Rewatching GG and laughing bc I used to be such a hard die derena but i would now give my blood and soul to go back in time and make dair endgame. Like oh my god what the hell was I thinking why were the writers listening to pre-pubescent girls in the audience and their lame ass opinions DAIR COULD HAVE BEEN ENDGAME IF THEY DIDNT CARE FOR SILLY LITTLE 14 YEAR OLDS
I dont understand people that dont ship derena. Like would you have prefer Serena to end up with Nate?? Like would that have been fair to Nate? To have someone he loves so much but doesnt love him back?? You all say you care and love Nate so much but are so selfish when it comes to think that purely because he liked her and they looked good it would have been fair for him to be in a meaningless relationship…
And Serena, you all claim to love her but wouldnt have cared if she ended up with the boy she didnt love….
[also lowkey Dan and Serena are so fucking cute like how do you ignore them being so fucking adorable]

People like to poke fun at Robin for the "it's awesome the way you shoot starbolts" line, but people seem to forget that Star genuinely swelled with joy when he said that.

And that makes sense when you think about it;
Since Tamaranean powers are fueled by emotions, their powers are also an expression of emotion.
So telling a Tamaranean "it's awesome the way you shoot starbolts" is just like telling them "I love the way you smile".

Hey do y'all remember several years ago when we were all freaking out about net neutrality being overturned? Well despite net neutrality's win in 2024, a federal court just overturned it.
For those who aren't aware, net neutrality is the simple principle that companies like Verizon and Comcast should treat all web traffic equally – not pick and choose based on who is willing to pay more or who they like best. Big Tech companies obviously don’t like that – which is why they spent millions lobbying against it over the years.
Now, these megacorporations will be able to seize control back over our Internet. The likely result? Throttled access to streaming services, monopolistic pricing that cuts out competition, and a slower, walled off, and less free Internet for all of us.
And unfortunately, rulings like this will only get more common now that the Supreme Court has overturned the “Chevron deference” – giving judges, rather than qualified public servants, a blank check to toss out protections like net neutrality, environmental safeguards, or food safety standards.
When Trump’s FCC repealed net neutrality back in 2017, they gave big corporations total control over our Internet – putting free and open access at risk.
Internet providers responded by exploiting their newfound power to speed up certain websites, and slow down – or even block – others. They failed to provide crucial Internet infrastructure in rural areas, low-income communities, and communities of color. They even slashed firefighters’ Internet access during severe wildfires.
But over 126,000 people spoke out and we were able to reinstate net neutrality – until now.
The time has come again to take action: please sign this petition from Common Cause so we can reinstate net neutrality.

Letter from Clary to Jace (for Kickstarter)
[written for Theresa]
Dear Clary,
You said you wanted me to write you a letter for your birthday, so here I am, writing that letter. At first I thought that maybe you weren’t serious. After all, we live in the same house. We are not separated by time, dimensions, or the turbulent ocean, which are the usual reasons people write letters.
I thought maybe you were being self-effacing, that you just didn’t want me to go to any trouble, especially when we have wedding planning coming up (hopefully soon—since we’re waiting on a peace process, it could be a while).
So I came up with the idea of taking you on a flying motorcycle to see the Northern Lights, but when I suggested it you said no, you only wanted a letter.
I suggested we portal to the south of France and pick lavender and have a picnic, but you said no, you wanted a letter.
I suggested we use our Shadowhunter skills to break into the Met so you could stand in front of every painting for as long as you want, but you said no, you’d rather have a letter.
I suggested we portal to the Tokyo International Anime Fair, because I remembered you saying you’d always wanted to go, but you said no, you’d rather have a letter.
I suggested I could find you the best, most beautiful sword that you’d ever seen, and had your initials carved into it, or a subtle message like “I <3 Jace” but you said no, you’d rather have a letter.
And then I realized that while we have had an amazing time together all these years, and we’ve always gone around the world and seen incredible things, that things are different now. Now there is a shadow hanging over everything, the shadow of the situation in Alicante. And I realized that what you actually wanted is something you can keep with you that reminds you of hope.
So let me tell you, in this letter, why you should hope.
Because no matter what we are facing, we are still us, Jace and Clary. We still have our friends and the people who love us. We have faced so much together, and we have always come out of the darkness into light. And in the end, I believe that love will always win out against hate, because I have faced some of the greatest evil that has ever been known, and the strength I have found in how much I love you has always carried me through. So keep this letter with you, even the in dark moments. Especially in the dark moments. I hope that it brings you comfort to know that I love you more than life itself. And if it doesn’t, remember: You could have had a flying motorcycle ride to see the Northern Lights, and you turned it down.
yours,
Jace

Whenever I try and relate the core problem with the Barbie movie to somebody, I just say the phrase "BARBIE GENOCIDE MONUMENT". It's pretty much been burned into my brain from thinking about that one detail so much.
