I know it would probably break the game, but could you imagend the game world being in accurate size?
The villages being actually villages, Jarlaheim being a big town. Jorvik stables being this huge, fancy, amazingly populare stable its said to be. Silverglade manor and winery being absolutely large place and the nature being vast and free!!
The landscape is what I really want to get more off. It doesnt feel wild. If you put mooses or wild horse herds in the game, you would wonder if they would actually count as wild concider how close human civilization are.
I would love to get away and get lost in Jorviks nature. Like, actually need to take up the map to figure out how to get of forests.
Or ride along side the epona river and instead of looking right see a cliff and looking left and see a cliff, the fog makes it impossible to see where it ends, and maybe you could just see the outline of a woodear at the edge of the fog, that would run away when you get to close.
I know epona river doesnt really count as a swamp and woodears are suppouse to be up north but I would really love to see magical horses in their 'natrual' habitat.
Herd of brinicles in dino valley.
Looking out at the ocean at Fort pinta, you could just about to see the heads of kempos and telling sticking up just before promply diving down again.
At nights you maybe find Umbra and Alya 'dancing' around eachother by lakes or fields.
Just short moments like that, things that could be uncommon to happend but things that make it seem that magical horses are apart of jovik but are just very rare.
And new players who arent aware of these horses would get quite suprised when they witness them but dont know what they are.
I just really want the world to seem vast and mysterious.

I know I usually defend SSO. But having a realistic model with such an intense, comedic trait like “You need to pay me 90.000 JS or work for me for 40 years” doesn’t go well together. To me, it feels like SSO has really taken a hit in character design.
Tiny, huge headed James rubbing his hands together with wide eyes beneath thick frame glasses? That’s just funny. The fact that he looks like he’s seven and is running a business? That makes his personality more believable, because everything is stupid and exaggerated.
Conventionally attractive clearly teenager James with trendy clothes sporting an even more intense comedic trait? It’s just bad character design. It also stops being funny. His money grubbing isn’t endearing anymore. It just feels super forced and like his only purpose in life is to be a dick.
Imagine if Ydris was “traditionally ugly”. His “Little dove, mon chéri” act would fall flatter than Linda’s personality. There’s a reason he’s handsome, and it works great. But just because it works for YDRIS that doesn’t mean every single character needs to be pretty now.
I also feel like James was too rushed, like they saw the success Ydris had and though “Oh, let’s just do that again” which is really boring. It was fine when they did it to Andy because he’s such a minor character but it really doesn’t work with James’ personality.
Instead of updating different NPC’s immediately, I think they should’ve stopped and talked about “How far can we take things in this new style? Can we make characters stand 90 cm tall and still make them believable? Can we make a huge characters with tiny heads? How tiny of a head is too tiny in this style?” instead of pumping out realistic NPC’s one after the other because “Shit we’re in too deep now, everyone else looks normal so if we start experimenting with this one it’ll look strange and out of place”.
But that’s just my opinion and I’m not always right or the one that has all the answers.

I find it kind of sad that SSO has the chance to develop characters like Ydris or Nic Stoneground but instead release pretty meaningless hints to stuff that might not even come for months. And that’s why I’m falling out of love with the game, there’s no development outside of the Soul Riders, who are even still kind of boring and flat. And all the “background content” we get is in stuff outside of the game. You shouldn’t have to buy a book to understand an online story game.

Ok. Ok bear with with I have another idea:
Anne needs to train up, and regain her strength. WE need to train up, figure out what powers we have.
a Lot of the training in the game revolves around racing.
What if they gave us a race with the other Soul Riders where we can do so?
It would have to be like the circus race (in another dimension? Like in the area where Fripp is?). It can take different forms (one day its like Gallopers nightmare, one day its the rainbow race, one day its like the Ydris race, sometimes its just a flat out speed race. Sometimes its Pandoria, you get me?
Alex suggests you spice things up by using powers, so she can shoot lightning bolts (which knock you off course like in the rainbow race), Anne can teleport ahead of you (but only a couple of times), and tbh I’m not sure how Linda and Lisa’s skills would come into play. Maybe Linda could create illusions (obstacles) and you have to think fast to move around them or dispel the illusion.
In the meantime they are trying to get you (the MC) to try each of these skills and see if you have them- there could be power up type things (pieces of aideens light maybe?) that when you pick up you can try out a power.
Though its competitive (and you all are basically “cheating”- knocking eachother off and creating obstacles etc) it would be written as fun (they need some FUN goddamnit T_T), maybe you can bring a friend along to race but if not, its you and the soul riders so its cool.
The Red String trail was wonderful and I love it but come on guys- LETS GET DOWN TO BUSINESS. TO DEFEAT. THE SQUID. ok sorry Mulan moment carry on.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk

Me: *has an OC I’ve put hours of thought and work into, developed backstory, rich storyline, cool design, and I really wanna share them and show them off cause I’m really proud of them and they mean a lot to me*
Someone: Hey! Tell me about your OC! :)
Me: Shit man… idk… they’re a dork.

Am I the only one who never felt close to the soul riders as a character? Like, I imagined a friendship with Alex especially after the part with Elizabeth, but I don’t think they all have accepted us yet. All of the people involved kind of forgot about us, until something was needed. Then we had to save the day. But I never felt like we truly belonged there or were truly appreciated. :/

Little tidbits I’ve picked up from midsummer guests this year
Mr. Kembell has a daughter (dahlia) who will be moving to epona soon, and I think we’ll get to meet her?
Mr. Kembell paid for Jamie Olivtree to cook the midsummer feast, which proves that he is evil, because all the guests will get food poisoning.
Anne’s mother apparently suspects the truth about her disappearance.
Lisa gets nostalgic when she sees the rangers.
Maya is thinking about buying a new horse, and we might get curlies?
Avalon is well on his way to getting a puppy.
According to Alex, James might be plotting something…
According to Linda, Barney is acting oddly.
Also, Ming Yue’s ancestors were the first to tie red string on Jorvik.
Thomas thinks his son should get a sense of fashion (and so does the rest of the world), so he might get an update soon?
Loretta has big, BIG plans for Bobcats, and I think she said something about new outfits??
Feel free to add whatever else you’ve picked up from the guests this year ^-^

Why are you getting heated over someone asking for a horse... like the team isn’t even gonna do anything, keep scrolling??
Because it's a form of respect. Would you go around screaming for stuff you want? It's about principle.
It's the same shit I see every time sso posts something. People demanding help without bothering to write an email to the people who actually are there to help. People demanding special treatment while completely shitting on the people behind the game.
"Oh, you published a new horse breed? Ok, but when are you gonna update ___?"
That is not okay. You can ask for help, you can say your critique, you can say your wishes. But you absolutely cannot be disrespectful, demanding and entitled.

Imagine being this entitled.
If you are a star stable player and if you think that this whole game revolves around you and they should give a leg and an arm for you - fuck you and go get yourself some manners.

I wish star stable would allow us to claim Dew's Farm as our own. Like, we could renovate it and clean it up and put our horses there.
We could actually see them when they're outside and decorate our own home with furniture and quest rewards.
Have a little walk in closet, be able to do chores like cleaning for our own... just me??
