// stumbled upon the song ''i am the winter'' by the family crest and immediately remembered just how much rika suffered (and suffers) in the winter... obviously she's living comfortably now and doesn't have as much trouble enduring it, but during her time at the pond... there were winters where she wasn't even able to leave her father's burrow most days from how cold it was outside.

there was a winter where she got stuck in the midway point between ana's and serrano's house and the pond and had to find refuge in a small cave until a cold, unforgiving storm passed. one of the loneliest she's ever felt.

☠🌏– Rika emerged from under the weighted blankets, hair completely disheveled and eyes half closed, not knowing where she was or what day or time it was for a minute. Not like she cared for that amount of time though, feeling relaxed and cozy as she lazily yawned.

''Mm... Wha...?''

She stared at Grusha and the small paper bag of churros he was carrying, as well as the cork cup with steam coming out of it. Slowly, she put two and two together in her sleepy haze.

''Ahaha, Grushgruuuuush...''

She let out a happy whine as she took her arms from under the blankets and stretched like a lazy Sire, tacitly asking for hugs and kisses for the gesture. She was so toasty warm, and this would definitely help keep her that way.

''Yer so cute I dunno if I should eat the churros or you instead~ Nahaha...''
