How I missed The Lost Order being released I have no clue. I love how the author Steve Berry interweaves so much history from exotic places into his novels. Imagine my joy when I read the synopsis and saw that this things around, the "exotic" destination was... Arkansas. My childhood home. Places I've known. Rivers I've fished. Too exciting!

Dumai's Wells

I don’t care how many times I reread this chapter, it still invokes such a strong emotional response in me. And two of my favorite lines in the entire series, both spoken by Taim (one of my least favorite characters), is here:

“Asha'man, kill!”

“Kneel and swear to the Lord Dragon,” he said softly, “or you will be knelt.”

Again Aes Sedai were a bit too arrogant in their power. They needed to be brought down.

And the way the chapter ends!!!

“On a day of fire and blood, a tattered banner waved above Dumai’s Wells, bearing the ancient symbol of the Aes Sedai. On a day of fire and blood Ann’s the One Power, as prophecy had suggested, the unstained tower, broken, bent knee to the forgotten sign.”

Wtf is wrong with Perrin? Grab Faile and Berelain, put them in a room. Explain to both of them that you're tired of their shit. Tell Berelain that if she doesn't stop you'll have her publicly flogged or turned over to the Maidens or something. And tell Faile that she can either grow up and learn to discuss shit or gtfo. Bugs me that RJ emasculated Perrin so.

This website is mainly focused for RPG creation, but I use it for my fantasy writing occasionally.

This freaking website will:

-Create a damn earth for you. Like an actual atlas. Just tell it the % of water and ice.

-Give you freaking demographics for your medieval cities. Down to telling how many butchers, bakers, and candlestick makers your filthy peasants would need; or how many nobles should be kissing your emperor’s ass, based on the population you want.

-Generate a tavern, along with a few notable patrons and a damn menu, based on the quality.

-Generate names for your characters.

Not even to mention the generation of dungeons, loot, and encounters by level by several different gaming systems.

Seriously… You should see this site.

Fires of Heaven Ch 53

Lan really is a wool head! Clean wounds. Phaw And Moiraine! I've heard of being dedicated, but to walk into a fight with Lanfear like that. And then she drops bombs on Rand with the letter!! Admits that Aes Sedai are power hungry and that she knew Jason Natael was Asmodean! And Sulin acting sullen. Do maidens not know how to just talk to someone? Why did she have to be so dramatic. She just caught him grieving. Holy shit that's a lot for one chapter.
