Hey @taylorswift,
I鈥檓 not sure if you鈥檒l ever see this... but I have to at least be able to say I tried? I鈥檝e been a huge fan of yours since 2007 seeing you in concert for the first time when you were opening for Rascal Flatts in 2008. Since then I鈥檝e seen you 22 times all over the country, where I鈥檝e met some of my very best friends. This COVID-19 pandemic has hit so many so hard financially and I personally am blessed to be able to say that I have not been too effected. This small nonprofit in Nashville unfortunately cannot say the same. Smart Art + Craft Supplies is a reuse store for art and craft supplies that teaches vocational skills to and employs people with intellectual disabilities. Smart is doing everything possible to continue to pay their employees with intellectual disabilities throughout this pandemic but with the store closed that is becoming increasingly cumbersome financially. Financial woes before this COVID-19 storm blew in make things even more troubling and insecure for Smart. My biggest fear is that by the end of this the people with disabilities who are employed here will be unemployed, and that Smart will cease to exist. Smart has become an essential stepping stone for people with disabilities in Nashville to achieve viable employment. For a person with a disability, entering the work force can be both daunting and overwhelming. At Smart there is an environment that is conducive and comfortable for a person with a disability to take that first step. To begin their journey and to learn the necessary skills to secure a job in the future. This service is so unique and so essential to a community of people who are desperately underserved. Losing Smart would be a huge blow to Nashville as a whole. There is a GoFundMe set up to benefit Smart Art + Craft Supplies at GoFundMe.com/SmartNashville. Any interaction from you would offer incredible exposure to this organization that is working so hard for people with disabilities right here in Nashville.
Best to you... your fellow Sagittarius, 1989 born, Nashville neighbor... Kyle Graden.
