why is 2d so fucking annoying

murdoc would never stop pushing, and nagging. half the fun in his every day life was making sure stu wasn't having any. 2D may have slipped through his fingers a few times, and by his own hand, it never lasted long. finding new, and creative ways to drag stu back when he wanted him.

the taller is waved off stubbornly. second slice of bread buttered up. murdoc holding it out expectantly. making sure stu is eating, and he's not going to end up dead in one of the holes in the yard. they're not suppose to be graves. probably.

glaring over the second slice of toast in his hand, murdoc doesn't seem entirely pleased with 2D's bitching, and moaning. "all you have to do is sing. you're such a fucking child." the frustration has murdoc considering crunching the toast in his hand with a balled fist.

"it's not like you do fuck else around here. when's the last time you helped write a song? you barely even wear the colours like the rest of us."

like, stuart is the bad sport.

"we do everything for you. for what? so you can complain?"

“ yeah ? ” distant, like, murdoc is only half paying attention.  down an awful train of thought, jonestown certainly had been a thing. hadn’t it. it might almost be worth a little more research into the past for some inspo. “ how big of a shipment of cyanide do you think we could get our hands on ? ” then, it’s like murdoc realizes he’s said the inside bit out loud. his eyes snap back to reality, to noodle’s face.  “ heh. — joking, of course!  ”

murdoc stops listening.  he could not give less of a fuck if he physically tried.  it’s exhausting trying to be nice. because that’s what he is for putting up with dumb shit, like 2D’s stuttering ass every day. a small part in the back of his mind tells him he should be grateful stu hasn’t fucked off. but, initially his face reads irritation.  “ ridiculous. ” scoffing as he leans away from the other, again.  eyes sharp, he watches long pianist fingers toy with the hat.  “ yeah. you are in the band. so you need to stay on brand. it’s gorillaz. not stuart potz. ” it feels like a waste of time. no matter how many times he explains. over, and over, he doesn’t expect 2D to see the vision. maybe starting a cult, and dragging his pals down with him was the next on a long list of selfish things murdoc has done in his life.  reaching for the toaster, he’s annoyed. he can’t just watch stu drag — ass. yanking the slices of toast from the little slots, he drops them on the counter in front of him. digging through the drawer for a ( probably ) harmless butter knife.  “ you want butter ? ” he asks.  but, doesn’t wait for an answer. dragging the little plate of room temperature grease across the counter. he drags the knife over the bread, then offers the first bit over.  “ here. ”
