I'd like to know your opinion about why Shinichi falls in love with Ran in their first meeting in the kindergarten. I ask you because many people criticize this scene since they find it unrealistic (they were only 4 years old) and superficial (since he hardly knew her).
You’re IN LUCK because that episode was literally just on tv here half an hour ago, so it’s fresh in my mind and I am here with more Thoughts™
First of all, just to know where we all stand and get it out of the way, that’s one of my favorite episodes/files ever. I really thought Aoyama would never tell us exactly how they met, and then he graced us with those wonderful chapters and I wept tears of absolute joy. So it’s going to be very hard for me to hate on it.
(Which means I basically won’t. But anyway.)
I understand why some people say that they find it unrealistic because they don’t act like 3 and 4-year-old kids. But that’s only the case with Shinichi, isn’t it? Sonoko and Ran and even the lil asshole kids bullying Ran all act their age. And if you mean to tell me 4-year-olds cannot bully other kids, boy have I got some first person experiences to share with you.
Anyway back to the point. Shinichi is more mature and distant and cold, sure, and he’s too smart for his age. But then again, isn’t that the whole premise of Shinichi’s character? Isn’t he too smart for a seventeen year old teenager anyway?
Why have we never, as a fandom, really considered the possibility that Shinichi may be legitimately intellectually gifted?
Because it very well could be. We know he’s clever and intelligent and has a fantastic memory and great deductive abilities. If he were gifted, he still wouldn’t act his age at 4, because some gifted kids are often much more mature than the rest (and you can trust me on this, I once extensively researched and talked to gifted kids.)
As for the fact that Shinichi fell in love with her at 4, I don’t think it’s exactly that. Listen, I’m the first who likes to boast about how it was love at first sight and whatnot, but, really, I don’t think it was. I think something changed in Shinichi for sure when he met Ran, probably –and as I’ve said incalculable times before– because she was the first kid to ever be nice to him (cause y’all know how I’m 99% sure Shinichi was bullied before he met Ran). So it was like a switch flicked in his head and he realized people could be good and sweet and kind and accept him for who he was, and that developed as a crush on her. Was it love? I don’t know, really, it could be. Little kids are able to feel love in a much more intense way than some adults, so who’s to say?
Superficial? I mean, I guess they kinda have a point, but, again, it’s not like he was as in love as he is now. Still, may I remind you, he feels something strong enough to fight that douchebag teacher with intensity until someone –Yusaku, thank God– actually listens to him. And he does all of that just to protect Ran. So, at four, after she’s smiled at him and demonstrated that kids can actually be nice, Shinichi is willing to risk everything just to save her. He is willing to set the world on fire to save her. If that seems superficial to you, alright, you win this round.
Again, I do think those first feelings resemble more a crush and an unlikely and special connection rather than love. It’s only as he grows older that those feelings mature and become stronger and deeper, and eventually he realizes it’s love. We don’t exactly know when he realizes it, but it’s way before he gets shrunk and even way before New York, and if Movie 7 is anything to go by –movies are canon in my head, don’t make me say this again– then it was probably in their first years at Middle School, if not sooner.
But what’s so special to me about that file is that –and again, I’m sorry you have to read me say this again– it perfectly sets what the ShinRan relationship is like: Shinichi, protecting Ran at all costs and low-key doing things to help her out without taking the credit for it, and Ran, seeing right through his façade always and within seconds of taking a look at him, and loving him and accepting him regardless of his flaws.
And if that’s not what y’all take away from that file/episode, I’m sorry your life is so sad.

You just answered what Shinichi would do if Ran were hurt. Now I ask you, what do you think Shinichi would do if Ran were killed. Do you think he would investigate the case, or would he be too shocked to do so?
What is it with all these asks asking me what would happen to Shinichi if Ran were killed?
Y’all really want to know what would happen if Ran were dead? We would have no more Shinichi.
There. That’s it. That’s the truth. If Ran’s dead, Shinichi shuts down. If Ran is no longer alive there is no point for Shinichi in being alive.
Y’all if we ever lose Ran, we lose Shinichi with her. End of story.

Blackout Blues (ShinRan. Drabble. College AU. Roommate AU.)
.
.
Shinichi was awakened by a generous amount of sweat dripping down his neck and back. The discomfort killing him, he propped his body up and squinted his eyes, as he, in his half-asleep state, accustomed himself to this unusually dark environment, bed lamp not doing its purpose.
Everything was pitch black, save for the ominous glow of the night sky through his window and the bright red glare of his digital clock reading 2:14AM.
So warm, he complained, as he took off his undershirt, damp from sweat, and threw it to the void. Not even a sound of static could be heard, nor the fan, nor the AC, only the plop of his shirt as it hit the floor. For a moment he thought he was dreaming, but the trickling sweat from his forehead told him otherwise. As well as the ruffling sound behind his door and the faint knock that followed.
“Shinichi? Are you awake?” came a muffled question from the other side.
Well if it wasn’t the familiar voice of his roommate and best friend.
“Ran? What’s going on?” He answered, sleepily.
“There’s been a black out.”
Ah. So that explained why.
“C-Can you open the door?”
Strange. She sounded so distressed. An emergency? He didn’t entertain any second thought as he navigated the darkness to the direction of the voice.
The silhouette of a girl leaning against the door frame welcomed him, her arms cradling what seemed like a blanket.
“What’s up? You okay?”
The silhouette didn’t reply. All he could see was the glimmer of her mood ring around her finger, as he made sense of a hand tightening its grip on the blanket.
“Do you mind if I sleep here until the power returns? I’m pretty sure it won’t take a while.”
A beat. Then she added.
“I’m scared of the dark. Please?”
He bit his tongue to stop a mocking grin.
“How old are you again? 21 or 12?”
“Don’t make fun of me! I’m really scared.”
“My bed isn’t exactly for two people, so.”
“It’s okay, I can sleep on the floor.”
“You cannot. I left my unfinished class documents and other stuff scattered there. Messy.”
“…”
“Sleep beside me.”
A breath hitched. He wasn’t sure if it was his or hers.
“We’ll be squished but… I’ll face the other side if it’ll make you less uncomfortable.”
Stupid. Stupid. That wasn’t necessary. They were best friends. Nothing they do would make the other uncomfortable. They share the same unit. They cook for each other. They practically see each other clad in just a towel everyday after baths. They…
Nothing’s ever going to make them uncomfortable anymore. Not even sharing a bed, for the first time, during a black out, in the middle of the night.
“Okay.”
See? She was totally okay with it. Everything’s cool. Totally.
Yep.
He guided her with his hand until they reach the bed. He climbed first, making sure to lie down facing the window as she followed behind him. The rustling of sheets settled down until only the sound of their calm breathing invaded the stillness of the night.
“I’m surprised you’re still awake.”
“It’s impossible to go back to sleep with this temperature.”
“You’re right,” she chuckled softly.
“Why are you still awake?” The goading in his voice was audible.
“Well aside from being scared I…I crammed my term paper and was just about to sleep when the lights went out.”
“Ah.”
“Can you proofread it before I submit tomorrow afternoon?”
“Okay. Then you treat me lunch?”
“Ugh. I already treated you two days ago. Can we chill with the favors Shinichi?” She pouted in the dark.
“Fine. You get a best friend pass.”
“A best friend pass. Right.”
Thick silence weighed upon them. He felt her warm breath fan his nape, reminding him of how close they actually were to each other.
Why was she even facing him? She was supposed to face the other side.
Her fingertips accidentally brushed the hollow spot between his shoulder blades and just like that he recoiled his back, though not as fast as how her fingers did.
“Shinichi you… sleep without clothes?”
Crap. He forgot about that.
“Like I said, it is hot. I took it off before you knocked.”
“You should’ve told me!”
“Is it necessary? You see me walking around this unit with just a towel, Ran.”
“B-but still! We’re laying on your bed!”
“And that’s a problem because?”
“Because—“ her voice flushed. “Geez. Nevermind.”
Exactly, Ran. This isn’t supposed to be a problem, right? For us?
We’re best friends.
He heard the ruffling of sheets. Curious, he stole a glance behind him, eyes searching the darkness for her features. He couldn’t find any, just a fuzzy blanket outlining the form of a body.
Oi, don’t tell me…
“You’re going to die of heat stroke.”
“What?”
“Take that blanket off. Aren’t you feeling hot?”
“Don’t wanna.”
“Don’t be stubborn.”
“I’m not being stubborn. I’m going to sleep.”
“Seriously?”
“Seriously. Good night Shinichi.”
“If you won’t take that blanket off I’ll remove it myself.”
“I’m fine I can take the heat!”
“I’m telling you, you can’t.”
“I can!”
The bed creaked as Shinichi flipped one hundred eighty degrees, fully facing her covered body. “Jesus, Ran, you are such a stubborn little—“
He forcefully pulled the blanket draped over her face, only to unravel a pair of eyes reflecting the dim light of the sky, looking back at him, so surprisingly, so intensely, until they gingerly softened upon acquainting themselves with the familiarity of his darkened built.
“—baby.”
His last word resonated so loudly, beating the silence, permanently registering in their ears like it had become the only word they understood. Her face was so close, nose almost brushing his.
What possessed him afterwards, he didn’t know. But his hand left the blanket and soon it was tracing lines on her forehead, on her cheek, until it nestled on her jaw.
His back fingers stroked the underside of her chin, feeling the accumulating moist she tried so desperately to hide by nudging her head to the side. But that only made her appear like she was pressing her face to him, closer.
“See, you’re sweating.”
“I-I’m not.”
She held her breath. Her hands clenched and frozen in front of her chest, just about the only thing keeping their bodies from mashing together. His minty breath ghosted her forehead, and there she knew she ought not to look up, unless she wanted his lips to…
She worried about the sound of her pulse. Very quick, making ridiculous thumping noises in her head and her whole body. Shinichi must not hear this. Shinichi must not hear this. Shinichi must not—
Bed lamp enshrouded his room with soft yellow light, the beep of the AC resuming power making her snap to his eyes.
He was staring right back, face flushed, pupils widening and dilating as they adjust to the sudden surge of light spilling on her face. His palm still rested on her jaw, warmth spreading across her cheeks and to her neck and she felt herself on fire. He jerked his hand away as if he had been scalded, and by reflex she rolled back, almost falling to the floor and over his scattered school papers.
“T-the power’s back. I- then I guess I’m heading back, to uh, to my room. Yep, hahaha!”
He sat upright, the back of his hand covering the bottom half of his face, looking away from her.
“Yeah…you probably should.”
Ran awkwardly scrambled to her feet, gathering the bulky blanket into her arms, before making a beeline to the door.
“T-Thanks Shinichi. Good night, see you tomo- er, I mean later.”
“Yeah, see ya. Good night, Ran.”
“Night.”
“Mhm, ‘night.”
“…”
He sat still and she stood still, eyes meeting each other again, contact lasting longer than it should have. She opened her mouth as if to say something, but decided not to. Twisting the doorknob, she stepped out his room.
“Sweet dreams, idiot,” he managed to sputter before she left.
A shy smile graced her face, as she stole one final look at him.
“You too. Idiot.”
She whispered before closing the door shut.

//coughs into the mic.
Okay listen up people. Black Knight Shinichi and Princess Ran is something we need more of here there.
After saving her life from evil dudes while she was alone, Shinichi becomes princess Ran's personal guard. He stays by her side constantly. They are in love but alas she's a princess, and he's just a knight, so nothing can happen. Still, they end up falling hard for each other, there's lots of pining and tension. Shinichi is supposed to stay by her bedroom door and guard it during the night...
What does the princess want her guard for at such late hours I wonder? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
And yeah. In case you were wondering, Sonoko knows.

"What are you doing here? its too dangerous!" With shinran? please and thank you
Hey anon! I hope this will be to your liking. I sucked at writing actions and I don’t know if this made sense but… Here you go!
P.S.: I apologise for the grammars and wrong sentence syntax. :/
Prompt: What are you doing here? It’s too dangerous!
He was bleeding.
He couldn’t feel any pain. Probably because of the adrenaline but he could feel the increasing wetness on his side and the lightheadedness.
He just wished he wasn’t leaving a trail of blood where they could catch up to him. It would be resolve by quickly examining the ground he was running on but he couldn’t afford it. Every second count because a second was what it takes between life and his death.
There’s faint light ahead of him and he felt hopeful that he could get out of it. Akai-san would be there, hopefully with Hattori. His friend had escaped earlier than him so he should be safe.
He should be.
Twenty-seven feet and he would be out of this horrible building.
Twenty-seven feet and he would finally have some help.
He was losing so much blood.
Just then, a shot went off from his behind and it barely missed his cheek.
Looking back, he saw one of them, clearly injured and having a hard time, but determined to catch on him.
“Get back here so I can kill you, you little fucker!”
Shinichi didn’t have time to pause and pay attention. He didn’t even have time to think properly, all he knew was that he should get out of here, otherwise…
Otherwise…
He would never see Ran again.
His feet heavily pounded on the cement floor and he could still hear the shots ringing behind him. He didn’t know how close the bullets were scratching him. There’s no time to think about that. The only thing in his mind was to escape. Escape. Escape and go back to Ran.
But the guy got lucky. Another fire and he felt a sharp pain in his leg and a gasp of agony tore from his throat. He had been hit. Again.
Gritting his teeth, Shinichi wouldn’t stop. He needed to get out of here. He didn’t have any more guns to defend himself. While he would only use it to immobile them, They would use it to kill him.
It slowed him down and every step was an intense pain shooting through his body as if the wound on his side was not enough.
He was losing so much blood.
It could be from the pain, or the lightheadedness, probably the uneven floor, but Shinichi stumbled forward, his knees and bloodied hands hitting the ground.
It would be just a matter of seconds.
Then he was there behind him, yanking the back of his collar until he was forcefully sat on the ground. The wound on the back of his leg stinging. The wound on his side started to feel numb.
Then the hand that was on his back turned to the front of his collar, choking him and the gun was violently pressed on his temple. The heat on the muzzle from the earlier shots burning his skin. All he could do was squint one eye in pain.
No. He couldn’t die like this.
He needed to go home to Ran.
“You’re gonna die here punk. Sticking your nose to somebody else’s business. You might have those big fishes caught, but I will be the one to deliver you to your death!”
Shinichi knew this guy already lost it. The menacingly look on his eyes was a tell and he knew that this guy would no doubt kill him.
But he didn’t want to die.
His mind was running, looking for an escape. There should be something, anything in here to stop him! His hand came up to the hand that was choking him and gripped hard, pushing him away. He would fight tooth and nail just to escape.
But his hold had tightened and Shinichi saw the dark calm glint entered his eyes. He would pull the trigger.
“Any last words, Meitantei?”
No. He couldn’t die like this. Not when he was just feet away from escape! Not when Gin and Vodka were caught! Not when this is almost over! Not when Ran was still waiting for his come back!
But he saw his finger move and as if in slow motion, he watched as it slowly pulled the trigger. And it’s the first time that cold fear gripped his heart.
He thought of Ran.
And how he’s never going to see her again.
But then a loud clanked of metal startled the man, making the hold on him slackened. He breathed in, just realizing he was choking before he saw a figure suddenly lounged in the air, bent a knee before it extended into a lightning speed, hitting the back on the man’s head with that person’s shin.
The man slumped in unconsciousness and even though Shinichi knew he was freed from that man’s clutches, he felt a shiver ran up and down his spine.
No.
Despite the dimness of the place, he could make out the outline of the person’s body.
No. No.
There’s a possibility that he’s wrong but the stance, the movement, the karate kick.
No! No! No! It can’t be!
“Ran…” he breathed, eyes wide as saucers. The fear that he hand been keeping buried in his chest surfaced with so much force it rocked him to the core.
“Shinichi…” she whispered brokenly. Ran immediately went to him and he watched wide-eyed as his girlfriend scanned him up and down, sobs escaping her lips as she saw his wounds and the state of his person.
But that was the last thing on his mind.
“Shinichi, we need to get-” but he cut her off by gripping her arm.
“What are you doing here?!” he hissed as he unknowingly tightened his grip on her. “It’s too dangerous here!”
She looked at him with the same wide-eyed stare. “What? This is not the time, Shinichi! You’re badly wounded and we need to get you out-”
“Ran, please!”
He didn’t mean it but the anger, frustration, and fear were gripping his heart so tight it’s choking him.
“I’m here to save you, Shinichi! Stop being so prideful and stubborn!”
It surprised him that Ran had decided to raise her voice at him too. He could see how she was on the verge of crying but her angry but determined stared made him feel different kinds of emotions.
It’s not about being prideful! It’s not about being stubborn! It’s about you getting in danger!
He didn’t want to dwell on it. What he wanted to dwell on was how he would get her out of here.
However, Ran took things in her hand and with her incredible strength, hoisted him up.
A pained groaned passed her lips and Ran gasped. She looked so apologetic but she’s understanding the situation that there’s simply no time. He knew she wanted to be careful but her movement was hastened and she adjusted him so his arm was around her shoulder while she circled an arm around his waist, positioning him so he would lean his body weight on her and decrease the pressure on the leg he was shot at.
They started to walk toward the opened door, carefully but with deliberate speed. They needed to get out of here soon.
Shinichi wasn’t done yet. He was still a mess of combined emotions. His mind was racing of why, how and when was Ran here but a static sound cracked near his ear. He looked at her and realized it was coming from a little earbud on Ran’s ear.
“Did you get him, Ran-san?”
It was unmistakably Haibara’s voice. Why the hell was Haibara talking to Ran?
“I have him, Ai-chan. Please prepare the first aid kits. Shinichi’s been shot.”
He could make out the trembling in her voice but when he looked at her, despite the tear collecting on her eyes, she was still determined.
“Okay. The chopper will be outside. FBI, CIA and the police already surrounded the area but you have to hurry. We don’t know if others will definitely after Kudo-kun’s head.”
Like the last guy that tried to bury a bullet in his head.
He heard the thundering of her chest because of their proximity but his girl was strong. She nodded and told Haibara they were a few feet away.
When the sunshine hit his face, Shinichi squinted his eyes. He was in the dark, in the black for so long that he forgot its summer outside. The sky is clear of clouds, an endless blue. A shine of hope that finally, it’ll be over soon.
He looked at Ran once again and this time, she looked back at him. Her face was tired and her cheek was smudged with dirt. Her hair that was up in a tail was tangled and a bit messy. But she was smiling at him, reassuring him that it will be over soon.
And despite his want for Ran to never be involved in this fucked up situation, he was thankful.
Then a gust of strong wind whirled around them, they look up to see the chopper going down. There were Haibara and an equally wounded Akai-san.
They helped them to get up the helicopter and despite the shooting pain in his side and legs, he endured so just they could get away from here.
Once he was on his back on the helicopter’s floor with Haibara trying to fix him, Shinichi’s bloodied hand captured Ran’s who was by then trying to help the little scientist on what to do with his wounds.
She looked at her, tears streaming down her face. “You’ll be alright.” She whispered as she brushed his bangs back.
There’re so many things to ask. There’re so many things to clear. Her involvement. Haibara’s revelation. Conan.
But her smile and assuring eyes made him feel okay. For the first time in what he could say for days, he felt at peace. Here beside her, despite the bleeding, despite the pain, he felt safe.

Y'know, Ran denied being Shinchi's girlfriend, or even having feelings for him for literal years. Despite that, she still looked forward to acts from him that clearly surpassed firendship and she secretly took as romantic because she liked him. What do you think she would do if someone told her that she wasn't his girlfriend, he might not return her feelings, and it wasn't in her right to act as if she was already dating him? (Ex: getting mad when she thought he was with 'another' woman).
Hmmmmmm
I think she’d just be kinda embarrassed and a little sad/disappointed and called out and shot down.
Also cause the whole thing about Ran acting like that is that, deep down, she really wishes Shinichi feels the same way about her. We’ve all been there, right? We’ve all had a crush on/been in love with someone and really wished and hoped they felt the same way. But she had the added bonus of already being super close to him and having the excuse of “we’ve known each other our entire lives” to justify worrying about him or missing him or being interested in his love life –the same excuse Kazuha uses, by the way.
Also, there’s two other things to contemplate here:
1) I don’t think anyone in their sane mind would ever say that to Ran because, as we’ve seen, literally everyone who has known Shinichi and Ran for more than two seconds knows that they’re in love with each other and will eventually get together.
2) And I think I’ve talked about it before, pretty much from The Desperate Revival on, but especially after the Shiragami Case, Ran’s pretty much realized, deep down, that Shinichi feels the same way about her, so she feels a little bit more entitled to act like they’re just a couple even if it’s not technically official and she says they aren’t

In the Kyoto arc, do you think that if Shinichi hadn't been jealous of Okita, he would have asked Ran for an answer to his confession in London? Do you think the relationship between the two would have advanced anyway?
Yyyyyyyyyes I’m inclined to say yes because, granted, Okita was the tipping point (everybody say THANK YOU SONOKO) but I think Shinichi pretty much went on that trip knowing that Ran was only going to answer his confession if they saw each other in person and that it was one of the few chances he had to finally do something about it. So I think he would’ve gone for something similar to what we saw either way –after all, he did go for the full make out, let us never forget this.
I think the only thing the Okita factor changed was the way he approached Ran about it. If he hadn’t been jealous as fuck and pissed off about Okita, he would’ve probably done it when they were alone, and he would’ve beat around the bush a lot more, and been less straightforward about it. Whereas what actually happened was that he was so distracted by his jealousy that he just spat it out –which to me was A+++.

Remember that one scene in the end of movie 11 (the pirate ship movie, yes) where Ran tells the story of how Shinichi once lent her his only umbrella saying that he had another one with him but he totally didn't and then he couldn't go to school for a few days because he caught a cold after having to run home under the rain?
I do. I never forget about that. And neither does Ran apparently.
ShinRan fluff + ☔ because it's a thing and we all know it.

Hiii, i love your stories soo much and thank you for sharing it!! Since you grant us a sequel of one of your drabbles, I want to try to ask as well a continuation of the AU college with the "she's my wife" if it's not too much to ask....? I read it 3 times already and I always swoon on it. :D thank you whatever your decision! :)
Thank you for liking my drabbles! It’s always great to see comments like these, they always motivate me to write even if I’m in a rut.
You can support me via Ko-fi or Paypal, I would be truly grateful!
The fact that Shinichi was married and he had a gorgeous as hell wife spread throughout the university like a wildfire. Shinichi was faintly aware that people had questioned his sexual orientation but he didn’t know that it was such a hot topic.
Kirishima had updated his instagram with a photo of Ran, Satoshi, Yamaguchi and himself doing the peace sign with cheesy smiles, captioning it with an even cheesier Happy Wife, Happy Life. Shinichi cold have sworn his eyes rolled back so hard he could see the back of his skull.
2 hours later and that post was the most liked and commented post from a student of the university. Reactions varying from shock, to glee, to congratulatory, to rude as fuck questions like Damn, the chick’s hot. What’s her @, Kirishima? Satoshi had to take away Shinichi’s phone before he could set that asshole straight for hitting on his wife. As the hours passed on and more people got curious about his wife, Shinichi decided to take this matter in his own hands.
With an approval from Ran, there was a newly added post on Shinichi’s instagram. With none other than Ran and him holding hands and showing off their wedding rings. 8 hours later and Shinichi’s post was the most liked and commented one from a student of that university.
Honestly, he had never consciously made the decision to show off his relationship status. His personal life was his and it shouldn’t have mattered to anyone whether he was single or not. When he voiced that opinion, he was met with a “Dude, you’re like the most popular guy in this uni, of course people are curious whether you’re single or not,” and “I getcha but bro, no,” and a “Oh, so things haven’t changed that much from our high school days, huh?” That last one was from Ran and he glared at her, to which she just showed off her toothy smile.
Cute but mean.
And thus began the regaling of Satoshi, Yamaguchi and Kirishima’s chronicles about their many, many attempts at guessing Shinichi’s sexual preference. By the time they were done thoroughly embarrassing him, Ran was red in the face with her hands clutching her stomach in an attempt to control her laughter.
The three of them absolutely loved Shinichi’s wife. Ran, as she had allowed them to call her, was a riot. She was a karateka, a history major and a ball of adorableness. She was polite yet sassy and it didn’t take long for them to fall platonically in love with her.
With promises of meeting again in the near future and well meant teasings, Satoshi, Yamaguchi and Kirishima were on their way back to the campus, bidding the couple goodbye. Halfway through, Satoshi recalled that he had forgotten his keys back at Shinichi’s place and with slaps aimed at his head for being forgetful, they traveled their way back to Shinichi’s apartment.
They bickered all the way up to his room and knocked on the door, waiting for it to open up. They waited for a few seconds for Shinichi to answer but when there was no response, Satoshi knocked again.
“Yes, I’m coming,” Shinichi’s voice hollered, followed by a sound of giggle.
Oh no, oh no, oh no.
They knew they had messed up. Him taking this long to answer? That giggle? That slight strain in his voice? Yep, they had fucked up their friend’s chance.
When Shinichi opened the door with his shirt buttoned up haphazardly, his hair in a disarray and slightly out of breath, they shot him a sheepish smile to which he just glared at them like they were the devil himself.
Shinichi arched his eyebrow and asked, “Anything you guys want? not letting them inside the apartment. At this point, all they wanted was for the ground to swallow them whole.
Satoshi rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled in an embarrassed tone, “Yeah, sorry, man. I left my keys.”
Before he was done finishing his sentence, Shinichi closed the door. They could hear him rummaging around the house and the sounds of giggles and their embarrassment grew even more. After a few minutes, Shinichi handed Satoshi his keys and asked, tension apparent in his voice, “Anything else you guys want?”
“No! No, no no, no.” They chorused, “Sorry, man. We’re just gonna go, Bye!”
Before they could step away, they heard Ran shout, “Bye, guys, hope you have a good night!”
They didn’t even dare to look inside the apartment. The way Shinichi was guarding the door, they knew he would gauge their eyes out if their eyes wandered.
With a “Bye, Ran!”, they shot off like a canon. There was no way they were gonna overstay their welcome, which wasn’t much of a welcome if they were to be honest, just to see Shinichi bore holes in their skulls for interrupting his time with his wife.
They valued their life too much to get between a horny Shinichi and Ran.
