Baby Sleep Schedule for Birth to 2 Month
Overall Sleep: During the first months, babies sleep in snippets, expect 14 to 18 hours a day. With waking up throughout the day to feed. In the early weeks, you can expect your little prince and princess to fuss from hunger 10 to 12 times a day.
The day starts… usually at 7 a.m.
Napping: The little snoozers will wake up every hour or two and then nap for the same time again for the first 4 weeks. During week 5-8 if your baby is sleeping for like 1.5 to 2 hours, it’s actually a good idea to wake him up for feeding. Nighttime sleep…starts around 7 to 9 pm now. Your baby’s longest stretch is likely a glorious 7-10 hours at night!
Sleep Schedule for a 12 Month Baby (Happy Birthday!!!)
Overall sleep: Hooray!!! 12 to 14 hours in a day’s cycle.
The day starts… at 6 to 7 am
Napping: 2 naps, total 2 to 4 hours daily.
Nighttime sleep: usually starts earlier, with your baby hitting the hay between 7-9 pm. Early enough for mom and dad to get some alone time! The longest sleeping stretch usually averages 7 to 10 hours at night.
