Lily's partners harass Lizzy???
I would say “harassed” and not “harass,” since I haven’t seen it happen since this time:

Ginger here claiming that Lizzy was “startin shit” when Lizzy didn’t mention anyone by name. And yet hell was brought down upon her.

Okay ive been out of the Lilly Orchard loop for a good year or two now, whats going on? Last time i looked she was gonna marry Lizzy now all hells broke loose.
Are you sure you want back in on the loop
you were doing so well
weren’t you happier
-
Lizzy broke up with her, Lily went and dated a few people, she’s now engaged to Mikaila and dating Ginger. Her fiancee Mikaila writes fanfiction with her and draws Lily’s pokemon comic. Lily now says that Lizzy abused her, and Lily made her the boogeyman in her pokemon comic, frequently mentioned as ‘her’ or ‘the witch.’ So that’s. Charming.
As for Lizzy, there’s no word from her. She appears to be trying to move on. Lily’s current girlfriend and fiancee have harassed Lizzy on twitter. Lily can’t do that herself because she was banned from twitter.
In fictional stuff, Lily threatened to stop making her comic because not enough people were commenting, and, in her words, the people who were commenting were “vapid.” Instead of no longer making her comic, she added a note in bold capslock at the end of each comic post saying LEAVE COMMENTS.
She also yelled at a fan for drawing fanart of her in a way she didn’t like.

Actually....it’s the opposite. Pedophiles tend to tell their targets things like “you’re so grown up for your age,” or “you’re mature,” or the classic “age is just a number.”
It’s a very insidious manipulation technique, because it normalizes the situation for the predator’s victims. It’s a way of making the victims feel good about themselves, associate that good feeling with being with the predatory adult, and associate their relationship with that predatory adult with those positive traits.
Accusing people of “infantilizing” adults is a dangerous narrative to spread. Lily is in the clear with the law, she’s right about that. But what about the teens in her audience, maybe just turning 18, seeing this person they look up to spewing that it’s wrong to “infantilize” adults. What can they take from that, but “this adult I look up to says I shouldn’t be looked down on. I’m mature for my age...”

At what point did you start watching lily’s content - and when + why did you stop watching her content? What moments turned your support away from her?
I’m not a former fan.
I was tangentially aware of her content because I used to watch other mlp youtube content. I think I watched one or two of her videos for the first time, I want to say...four or so years ago? Maybe a little more. I couldn’t tell you what they were about or what I thought about them because they left very little impression on me.
More recently, I started noticing her again because her youtube and tumblr reached a level of obnoxiousness that was hard to ignore. And even at that point, I still thought she was probably harmless even though her opinions are terrible. I felt sorry for her, too, because she seemed to receive a strange level of flak.
But then I saw the way she was treating people, and a pattern started coming to light the more I watched and remembered things she’d said previously. It built up into an ugly picture.

To people who write to my inbox: I do read all your messages, and appreciate them. If I didn’t publish it, it’s most likely because it says something I think is unfair about lily. I may dislike what she does, but I’m not setting out to demonize everything about her.
To my mind, saying she’s acting abusively towards her fans: fair.
Saying she continues to attack her ex in increasingly disturbing and public ways: fair.
Saying her writing sucks and her critiques also suck: fair.
Those are all immediately provable by looking at her blog or content pretty much any day of the week.
Things about her more distant past, her family, her identity...I’d rather not publish things like that on my personal blog.

Whats the issue with Allie and Rey's romance?
In TSR? I’ve only read one chapter, so I don’t think I can speak to any issues that might be there yet. It seems fine so far? Just not very interesting.

khsupergeek1288 replied to your post “Hey so….Lily has started saying that referring to her by her old last...”
Well considering she legally changed her last name to Orchard...soooo...
Yes, for sure no one should be calling her by her old last name. That’s totally legitimate. My issue is calling that “deadnaming.”

If someone refers to lily with her original surname isn’t that like referring to a lady with her maiden name? So not deadnaming but still not that great
I believe Lily that calling her by her old last name is a problem, because of the connections. If she doesn’t want to be called that, it’s not cool to call her that.
I actually think it’s a perfectly valid reason to not want to be called something, just not quite the same as deadnaming.
When Lily first came out on the internet, it was with her maiden name.
Calling Lily by her old first name = deadnaming, an obvious dick move and transphobic
Calling Lily by the first name she came out as, before she got engaged = you missed the memo, this is something that bothers her for legitimate reasons, but something she is responsible for telling people she’s uncomfortable with, because it’s not necessarily obvious to every stranger.
I think she just finds it easier to make other people responsible when she gets upset. Calling it “deadnaming” means that people who make the mistake didn’t just make any mistake, now they’re transphobic.

I have a theory that Lily’s problem with queer as a slur stems from the same kind of issue as her last name now being a deadname. She’s personally offended by the term, so she has to make it that it’s a problem with the whole community, rather than something she needs to work out for herself.

I don’t know how time works for Lily Orchard, but I don’t think the 90′s were ten years ago…she’s either willfully ignorant and will never pick up a book on LGBT history, or she’s purposefully lying because she knows her fans would rather take her word for everything than look anything up.

Re: deadnaming an old last name -- yeah, not a thing. Lily has a tendency to use terminology like a bludgeon to shame her fans into compliance. She can't just say "please don't use my old last name", she has to turn it into a YOU problem. It's a form of gaslighting.
She definitely does all she can to shame the people around her.

This is the treatment her fans get for apologizing to her. She grinds their face into the dirt.

Hey so....Lily has started saying that referring to her by her old last name is also deadnaming.
I’m trans too, and I’ve never heard of that being a thing?? My research, too, reveals nothing. Anybody else out there got a read on that?
I definitely understand how an old last name could be triggering in a similar way to a deadname, but that really feels to me like it’s her twisting trans terminology to validate her victimhood rather than admitting this is a trigger that’s specific to her...

Wait til you get to her amazing takes on mental health and people stuck in abusive situations!
I remember when she was making a long series of posts responding to people’s mental health questions. The blog @thassabadtake has many screenshots of those and points out pretty much anything I could say about that.
Since I’m mostly covering her work, I can add that it definitely affects her writing. Poke Madhouse handles abuse and mental health in an extremely disrespectful and immature way. It’s a mix of problems, like pokemon being the wrong setting to tackle that subject matter, Lily’s insistence on including those elements anyway, and the constant jokes about it.

sui-senka replied to your post “gotta be honest, every time i get an ask, i click the little envelope...”
Yes because lady is disgusting and deserves to be deplatformed
I’m surprised she hasn’t been deplatformed simply for plagiarism yet. Stealing bits, lines, and ideas from Hbomberguy, Zero Punctuation, Jim Sterling, and even TV Tropes entries...I suppose her audience is young enough that most of them probably don’t know, and those creators probably haven’t watched her stuff.
And thank goodness it’s been a while since I’ve seen her take nsfw asks on her sfw blog, not tag them, with no way to tell if she’s receiving those asks in the first place from minors. Because that sure was gross!

gotta be honest, every time i get an ask, i click the little envelope thinking “is this the day I die”
I keep anticipating some kind of lily fans anger, especially considering Lily made references to what I said and reblogged a couple of my posts.
But every time my inbox is just all people complaining more about lily, i’m crine
some people really wanted a place to vent huh

TSR Chapter 1
I finally made it through the first chapter of The Sith Resurgence.
It’s okay. I mean, it’s not terribly offensive as an intro. There are some basic writing problems, like unintentional sudden switches in point of view (which the intentional switches of point of view don’t excuse, because they’re mixed up with each other), and the way she uses commas to introduce dialogue creates aggravating, nonsensical run-ons that could be fixed with some simple periods.
As a drama, I can see some good hooks in there. A Sith as a main character, making her a traditional ‘bad guy’ but from the perspective of being a sort of misunderstood pariah. She cares about poor people, and she offers to help a cause that involves her natural enemies because her principles effectively align with theirs.
As a romance, so far fairly boring. Rey is introduced as being attractive and that’s about it. The dialogue is unnatural and pretty unpleasant to read.
I don’t know what awaits me if I have the patience to get further. This review is not for Lily’s sake, because she’s stated she’s only interested in critique related to whether Aliana’s portrayal enters racist territory. Lily, feel free to not read my blog.
