TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES AND TIMELINE UPDATE

So the challenge sign-ups have experienced some technical difficulties. It turns out that AO3 requires sign-ups to be turned on in two different places and your mods, in their inexperience, only turned them on in one place. 

In order to make up for this, the deadline for sign-ups has been extended until Wednesday, November 21st

Thanks so much for letting us know, @whiskeytangofrogman!!! So it turns out that when you run a challenge through AO3, they ask for a date you want sign-ups to open, but they ALSO include a checkbox you have to click in order for sign-ups to be open. Sorry we missed it (this is the mods’ first time running a challenge through AO3) and hopefully you can now find the link!!!! We’ll probably be extending the sign-up deadline by a week just to be sure everyone who wants to sign up still can.

Fanworks do not have to be birthday-themed. We just wanna celebrate Derek Nurse! 4. Anyone with an AO3 account is eligible to participate in this exchange. 5. Please be considerate of the likes and dislikes your recipient provides, as well as any other information they give you to work with. Why such a long time between assignments and posting?

An excellent question! Because sign-ups fall at the beginning of the winter holiday season and other exchanges such as Swawesome Santa happen in December, we wanted to be sure people have plenty of time to complete their fanworks. Also, Nursey Week takes place in the week leading up to February 14th, so we wanted people to have the option to do both.

What if my life explodes and I can't get my fanwork done in time?
