Pick a pokemon and describe their personality! How do you feel about them?

I honestly really love her. Namely, cuz Idk how to draw her like 99.9% of the time, but also because she’s absolutely definitely the “Aggressive Mom Friend” She will not hesitate to throw down no matter how lady-like she is.If you threaten her friends or family it’s a done deal. Also just imagining this like almost granny-like lady just football tackling a bunch of pokemon in a monster house for fun is greatly amusing. Besides, out of all these pokemon she’s probably the most suited for like taking care of Chief.

how does each team member feel about their home? is there a certain aspect they appreciate/dislike about it?
Sabi: It’s home for now. I like the defenses best though. Come wintertime, things will at least be far starker and those spikes in the front and back of the base will look like teeth. The color of it was Rags doing though and probably would’ve looked nicer without it, but I won’t complain. A base is a base.Rags: Hmph! Well I think the color is wonderful! Besides if it were up to you nothing would ever be decorated and we’d live in something resembling a box cell. Despite your best efforts, I’m not going back to cell life just yet. But for me, I like the study rooms best and the ahem spikes the least. Chief: -in the kitchen patting the big cauldron pot- Kitchen. Th-That’s mwy favowite. B-But I dun like the water owside.Ms. Pots: Darling, I honestly can’t find a fault in a base this sturdy and while perhaps a bit...unwelcoming in looks, it’s actually quite cozy. I rather enjoy the scenery around it.

OOC: Wheh
Well, I’m sorry for the sudden dropping off the face of the planet! qwq I recently got a job and only just found out yesterday that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Crest was closing down due to the creator’s need for a mental break. I, however, will continue to update and work with this blog! I just won’t do daily updates. I have a few asks in my inbox I’m trying to finish up so I’ll be working on those! Feel free to ask any of my pokemon ocs questions and I’ll be happy to draw out their answers! Also, I somehow got roped into another PMD ARPG, though it’s centered around Guilds and making your own guild so I’ll be linking that once I have it all set up! I know probably no one is reading this, but for the peeps that do, thanks so much! It’s honestly really fun to finally do something like this. But yeah, Team Yowl’s still on the Prowl!

NEW RECRUIT ALERT! MS. POTS Designed by Hush on CS for the EoTC Cherish Event #012
Please give a warm welcome to the newest recruit, Ms. Pots! A lvl 51 Cis-female Cufant
This cufant is a bit abnormal. For one, her coloration is very different making her seem adorable and cute, but that is a rookie mistake to make about Ms. Pots. While she may look and seem harmless when angered she can go onto a dangerous rampage with the only thing stopping her from total destruction is the presence of a young baby, causing her motherly instincts to win out over her bloodlust. Prim and proper, Ms. Pots is a pokemon of moral codes when she’s in her best of states and when not well, things tend to get very physical. She is well known for enjoying a good monster house. If beaten she can become demured and subdued but don’t believe her to be down for long. That rampage mood of hers tends to grow second winds rather quickly.

You were my Spark
It was a shame. In all their work together, in all their time spent training together, she should have seen this coming. But she’d hoped she wouldn’t see it at all. The calling card had given it away, as it always did. Deep gouges in ordinary places -wooden podiums, drapes, cloth, fruit, stones-, the complaints of the damaged property by a collective voice of civilians, the purposeful cleanliness of each mark. A Stitch member was near and the message was clear enough. They knew Rags was there too. The only reason to show it. When you know of the Stitches, one does not simply ignore a call. Because then things get worse. Claw marks in items turn to claw marks in flesh, missing pokemon, disasters gone horrid. If you were not brave enough to answer the call of the Stitches then they’d call louder and come to you. ‘And now,’ she thinks, watching her Poochyena partner, Sabi stare intently at a map while Chief the Larviatar cleaned the dishes in their base kitchen. ‘They’re calling for me.’ The thought makes her stomach twist into painful knots, equal parts of guilt and nerves making her tense. Honestly, she’s surprised to have lasted as long as she had. To the average passerby, however, she looked calmer than ever as she noted the deep scratches on the cauldron Chief was using to stir a stew. The sunshine lit up the kitchen area causing notes of gold to illuminate the little hovel. She blinked, catching sight of dust motes. She glanced at Sabi, who’s nose deep in a map looking for clues to where the Stitches will strike next. She wants to laugh, point out that she’s looking in the wrong direction. ‘You always were a hazard.’ A voice like smoke teases her from her memories. It makes her heart clench that much tighter. The words that came from the pit of her belly felt strange as they left her mouth, sounding far away. “I’ve got to get going. I forgot something at the market.” She won’t look at either of them as their questioning gazes fell to her and she felt her fur grow hot with the lie, but she stood firm as she always did and with a wave of her long tail she smirked as she padded out of their kitchen, and out of their base. Apprehension making her fur prickle with every step as she passes by trees upon trees, turning left instead of staying right on the path back to town. She knew the drill. She had played this game just as long as the one orchestrating it if her hunch was correct. The only one she’s been waiting for if she’s honest with herself. While in that darkened cell in Officer Magnezone’s custody she’d had a hard long look at her life. Things were not always this way. She had not always been a criminal. But life turns around no matter what you think about it, and at the age she had been then, the world was not so forgiving. She learned early. The Stitches hadn’t just been a gang of unruly pokemon, it was a family. They took care of you and yours and if you worked hard, you grew. At least that was the lie. If she closes her eyes she can still remember Him, the claws on her flank intentionally scratched as he slipped out of his own cell with help from the shadowed higher-ups and his purred words in her ears. His disappointment in her. His betrayal in the fading footsteps as he left her there as punishment for her failure. The fur on her back rises as a snarl tears from her throat. It brings her back to the present and the Scar of Exile feels new and aches. But that’s not what she’s here for. Taking a deep breath she rolls her shoulders back and forces her fur to lie back as she looks about. She’s surely walked awhile yet. A bit deeper and she’d be in front of a dungeon for sure. The Catty pokemon hums a quiet tune as she thinks. Whoever, hypothetically speaking as if she didn’t know perfectly well who had lured her out here, this pokemon was, clearly wasn’t sure how to proceed. They’d lured her out here for certain and she knew they must be nearby, but they weren’t moving. She decides to make it easier as she notes a clearing nearby. A good place for an ambush or theatrics. She notes the deep gouges in the trees and sighs. The Stitches just couldn’t help themselves and as a former member, she had to say, she wouldn’t have been able to either. The setup is just as important as the delivery as they say. She swallows thickly as she steps into the clearing and the tell-tale sound of a ‘bbzzzz bzzzzz’ lets her know that her hunch is correct. “You’ve finally decided to show your face, traitor?” The words boom out from the trees and the Glameow tries not to let it show how painful they tear coming from that voice. Instead, she smiles and lets out a pleasing purr, turning her head to find a Luxio with narrowed eyes laser-focused on her. His fur is unruly and there are shadows under his eyes that make Rags want to step forward and demand to groom him as she always had. The hardened stare he gives her lets her know that’s not acceptable now. “More like I’ve been waiting for you. You’re still new at this, Tyndel.” She smiles even though it aches. “I was wondering when you’d face me. I waited for you.” “Is that so? Well let’s not keep you waiting too long,” he snaps. “I’m here on business, Ragonia. You’ve betrayed The Stitches and that will not go unpunished.” His eyes move to her face as he speaks and Rags knows what he’s looking for. A break in her facade, a way to forgive her. She knows if she broke down right now and begged he’d wrap her up in his fur and tell her they’ll figure it out. She knows he wants her to, wants to forgive her for leaving him and she feels it as surely as she feels the air grow thick with static for each beat she remains silent. But there is no facade to break. “Very well. I accept.” The words break his heart, and his hardened stare drops to reveal hurt along his features. Golden eyes turn electric and the static grows, like a storm charged around them but there is no rain to soften the blow. But, he hesitates and Rags knows immediately he is being put up to this, knows as she watches the uncertainty in his eyes. She can’t have him be hesitant. Or else they’ll know. With resolve, she strikes. Launching herself at him, purposefully she uses fury swipes to goad him. Her claws tear through his fur and she feels an ache in her chest for each hit. She apologizes in her mind, time and time again before he hits her with an iron tail that sends her flying back. Practiced agility allows her to land but it’s not long before he’s there with fury in his eyes, convinced now. She is a traitor and it breaks her heart more than anything, but she must stand firm. He cannot know of the cell. To fight a lover is the most painful thing in the world. But if it protects him then it must be done. This resolve hardens her heart as she snarls and launches herself once more.

A rather gloomy-looking spot for an exploration team, but it’s home. Or at least it will be. Team Yowl’s still gotta pay for the damages caused to the guild so they’re staying there for the time being, though little Chief is already there and happy to mess around with the mailbox. In the gloom and doom of this place, it’ll be sure to gain only serious business which is something Sabi hoped for when she looked into it. She can only hope she and Rags don’t make any more messes at the guild.

Slowly but Surely
It takes some time.
That much is noticeable. Perhaps for both of them to come to grips with the notion that the pokemon beside them isn't the enemy any longer. Perhaps even more so the fact that they're both reformed in different ways. Whatever the case may be, Sabi is surprised by how easy it is.
She doesn't like Rags, she doubts she ever will, but there's no denying the feline pokemon's cunning nor her suave nature. It's clear she's good at being charming when her back's against the ropes and in a few of Officer Magnezone's leads to finding a few of her old acquaintances it's clear they either haven't heard of Rags' new commitment or they're more afraid of her now than the gang. Which brings one question to the Poochyena's mind. Who is Ragonia?
It's a question she finds herself asking now, as she and the ex-convict lay in separate nests, getting ready for bed at the old guild that Officer Magnezone got them a place to stay in. Sabi's curled up, her paws tucked under her belly while her thick furred tail wraps around her. If she could just cover her snout so her sensitive nose won't brush against the straw in the nest that would be great. Unfortunately, that means moving from this comfy position, and while she hates her nose to be so vulnerable to the elements she's far too cozy. So instead she takes to sleepily watching her new "partner". She uses the term as lightly as possible. They both know they hate each other. It had been hard enough just trusting each other enough to sleep. Those first few days were rough and Sabi shudders to think of them. Working together with anyone was hard but during that first week, they despised each other. It all came to a head when they finally fought out their issues. It wasn't exactly the best way to solve anything and they had destroyed the room so badly they still have to pay charges. But it was probably the best fight Sabi had in quite some time. And maybe it was because they were both angry with each other. Rags, who's cool, calm and collected mask slipped off, was downright feral when angry and it was odd to see such ferocity in the elegant feline and aimed back at her. Usually, that was Sabi's thing. After the battle and the scolding that made the Poochyena's ears burn from disappointment and shame, the two steered clear of each other for a time. But slowly, grudging respect was born from it.
Now at least, she knows better and that soothes whatever ill or ire she has remembered. Being a Poochyena means being suspicious all the time of others. That's why they have big teeth. It's easier to scare others off than to trust them and the truth rings more painfully in those words than ever. Rags, unfortunately, has to stay until they uncover The Stitches. But looking at her now, sleeping in her own straw nest, Sabi wonders about the Glameow's story. Under the window, the feline's fur gleams dark blue as the light of the stars twinkle above. The moon is but a half in the sky, milk-colored and soft. Its light softens the dark, makes the shadows a little less dark and Sabi watches quietly in her half-awake daze. And in the center of it all, oblivious to the peaceful state she's in, Rags rests. Typical.
The Dark-Type yawns, her tusks gleaming in the moonlight. She ought to sleep herself, but the question still remains. She knows little about Ragonia, and likewise, the Glameow knows little about her. She wonders if this little truce of theirs will have any sway. It’s been a long time since she’s been around someone she can somewhat stand and for all her faults, Rags is not the worst she’s had to deal with -even if she’s pretty high tier. The thought makes her chuckle and the Poochyena yawns again, before finally moving one of her paws to tuck her cold nose under. She closes her eyes slowly and falls asleep that way. Unbeknownst to her, the second she drifts off the Glameow raises her head to observe her.

New recruit approaches! Meet Chief! Designed by Wileyfangs This little guy is Chief! A recently hatched little Larvitar, Chief is still very young and impressionable. Thought to be an orphan. But how’d he find Team Yowl? And most importantly where are his parents? Questions no one really knows the answer to around here. Still, he’s a cheerful little fellow and he’s still learning how to speak. Rags and Sabi are having a hard time keeping him in check while they figure out their next move.

Team Yowl! Please meet the dynamic duo, Rags, and Sabi. [Team Lvl 1 - Currency 100 Poke - Type Combo Normal + Dark] Overview of the team- A ragtag exploration team put together by law enforcer, Officer Magnezone, in an attempt to capture a notorious group of thieves known as The Stitches. This group is made up of a large number of feline pokemon. Evasive and dangerous when apprehended, they’ve been slipping from exploration teams and officers alike. Until, however, the capture of Ragonia. Ragonia “Rags” (lvl 31) has always known strife since kittenhood but was kept on the other side of it. Walking the thin line between living the life of difficulty and playing the part of innocence. Now thrown into a world where she can no longer feign ignorance nor involvement, the ex-criminal has been tucked away on account of good behavior. For a price. Set on a near-impossible mission to capture old goons from her former gang, the once elegant and suave Glameow finds the rug pulled from under her once more. And to make matters worse, she’s paired up with the very pokemon that turned her in. She can only hope this plan works. Sly-witted, easily manipulative and hard to please, this is one feline who will take you to your limits. Playing on one’s nerves and weaknesses are what she does best, and she’ll make sure you don’t forget it. Known moves: Shadow ball, Charm, Fury Swipes, Hypnosis In the land of snow, the rules are simple. You fight, you live, you survive. The strongest eat first and the weak will be lucky for scraps. When her brothers and she went out on their own, it never occurred to Sabi (lvl 29) that the rules would still apply. It wasn’t until she found their quartet had become a trio, one that she was kicked out of, that she remembered the rules. The indignation and hurt she’d felt. The rage under her fur. She remembered them leaving her in the middle of the square as they went off on their adventure without her. Bitter and angry for it, Sabi all but threw herself into training at Marrowak’s Dojo and then when she came out she’d race to Officer Magnezone. She became known as the Iron Fang, going after criminals far higher than a pokemon of her age should. As such she’s quickly gotten a name for herself. Having not quite forgiven her brothers for abandoning her, she’s made it a rule for herself to work alone. Now when Officer Magnezone has her working with a criminal to bust a case, she’s not quite sure how to feel. She doesn’t trust this cat and likewise, the cat doesn’t trust her. But the sooner they finish this mission the sooner they can both go their separate ways. Fierce and stubborn, Sabi is not a pokemon who’s known to back down from a challenge. Her ferocity on the battlefield makes her a hard pokemon to keep boxed in and with such a serious and stoic way about herself it can be even harder to understand her motives. Known moves: Dark pulse, Bite, Double Team, Frustration

Registering Exploration Team: Team Yowl
Stats thus far Current level: 0 Tasks to complete to level up: - Create your Team - Create your starter (Completed as of Feb 1st, 8:00 pm EST)
Current Currency: +100 from Furret’s Hut for registration
The air is chilled when the two pokemon arrive from their most recent escapade, the night time sky painting their world in deep purples and blues as stars dot along the night. Their twinkling does nothing to warm either weary traveler from this prolonged journey. “We’re registered.” The words come from the lithe feline, bitterly as she glances at her stouter canine companion. A Poochyena. Never in the Normal-Type’s wildest dreams would she find herself here, willingly helping her former enemy. But life was funny in ways she definitely didn’t like. And the feeling was begrudgingly mutual. The poochyena, Sabi she knew her to be called, glared at her balefully, undisguised suspicion in her eyes. Something the Glameow was growing increasingly tired of. But they were registered and now an exploration team, something forced upon them by the twisted magnet of Officer Magnezone. As fate would have it, selling out one’s old compatriots apparently granted parole on her behalf. Instead of rotting away in some cell wondering when she’d be set free, for her honesty, she was saddled to a mutt to help track them down. As if things weren’t bad enough. Now she had to help hunt down her old gang. Even better. Officer Magnezone had been extremely clear. One wrong move and it was back in shackles and bars and if staying with this walking fleabag was the only way to stay on the right side of freedom then she’d take it. But that didn’t mean she had to like it. Together, the two pokemon stalked into the guild and immediately found their room, provided for them oh-so-graciously by Officer Magnezone’s ties. An extra room, prepared and willing to let them stay temporarily and by Arceus she prayed it would be sooner rather than later that they’d leave. Settling down on opposite sides of the room, the two pokemon eyed each other distrustfully. Hooray for Team Yowl.
