Our first post for our second #instaseries called "Show and Share". Yayy! This is where we show how we make some of our works. This is how we make our lovely postcards. We used lettering for this one. Materials: -Waterbrush -Van Gogh Watercolor Palette -Canson Watercolor Paper -Martha Stewart Envelope Punch Board -Cutter/Scissors -Corner Punch We looked for inspiration from our feed. Then, we gathered up the materials. We only had a few minutes to do this because we were going home to our family's house for lunch. 😄 We chose the purple and blue palette. We started with a light "sketch" using very watered down purple. We filled in the color with a blue and purple blend. When the paint dried, we made a mark on how big the card should be by using the punch board. We just eyeballed it. And then, we cut the edges. And using a corner punch, we punched the corners to make it curve-ish. And we're done! Yayy! You don't have to have the same materials as we do. You can use a different brand for your palette and paper. You can use a normal brush, also. But we didn't like the hassle of dipping. You can also use a ruler to measure the egdes. WORKSHOP UPDATE! Almost every year, we give a FREE workshop. 😄 We're partnering this time with Megaworld. Yayy. The Workshop will focus on Pointed Pen Calligraphy. It's set on April 29, 2017 from 1-3:30pm (for ages 6-12 years old) and 3:30-6pm (for ages 13 and above). This workshop is for those who have never tried calligraphy before or have always wanted to try but hasn't had the time. We're still working out if there would be a very small registration fee (like 100-300php) but you will receive a kit, three hours of lessons, a certificate, and free food from the Richmonde Hotel. We're posting the registration form and more updates within the week.
