Not an art post because I currently don't have any art but current thoughts on Dragons Rising because I just binge watched the entire thing in one (kind of) sitting and JUST finished: AAAAAAAA!!! GNDBDBKSK?? THE WRITING?? THE CAMERA WORK AND ANIMATION??!?! THE CHARACTER DYNAMICS?!?!? ARNGNHHK!!!

I'll make jokes and art in the coming days once more people have seen it, but omg?? I'm excited for what the current team working on Ninjago.

OKAY. So, this is going to be a bit long winded so bare with me, the answer to that question is yes and no. How I draw him generally with the scars and stuff is just how I draw him because of a headcanon I have based around how he died which was a combo of the Kethanol geyser and hypoxia. However, the way I draw him “revived” is a part of an AU that I’ve been (slowly) working on. It’s nothing fancy, just another one of the hundreds of “Okay guys here me out on this one. What if, now this is REALLY crazy, what if Morro came back and he got an actual redemption arc. Thoughts?” Kinds of AU’s. It doesn’t have a name yet and there isn’t much I can tell aside from the fact that Hoshi, the cat I draw him with, is a major part of it (she’s the reincarnate/the host body for the first wind elemental). The original plan for it which has been scrapped sorta was that his powers were fading/slipping because he’s been dead for so long but that conflicts with how I headcanon cursed spirits to be. Now it’s something similar but it's been stuck in WIP hell for a while so it's not as fleshed out as I want it to be to share with people yet.

The only major difference between how I draw Morro normally (ghost) and how I draw him in AU drawings is their ages and hair lengths. Morro (Ghost) is 16 and has shorter hair, and also looks more similar to his mini figure/canon design, and Morro (Revived) is 19-20 and has longer hair. I also tend to draw him in civilian clothes the most just because I don't have a design for his ninja uniform yet.

There's also designs I have that have been on the back burner/haven’t been drawn yet that I haven’t posted about yet, and those being Movie Au’s and other fun what if stuff.

This is that test I mentioned in my last post. I gave up. Kinda. I'll probably finish/clean it up and color eventually because I think I can include it in portfolios when I apply for schools in the fall but I wanted to just be done with it now lol + a thing I did of Akita that I like because I like the the fur movement

Yay! I'm glad someone likes my version of the character of all time!

I wanted to create a design that fit A. His character and B. How I theorize/percive his death, a mix of other general cursed spirit headcannons and what that would look like if he did return to the show human again and finally something that was unique to me as an artist (as in when you look at it you go ah that one silly guy made this one) using all of my headcanons and theories about Morro's character among other things.

I like how generally everyone in the Ninjago fandom has their own version of the Ninja, the villains or any side character of their choosing and I'm glad I finally found the courage to seek out something I enjoy and share it with people who also enjoy it as much as I do too :]

I haven't drawn him in a while because now that I'm back in school + marching season being almost over I've been super tired all the time so I'm using this ask as an excuse to pull my self together for a second lol
