An Adult. I like robots and cartoons and visual novels/dating sims. I appreciate likes. Anti-Nazi, anti-facist, anti-authoritarianism, anti-harassment,anti-bullying. All of these things should be assumed, but the state of the world lately makes me feel it necessary to say. And that's terrible.

You think this ship is problematic due to some arbitrary moralist stance that is indistinguishable from Puritanism.
I think this ship is problematic because it doesn't have enough lifeboats and there were a lot of cut corners during its last inspection.

Tips from me for dealing with trolls that I can’t always follow but love to keep in mind;
If someone makes a bigoted joke or implication, or uses a buzzword, ask them innocently to explain, you don’t understand the punchline/what that term means. Don’t let up if they say something like “You know…” just keep asking innocently.
If someone says something frothingly hateful or smug to you, stay as nonchalant as you can and calmly, politely dismiss them. These kind of people thrive off of attention and outrage, so don’t give it to them. Just calmly say something like “Ok buddy” and then ignore them. There’s not many ways they can come back from something like that that don’t make them look like an overreacting asshole, and you honestly don’t owe them your attention and energy.
If someone tries to debate you, see the above point; a calm, not-rude “Nah, I’m not interested, thanks.” Or an “Ok then.” They won’t have a way forward and, again, will have to make an asshat of themselves to push the conversation.
If you’ve done the above and they keep pushing, maintain the calm, polite dismissals. “Sure, ok. Alright buddy. I have to get back to work here, you have a nice day.”
Save your energy for the people that matter, and for loving and helping them. Don’t give it to someone who wants you to react so they look like the reasonable party and can point at you like “See? Overly emotional babies, I’m the better person.”
Don’t give them that. Be calm, be polite, don’t take the bait, and like 99% of the time, they’ll either hoist themselves on their own petard or end up speechless, standing and gaping ineffectively like a catfish.
Both are beautiful to behold.
Signed,
A woman who had to deal with similar tactics from her sister a LOT growing up and has learned a LOT in her thirty four years about when to blow your top and when to stay cool and watch them explode themselves

Your takes on RSD are dogshit and you’re contributing to the stigma against people who actually experience it, do better
my "take" that it's a trauma reaction and you can learn to deal with it properly in relationships? what's wrong with saying that? I literally can't figure out how this statement could make someone upset...

Absolutely buckwild thread of ChatGPT feeding & amplifying delusions, causing the user to break with reality. People are leaning on ChatGPT for therapy, for companionship, for advice... and it's fucking them up.
Seems to be spreading too.

Hey do y’all remember when Boeing fucking killed a guy last year. And we all said “huh I guess Boeing fucking killed a guy” and then went on with our lives. And everybody knew that Boeing had fully just fucking executed a guy and nothing came of it. Like there was no police investigation no justice no nothing. Like literally EVERYBODY knew that Boeing had full on murdered a guy to silence him and there wasn’t any consequences for them. Kinda crazy.
