hiding really quickly.

“Ah! Lady Dorothea~ Or shall I say, lovely melody?” The leader of the Ashen Wolfs could not help, but to tease, before smiling, “Oh dear, when will this topic ever be dropped?”

She shook her head slowly, auburn tresses bouncing around a delicate frame lightly even as she chuckled at the playboys words, such a smooth talker. “I am expecting never if Lady Sothis has her way, she does quite enjoy causing some riots, figuratively of course.”

“Even Bylie can’t get her to stop.”

“Ah, Dorothea… I’m…” A lie reaches the edge of her tongue, a false "I’m fine” nearly spoken aloud, but she stops herself. As stoic as she is, she knows there’s no lying to Dorothea. “…Thank you.”

With almost anyone else she might have taken that lie and believed it, but then with almost anyone else they wouldn’t have noticed that lonely look in her eyes, that desire to have someone close to her, someone to spend time with. She might appear to be a statue but Dorothea knew better.
