This photo by Albert Licano really captures this moment in time perfectly. This past Saturday at the Regent in DTLA after many years of waiting, we finally saw a reunion of Cryptic Slaughter playing under the name “Lowlife”. The name had come about due to Legal Action taken, but no matter the name, we got to see our favorite songs played live by some of the music scenes finest. The soul of Cryptic Slaughter is in very competent hands, and continues to breathe on because of them. Thank you everyone for making this happen, a dream true for myself and many others. We lost a hardcore founder, Randy Rampage. I love DOA and hardcore 81 is still in my rotation at least once a week. He passed on the same day Jay Adams passed more reason I hate the date.
