 Helena  simply  nodded  at  Artemis’  rant,  chewing  on  her  wad  of  pink  bubblegum.  “You  must  be  fun  at  parties.”  She  smirked  and  secured  her  crossbow  in  its  holster  on  her  back.  “It’s  not  like  I  was  looking  to  save  anyone.  I  happened  to  be  passing  by  and  saw  the  fight.  It  ain’t  that  deep.  So,  what  are  you,  another  solo  riding  vigilante?”

artemis only sent them a glare, her anger still boiling in her veins at what just happened. she took a second to close her eyes and guide the air into her lungs in attempts to calm herself down.  “i’m great at parties,” she snapped, looking down at her own crossbow before doing the same, placing it in its holster. “and what if i am a solo riding vigilante? you look like you’d also be one yourself.” she added bitterly, still unable to completely calm herself down with how the other spoke. they weren’t making it any easier for her to stand down and be more peaceful. instead, they only added the gasoline to her flames.

Tim frowned. “I– …Okay.” He sighed, rubbing his forehead. “I do have a few ideas about how we could fix this.” 

Striding over toward the car, he glanced it over with a wary look. “Who stole it, and how? And… why?” 

Going around to the passenger door, he opened it with gloved hands and reached for the compartment. “Is the registration in it? We’ll wanna keep that for now, just in case. You can probably shred it in a week, but for the time being, I think it’s in your best interest to not let it fall out of your possession.” 

Continuing his search of the car, he added, “What we do next depends on the method we pick. The first option is to deep clean the car to get rid of forensic evidence– fingerprints, hair, clothing fibers; I’m sure you know the drill– and then pick a drop point to abandon it. We’ll also have to hose it down before we leave, to be safe. Personally, I don’t recommend this one. If the car is found, it could still be reported stolen, and traced back to you. The other option, and the one I recommend, is that we take it to a junker and scrap it, even though that’ll take more time. Also, we’ll wanna keep the license plate and destroy it ourselves later, so that the junkyard has no evidence that this wasn’t a car that just happened to be the same make and model as their stolen one.” 

Finished with his spiel, he turned to smile at Tigress, almost proud of himself and his assessment. “What do you think? Do-able?” 

artemis listened to tim’s questions, having the answers since she had checked the car several times since lian and will both left. she sorted out most of the things that were needed to be dealt with, the only problem was the car itself. “yeah, i got that all handled. i’ve got it somewhere safe for the time being until i can shred it or do whatever else i can do to it.” artemis massaged her temple, heaving a sigh. she could really use a break.  the young woman watched tim closely as he did his search, moving a bit here and there to follow him and see where he exactly had had been examining the car. he was precise with everything he did, and a small smile tugged at her lips at the memory that came to her. he reminded her of dick when they had just started young justice, their detective skills being as proficient as always when it came to the members of the bat-family.  when tim looked back at her with a smile, a low chuckled escaped artemis’ lips as she nodded. “definitely,” she replied, glad for his help more than he’d know. “good work, kid.”

“Don’t worry gorgeous, I said I’d take care of it, so I will,” he says, bringing a hand up to cup her cheek, pressing a kiss to her nose to emphasize his point. He continues to lean into the feeling of her fingers in his hair, his eyes falling closed as he does.

After a moment, when she speaks again, he opens up his eyes to look at her, “if you want something to snack on while watching a movie I happen to know someone who could, maybe, be convinced to go get you whatever you want.” He pauses for a moment, his grin coming back full force, “for a price of course, just some cuddling, maybe kissing, while we watch the movie?”

artemis chuckled lightly at his gesture, her heart swelling in her chest as she gazed back at him lovingly before he closed his eyes. she continued to thread her hand through his hair, his scarlet strands running through her nimble fingers. she smiled softly, cherishing the time she spent with him. “i’m listening,” she mused, smirking, still playing with his hair. she rolled her eyes playfully at his so-called ‘price’. “isn’t that already a given, wally? but yeah, sure. cuddles and a movie. and maybe kisses.” she joked before pecking his lips quickly. “now go get those snacks so we can do all of that.”

He chuckles softly, “I promise I’ll restock the kitchen for us.” His goofy smile stays on his face as he holds up his right hand and uses his left to cross his heart, “cross my heart and hope to die I promise I’ll restock the kitchen babe.” Once he’s made his point of promising to her he’d do it his arms wrap her in a hug once again, one palm resting on the small of her back. A hum leaves his lips and he tilts his head back into her touch, he was a sucker for her playing with his hair.

a smile creeps it’s way to artemis’ lips at wally’s own goofy one, allowing a chuckle to escape from her as she drew herself nearer to him. “okay, i’m trusting you this time. don’t make me regret it,” she said, adding another peck to his cheek once he hugged her for the second time.  she allowed her fingers to thread through his red strands, relishing in the close contact she had with him. his humming made her shake her head lightly, but she was glad to know he was enjoying this just as much as she was. “should we watch a movie? but ugh, we don’t have anything to snack on if we do.”

Tim tried not to stare at Artemis with visible incredulity. Struggling to keep his voice even, he said, "...And you thought I'd know how to fix it? Not... Nightwing?"

“because last time i checked, he was busy out of town.” artemis answered, rather dryly. she was irritated by the whole situation and hoped that if dick couldn’t help, then maybe his younger brother could. he was well known for being an excellent detective and problem-solver. 

“i don’t even know how it happened, but it has to be gone before will gets back with lian. they’re at the park right now and we can’t waste any more time!”
