"Botulinum toxin may be a good treatment for highly-localized motor tics (Marras et al, 2001; Vincent 2006) – interestingly, some patients treated with botulinum toxin for a single focal tic notice spread of the tic to an adjacent non-injected muscle."

Here's a question 😂 so I have tourettes right and, I noticed that when I draw is the only time I don't tic. Does anyone else experience this who are artists or just me?
I've heard from a ton of people concentrating on stuff makes their tics go away. Mine do pretty much go away when I draw.

Tourettes Sensation
Before I tic it always feels like an electric current is going through me and triggering all my muscles rather than just an unstoppable urge.
Has anyone else experienced this?

I drew this for tourettes awareness month. I really do view ticcing as a brain glitch. I realize that some are hazardous to the people that have them, but for me it just draws attention. Which is why the ribbon says no need to worry.

I walked past a kid in Target the other day who was pretty obviously ticcing and I didn't say anything but in my head I was just like "my people!"

Required: Definitely not. In the US and I'd think most other places.
That said, I've found it super helpful to tell everyone about it anyways cause the idea of people noticing my tics and just sitting there wondering wtf is wrong with me freaks me out. My Tourettes is pretty noticeable sometimes and I'd rather be open than let people make their own assumptions.
I’m very fortunate to be someone with “lighter tics” but I’d like to know... are people with Tourette’s required to disclose their Tourette’s to employers? I honestly feel I’d be discriminated and forced to “prove” my Tourette’s & such at my current job place. It doesn’t typically interfere with my work. Just wondering if this is something I’m REQUIRED to disclose?
