Randa is in Rwanda so the campaign is to reunite her with her six family members! She has posted an update on June 26th, almost three weeks ago:

Her family has their visa rejected when they entered Rwanda, so they are staying in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, but only temporarily. They have to borrow money to cover the high cost of living as well as issue new visas for Rwanda. (This is mentioned in her fundraiser).

Elaf Babiker ($18,570 USD / $35,000).

Elaf is a medical student in her final year as well as the eldest daughter. She wants to evacuate to Rwanda.

The RSF has claimed more terrority and closed more borders. It will be much more difficult to leave Sudan via ground transportation. So the best option is to take a flight from Port Sudan to Ethiopia and then she and her family will be Rwanda.

as mentioned previously, now have a full time job (still in childcare), but am on summer break until mid-august! very very glad it is not a year round school because i spend the whole day outside and climate change is real

i ended up getting a 1mo wiz101 membership & my friend chris + his partner and friend + me have been playing together! very exciting

i purchased a coffee bean grinder but for weed. it says not to put anything but coffee beans in it but i live on the edge and i didn't pay for warranty anyway

i got my wisdom teeth out 2 weeks ago and, as an update to my post last week, i STILL have a jaw

cannot think of other updates. real ell fans will not be surprised to know i rearranged my room again. we built a catio for my kitty in the backyard. i got an amazon gift card for teacher appreciation week and i got a roku and apparently it came with a free doordash premium membership. i went to a drag queen brunch & later discovered that one of the songs i liked was, in fact, "chappell roan" all along

tbh i don't think people really understand how dire the water situation is in the west bank. the last time i was in palestine, i could only shower once a month. ONCE A MONTH. we simply did not have enough water to sustain my whole family, because israel controls palestinians' water supply and does not give us enough to sustain ourselves in the long run. plus the water isn't very clean so it was very easy to get sick all the time. when we say that "palestinians drink more olive oil than water", it's not genuinely such a silly hyperbole as you might think.
