“It used to be so much more peaceful that’s for sure,” Thyra said sarcastically, “excuse my sarcasm but the institute doesn’t have enough time to welcome new recruits in a celebration manner. We just lost alot of allies recently and a celebration to welcome new ones isn’t really appropriate.”

“ is this really all london has to offer now, ” he sighed, bored with what had welcomed him upon arrival. “ it used to be so much more fun, ” he was currently wandering the institute halls.

“Patience is a virtue. We’ll do something when something happens, ‘kay?” Thyra replied, “so just take this time to relax yourself. You won’t be receiving anymore free time in the future.”

Sky looked up from where she was sat crossed-legged, surrounded by a few books. “ Huh? ” she said before her brain caught up. “ Oh, I’m studying, ” she shrugged, holding up the grey book. “ Isn’t that what the library’s for? ”

Thyra smiled, “studying for what? If it’s okay to ask,” she said, “well, you’re in the part of the library where really old books are placed. I don’t usually see people go here since the information isn’t really updated.”

ophelia turns, eyes roaming over the other. theres a spark of something akin to appreciation when she sees the vampire’s beauty before ophelia shrugs. “it’s the weapons here. they’ll do fine in battle but…they’re just not right.” she sighs, peeling off her sweat soaked shirt letting the cool air get to the skin not covered by her sports bra. “nevertheless i’ll keep training.”

Thyra looked at Ophelia with curious eyes, “not right?” she asks, “what do you mean? If I could be of any assistance, tell me, okay?”

“persephone’s entire face lit up and she gushed. “i grew them,” she answered proudly. “theyre beautiful arent they?”

“You grew them?” Thyra said with a surprised expression, “that’s really impressive. It’s so hard to find this kind of flower, let alone grow them. They’re so beautiful. Where’d you get the seeds from?”

“A normal person would think that. You just haven’t met my parents.” Angel shrugged. “Yeah, not with a weapon till six but my dad would make training into a ‘game’ for me to play.I thought I was a ninja.”

“I don’t need to meet your parents. Most shadowhunter families act that way, which is both good and bad.” Thyra chuckled, “that’s an interesting way to ‘train’ a 3-yr old. And technically, you’re kind of a ninja.”

Eloise blinked as she looked at the other girl, she hadn’t noticed she was there until she spoke and really, was it that odd to be in the library? “I am here to get some books” She said with a little smile. “I don’t know why is not used more, is a lovely place.”

“That’s really nice to know that some people still go here,” Thyra grinned, “even with all the advanced technologies, you still go here to read these dusty yet useful books.”

the nephilim couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “why does everyone find it so hard to believe that i’m actually reading? for god’s sake, you can’t be the best forensic pathologist in london without books. it’s not that much of a deal.”

Thyra chuckled, “I believe that you can read. I just don’t believe that people are still going in this part of the library. It’s filled with old books with not much up-to-date information.”

Angel gave the girl a soft smile. “Oh well, thanks for not being too pissed at the whole ‘trying to shoot you’ thing” He nodded. “Yeah, been training since I was three. Dad wanted to make sure I didn’t embarrass the family.”

“I can see that you’re a really brave, intelligent person. That’s already beyond the lines of embarrassing your family,” Thyra raised her eyebrows, “youstarted training since you were 3? There’s nothing wrong about it but that’s still pretty early to train someone.”

In a little private corner in the Institute library, Thyra sat there with a glass of wine in her well-manicured hands. She swirled her glass of wine, flipping a page of the book she’s currently reading. “Excuse me, I don’t mean to be rude, but why are you here? I don’t usually see people coming here.”

Thyra stood still as she watched Ophelia train. She watched as most of her general posture was a bit...rugged. “Are you okay, love?” Thyra asks, emerging from the corner of the room, “you can always try again tomorrow. Maybe your mind is fogged up at the moment, that’s why you can’t focus.”

the blade cuts through the air, a smooth sleek arc made of metal. It feels wrong. her stance is strong and unwavering, grip firm and to any shadowhunter she’d look perfect- but the blade’s weight is wrong in her hands; the handle is too thick, the arc too wide. everything is just wrong. ophelia frowns, driving the blade through the air once more before returning it to the rack. she’s been through all the weapons the institute owns- they’ll do on a mission ,but they just don’t feel right. she’s too much of a perfectionist.

“It’s nothing worth apologizing for. You sensed someone was behind you and you immediately jumped to defend yourself,” Thyra smiled, “That’s really reassuring me that our allies are well-trained and the institute is in safe hands. Good job. If I may ask, why are you on the roof this late at night?”

“Holy shit….” Angel said softly, putting his bow down slowly. “S-Sorry…I didn’t expect anyone to come up here.” He mentioned, considering he was on the roof of the institute.

Thyra giggled, “aww that’s so sweet of you,” she says as she sniffed the flower she gave her, “this is lovely. It’s very unusual for this flower to appear in the area. Where did you get it?”

“there’s so many new people,” she murmured, voice melodic. the half seelie looked down at the basket in her hands and then frowned. “i don’t think i have enough flowers to give to all of them” she’d spent most of the day placing flowers in every room of the institute and giving them out to people.

Interesting fact about her: She was made through a ritual with warlock’s magic and Athena’s blood. Thus why she came out as a vampire.

Some stuff about her:

Thyra was made and raised in Paris, France with her mother Athena.

Thyra is pretty shy around new people but she can be rather loud with her close friends.

Although she isn’t a real princess of some sort, she does act elegant and proper almost all the time. 

Thyra looks really beautiful and have been asked to do photo-shoots from mundanes since the 1800′s. She was anxious at first but she was also curious about this modeling thing. She wants to try it out soon.

Thyra has an Instagram fashion blog with some of her creations and also from other high brands. 

Thyra has been fascinated with hummingbirds her entire life. She’s been studying them for hundreds of years now and observed their evolution.

Thyra is fairly smart but doesn’t really want to show it. She fears the others might get weirded out by her. She only has a few friends and she would love to gain more and being smart is really friendship-y gaining material.

Hundreds of suitors tried to allure Thyra for hundreds of years, women and men alike, but so far, she’s been receiving headaches rather than a relationship. She is aware that they mostly went for her riches and beauty than her personality.

She has a garden full of bird feeds. She’s really fascinated by the little flying animals. 

Her animal companion is a hummingbird named George and she also has a pug named Poop.
