Yes, Rami Malek is pale, but both of his parents are Egyptian immigrants. He is still very much not a white person, he has a tan, and the remake does a good job of pointing that out. Yes he's still pale, so you can draw him that way, but I saw too much fanart when the game first released where Josh had the same damn skin tone as Chris and Sam.

Josh, Hannah, and Beth are not white. The actress for Hannah and Beth is also a first-generation American to ethnic parents.
