LF Long-term partners!

Hey there! I'm Noeul, 26, they/she/he, Mountain Standard Timezone. Author of 15+ years, artist, gamer, and (very) tired dog mom. Looking to write via email/Google Docs or Discord.

Before anything else, please be aware that I can be a bit selective with partners and it's nothing personal. I'm simply looking for someone who has the same enthusiasm, passion and spark for the stories we may create; spitting out ideas until something 'works' and one-sided brainstorming isn't my forte. I'm not looking for genius levels of worldbuilding and character development, I just want someone who is as passionate about their characters and worlds as I am!

As an added note: I don't write romance/smut. I'm an author, and my characters have been with me for a long time — I've had too many horrible encounters, planned shipping that fell off, plots that focused too much on the romance, and gross obsession where it felt my partners were trying to date me/my characters. Please don't message me with the expectations of romance in the RP.

I am a busy individual outside of the internet, I have a lot to juggle and I use Discord/RP as a form of stress-relief when I have free time. I'm generally always around to chat, and my actual responses to the RP can vary from once every other day to once a week. It's pretty disparate depending on in-game events, but I do my absolute best to communicate with my partners to let them know of any changes or if my replies are gonna be slow. That said, please do not poke me/nudge me frequently!

I write third-person past-tense, though rarely, some characters may be written from a first-person perspective. Artistic expression. Multi-para to novella; I adore quantity and quality! My personal style of writing can lean into the cryptic, flowery and poetic range, but it's not consistent. I don't expect the same in return, I'm just looking for someone who wants to be as involved in the story as I am, and can bring their own depth and spin to the world we're playing in!

That said, I DO love to get to know each other! We're writing an amazing story together, so why not? I truly want to find someone who likes to get invested in their roleplays. Sharing Pinterest moodboards, playlists, random videos and posts are all things I love to do, so please don't be afraid to send anything anything that inspires you for the roleplay! Or even something completely unrelated too.

I exclusively use my own OCs, and don't make new characters for the RP. They can all be altered and whatnot to fit virtually any plot/setting however — I have a handful of headworlds that vary from ancient aliens to the old west, and I've thoroughly enjoyed reducing, reusing and recycling my guys for all of them! I am totally fine with you coming up with new characters or bringing your own over! (Also, I do have a good chunk of cop OCs, so if that makes you uncomfortable or is a trigger, then we won't be a good match)

I love found family, and I love large casts of characters! I can do one char against one char, however I tend to struggle as I enjoy bringing in my other OCs throughout the story to spice things up. Side characters are expected to be abundant, and I'd love for someone to bring their own casts and NPCs! Just, please don't try to control my own guys.

I absolutely adore sci-fi, cyberpunk, urban fantasy and dystopia. High-action, drama, dark and gritty are my go-tos, but I also enjoy more lighthearted and hopeful themes, things in-line with Studio Ghibli and whatnot. Fantasy can be considered if the setting and plot is right, and older time-periods I'd rather stay away from.

Here is what I am looking for:

— Someone preferably 21+ due to some themes that may be present, but I'm fine with someone younger if the maturity is there and the story is relatively "clean".

— Long-term.

— A patient partner. Life tends to change a lot for me, so I can be prone to chatting one minute and disappearing for the rest of the day/night after. Sometimes I may say I'll get a RP response out the next day, and it won't come for almost a week after. I'll always let you know if something comes up and I won't be around for a bit.

— Someone who enjoys discussing characters and plots, and just stuff not pertaining to the roleplay.

Now, here's what I am not looking for:

— Short replies, one-liners, script. I need a bit of depth to work off of; what is your character thinking? Feeling? How are they interacting with the world? What is happening around them?

— Short-term.

— "Pairings/Shipping"; the gender of your character(s) don't matter, since shipping isn't in the equation anyway.

— Godmodding/powerplaying. When in doubt, just ask!

— Rude or manipulative partners. Nasty attitudes simply aren't tolerated, towards me or my characters.

As for what I'm looking for, I have a few headworlds/concepts I will list below that can be used as bases. These aren't meant to be taken as I'm only interested in writing for them, but if any stick out to you then please do tell me!

— Cherry City: a nexus megacity connecting immortal and mortal-alike, where once-opposing forces have now adapted and learned to coexist with one another. It has its bountiful share of xenophobia and discrimination of course, but a wolf-like creature with a sword too big for any modern human has become one of many in upholding the strained sense of peace. Perhaps he aids your character in one such case, or becomes a guardian-figure to a less-fortunate and naive kid unaware of the societal differences. He is old after all, and has always shrugged away the warmth of compassion.

— High Fantasy: Set between four mountains and housing 12 shrines of the Japanese Zodiac, each with their own devout following and Champions. Very secluded area with diverse landscapes and people, hidden from the outside world to preserve its purity and sacred guardian spirits. Other mythical creatures such as dragons and wild, beast-like gods are present in this world. One idea I have is that my character unknowingly wanders into this land, tries to pick a fight with the guardian dog spirit (another character of mine) and gets into a bit of trouble with the locals because of it. Ideally I would like a sort of found family dynamic with a small group of characters but it's not a deal breaker.

— King City: Acid rain, a corrupt police state and warring motorbike rivals make up the primary conflict of a once bustling and lauded metropolis, now reduced to a desolate, threadbare husk. Has room for other adjustments and further worldbuilding.

— Hraesvelgr: Presumably hundreds of years ago, an unknown plague-like manifestation of chaos overtook the world, rendering it into shadowy, black lands housing countless, mysterious dangers. Most of the surviving population of the Known World rests in rural East Asia, with smaller settlements somehow thriving in the United Kingdom and France. There are also very few individuals that are born with an immunity to the Unknown World, and a journey soon begins that will take them further than before in order to understand what had truly happened.

Don't hesitate to ask questions or come to me with your own ideas! I am pretty open to all types of characters, plots and settings. If I left out anything or you need clarification, absolutely ask away!
