I'm curious because I'm pretty sure I'm an outlier (my mom's a librarian so we went very often when I was younger) but I want to know if that's true.

the other day my friend and i got a sleeper train to a seaside town, and as we were crossing the promenade we passed a woman who waved cheerily at us and said "i think i saw your twins on the train this morning!"

the smart reader will recognise that she was making a joke about how she remembered seeing us on the train, but we were both so frazzled from the journey that we could only stare blankly at her. i stuttered out something along the lines of, "um, i don't think so? i don't have a twin.."

she looked at us, frowned for a second, and then understanding dawned. she gave us a knowing smile and said confidentially: "it's okay - my son is autistic"

just had an extremely funny memory of being 9 years old and wondering if i was gay and then deciding i couldn't be because gay people were so rare that it was statistically improbable for me to be one

In theory I do sometimes think that like, egg speculation and forcefem jokes and stuff like that can sometimes be a little overbearing and pushy and sometimes even a little misdirected in a way we ought to think about more but in practice any time I try to put this principle into action and step in to say "come on girls, leave him alone" the guy in question always comes out with some shit like "thanks Alexa, they're always so mean to me when I'm just trying to do my normal cisgender hobby of making OCs that are basically just me as a girl and getting kind of sad for some reason when I look at them" and I'm just like come on man don't do this to me.
